Comfortable fit, difficult to tighten the laces

I ordered these mid-height boots after owning a pair of North Face XCR running shoes that I loved for hiking (not running, though). I live in Appalachia, and there is almost no time of year that it's not wet, so Gore-Tex is key. The shoes fit well out of the box. I wore them all day running errands, and they were fairly comfy until the very end of the day. What I haven't been able to figure out is lacing them tight enough at the ankles so they don't slip, but not cutting off my circulation at the same time. Other hiking boots I own/have owned, had hooks for the upper laces, and these are running laces, so it's more difficult to adjust the laces to tighten them at the ankle. The shoes are lightweight, true to size, and fit well across my wide forefoot. The XCR breathes fairly well, no sweaty feet here! All in all, I really like the shoes, and I WILL tackle the lacing issue. |

Great fit, great material weight, nice stretch

These are the perfect summer knockabout pants. The lightweight stretch material is comfortable and loose-fitting. I first ordered a red pair, and liked them so much I ordered another pair in the green color. The green ones are just as comfy, but are a little bit more translucent. They are true to size, and not a slim fit, as mentioned above. I love SportHill clothing. They fit well, and last a long time. They're also very well suited to their purpose - ie, running pants great for running, these pants are great for walking/hiking/water sports/beach. My only complaint would be they seem to stain easily, though this is complimented by the fact that they wash just as easily and hang dry. |
