No draw string!
11-20-08 ![]() |
Let me be clear - these are very well made, but . . . ... They do not have a draw string! This is a serious failing since the sizing is rather unique. I'm 6' 180 lbs with a 33 inch waist. I've always worn large but I don't know what "large" means in the Castelli world. Let me put it this way - if you have a 35 inch waist, a 30 inch inseam, legs like pencils, and no butt - these are for you. I had to buy some suspenders. |

Pearl Izumi Zephrr Vest - Men's

Vest is quite good at blocking the wind but the sizing is off. The Large is really more of a Medium. I mite expect this from a European manufacturer, but not Pearl. |

Excellent Pack

Well designed with lots of pockets and a very comfortable strap system. I've used it for both day hikes and climbs and have no complaints. My favorite small pack. |

Sizing Problem
05-20-05 ![]() |
Despite what it says in the description of the shoe, these babies run SMALL. Wearing my usual size of 10 1/2 and Thor-lo hiking socks, the toes on my left foot were so sore after a 7 mile run(with a lot of down-hill)I could hardly walk the next day. They're also narrow, so if you have a wide foot - be warned. |

Mt. Zion Stretch Pants

Somewhat disappointing. Pants are quite tight, not loose-fitting and only have a slight stretch - they bind me a bit at the knees when I have to step out to reach a ledge, for example. As for color, they're described as "Olive" which to me means a shade of green. These pants are brown. Altogether, not a strong recommendation. |
