Great for small men
12-07-06 ![]() |
I'm not a boy, I am a man. A small man. About 5'6', 125 lbs. The Gotham Jacket is a pretty cool jacket, very warm, lots of pocket. Plus the furry hood makes you feel like a kitty is in your coat. Awesome? Yes! |

Small and awesome!
12-07-06 ![]() |
I'm a little guy, 5'6" about 125 lbs. I'm pretty sure the Tadpole 23 was made for me. It's really light weight, great for backpacking. The mesh ceiling is really nice too, it's makes stargazing on cold nights incredible. The shape is realy unique and it's easy to set up. I've slept me and buddy in there with plenty of room, don't let the small size fool you, there's a good amount of room. The vestibul is spacious, I've fit 2 packs and 2 pair of boots with room to spare for my stove. It's worked it all seasons, it even stood strong in a mid winter storm when my snow cave colapsed on me. This tent is a winner for sure. |

Like a second skin this stuff!
12-07-06 ![]() |
I love my Patagonia Capilene 3 bottoms. I'm usually a merino wool type of guy, but these bottoms have proved themselves. I wear them whenever I go out on a cold adventure. I really like to wear them with shorts when I go climbing in the late fall/winter/early spring. They are bomb proof. I've owned them for 4 years now and not one hole and never have I been cold my the nether region. I would move to merino, but these bottoms won't let me. I'm affriad they'd try to strangle me in my sleep if I ever betrayed them. They're tough! I wouldn't mess with em. |

So light and so nice.
12-07-06 ![]() |
I took the OR Prophets out snowboarding on a really chilly day, and they were great. Nice and warm, enough for my hands to sweat. The Gore-Tex liner worked like a charm. The minute my hands started to sweat, the glove wicked my hands dry. These probably wouldn't be the best glove on super cold days. But for semi-cold to spring conditions they're great! |

Versatile and rules.
12-07-06 ![]() |
I wear this North Face jacket all the time. It's great for climbing. The range of motion is nice, it breathes well, the hood is big enough for a climbing helmet, and the pockets are placed perfectly so I can wear my harness over it. This jacket just rules. I wear it around town all the time, it's a good lookin jacket for sure. I have to layer under it on really cold days, but for the most part it's warm all by itself. |

Warm like a goose!
12-07-06 ![]() |
This is a great down jacket. Super light, easily packed, and ultra warm. I've worn it to the bar and on summits in December. Never fails. The outer shell is a bit delicate but is stands up well. I highly suggest this jacket when sleeping in a snow cave. It kept me toasty on many cold nights. Best mountaineering down jacket I've used yet. |

Sweet tights

These puppies provide some great support without rubbin me the wrong way. I have bad knees and on long bike ride they tend to give a bit. While wearing these tights I've seen some improvement, more stability, and comfort. They wick like no other, very breathable. I highly suggest these bad boys. |

Skin tiiiiight

I've worn this shirt on many long distance bike rides and it really does the trick. It's super light and breathes really well. It's a tighter fit than I'm used to, but it wicked better than any other piece I've used so far. |

Pshhhh.....shower?.... Ha!
12-07-06 ![]() |
I've fallen in love with merino wool, and the Icebreaker Bodyfit Long Sleeve is my lover. Not only does this thing keep me warm in every condition I've thrown at it, but it adjusts to my body temperature. If I'm cold it warms me up. If I'm warm it breathes and cools me down. Plus it never stinks!...and I'm the stinky kid. I've stopped showering and just cover myself in merino. My life is now complete. Thank you Icebreaker! |

Sooooo light.
12-07-06 ![]() |
I bought this XL Racing set for short tours in the backcountry. The crampons and axe are very light and nice for when things get a bit steep. Definitely not suitable for most mountaineering adventures but great for some of the mellower stuff. Again...so light! |

Coffee!!!!
12-07-06 ![]() |
I was a little sceptical before using this coffee press with my Jetboil. But it works great! I usually have to press it twice to keep the grounds out, no big deal. Now I can make a cup of coffee where ever or when ever I want. You don't want to see me without my daily cup of coffee. Seriously. |

I like pants!
12-07-06 ![]() |
The Paramount Convertable Pants are my favorite pants to wear on all my outdoor adventures. The convertable feature obviously makes them versatile. I wear them hiking, climbing, camping, or just laying around the house. I decended a 200 ft. snow field in these guys all on my butt. Nylon rules, makes a great "buttsled". There are a bunch of pockets, and they're deep, really deep. I like pants, especially my Paramounts. |

Here kitty kitty!
12-07-06 ![]() |
I bought this sleeping bag a few years ago. I've put it through hell. After numerous camping trips in all four seasons and a few dozen trips across the country this bag has yet to fail me. It packs down reasonably small, it's light enough, and warm too. I love Polarguard Delta now, it's given me many warm nights while my buddies freeze their butts off. Ha Ha! It's not made of cats, but you'd think it was by how warm and snuggly the Cat's Meow is. |

Always use protection!
12-07-06 ![]() |
The Ecrin Roc is the first helmet I ever used, and it's never failed me. Not the lightest helmet out there, but I can hardly tell I'm wearing it for the most part. The fit ajustment is simple and tough, and it ventilates well too. I've used it on mid summer trad routes and some winter mountaineering and mixed climbing routes and it does the job. It's funny, I only smack my head on the rock when I'm wearing this thing. Helmet karma I guess. I highly recommend the Ecrin Roc for excellent noggin protection. |

Merino = Heaven.
12-07-06 ![]() |
I just got this full zip and it rocks. I will no longer go out without merino wool on my person. This thing breathes really well, and keeps me warm when it get chilly all the sudden. It works best when layered with another merino piece. It's super comfy and doesn't itch in the slightest. I was suprised how handy that chest pocket is. I used a lot more than I thought it would. Rarely do I have to remove and add layers cause this stuff adapts to you. Long live merino wool. |

Nice package dude!

This was the first climbing set up I ever bought. That was 3 years ago and I'm still using the same gear. The harness is comfortable and super versatile. Adjustable leg loops, easy access gear loops, the whole nine. It's a great deal for a sweet set up. |

I like boots!
12-07-06 ![]() |
This boot is really nice. It took only a few trips to break in. For short mountaineering trips they killed it. On some of the longer trips they gave me a little trouble. I definitely suggest getting some footbeds for these bad boys. I've got some gnarly blisters, but footbeds made a big difference. I slipped in a river in the middle of winter camping and my feet stayed warm and comfy. Wow. Great boots, I like boots. |

I have used this jacket a lot. Whether it be fishing, camping, rock climbing, or just walking around. It's ultra lightweight and comfortable, plus it breathes really well. It packs down super small. The Epic is the best rain shell I've ever used. Dare I call it an "Epic" jacket...he he he....um |
