| I bought these bibs to give me more options on a ride from Portland to SF. They worked out great. The pad is a little thinner than most that I have had, but I can't complain for the price. The I am 6'0 and 165 and the large fit well. The front part of the bib does ride a little high. My wife calls them my grandpa bibs. Bottom line: if you want bibs and aren't looking to spend a ton, these are the ones. |

| Great fit but cut too high 07-06-09 |

| These shorts feel great on the bike and off but they are a bit of a struggle to get into as the strap material is very stiff. They are also cut very high in the front and, again because of the lack of stretch in the material, impossible to pull down low enough to answer the call of nature in the usual way. Gets old having to take off all jackets and jerseys at every bio-break. |

| First, as many people have said, you MUST size up. I normally wear a medium, and I had to get a large because the straps were way too tight on my shoulders. As for the shorts themselves, they are not really that great. They're pretty cheap material, the chamois is not particularly comfortable, they are cut too high in the front, the material on the straps is rough and uncomfortable, and I do not think that they would hold up on a ride longer than a couple of hours. I pretty much wear mine only when all of my good shorts are dirty. |

| Others have reported on the difficulty of getting into and out of the snug bib part of these shorts. It's true, not because the bibs are made of stiff material but because the fit snugly and the shorts are relatively high waisted. Buying larger by two sizes is recommended and being prepared to return for a size exchange after trial. These considerations taken,
I have few other reservations about these shorts.
The snug fit has not bothered me, nor has the tight, elasticized leg prevented addressing natural calls without undressing at the roadside.
The supposedly thinner artificial chamois is more comfortable than most of my other bib shorts but may chafe at the very rear. It provides a snug fit and support for the 'package', has no bothersome seams, and is stretchy in all directions. BTW the thick, gel- packed chamois on a house brand bibshort from another big catalog, online cycling retailer, meant to be super comfortable have usually caused me pain ful lesions after only a two hour ride. Thin chamois, like hard saddle, is not a negative in my experience.
For the price, these bib shorts seem high on quality, comfort and function. They are an unbelievable bargain at the price compared to the horribly over priced products of the brand names. |

| First of all, I should explain that this is my first pair of actual cycling shorts, so I do not really know what "good" or "bad" ones are like.
That being said, I really like these. I ordered an XL, which was a blow to the ego, as I'm 6'2", 185 lbs and in good shape. But it fit with the chart, so I went with it. When I got them I was kinda confused. Um, are they supposed to be so tight? Do I need an XXL *cringe*? Well, due to Backcountry's AMAZING return policy, I decided to give them a try and see how they felt.
I did 33 miles in them today and they are WORLDS apart from what I used to wear (running shorts...cringe again). They actually fit perfectly, and the price is even better. I may even pick up another pair. |

| I really like these short, although I have to agree with another reviewer they do run small. I liked the pad and fit though, the tighter the better for me. If you don;t like tight shorts you want to go up one size. |

| I just got back from a 24 mile ride and I'm glad I got these with 45% off (even more of you get them off of Bonktown), because the only difference between this and my $29.99 Performance Century shorts are these are bibs. I guess for this price one can't complain. |

| Nice pair of bib shorts for the price. Unfortunately, these shorts run small, and I couldn't actually ride in them. I'm 5'-5", with a 29" waist, 135lbs, and the "Small" was too small for me, which is extremely unusual unless it's European sizing. The size chart is off...I believe the "S" is actually "XS", and "M" is an "S", and so on... |

| I wear a medium in most cycling cloths. I'm 155lbs, and 5-10ish, overall muscular build. I wear around a 29-30 waist. That puts me at a medium according to Zipps sizing chart. Turns out they are just a bit small in every way. Should have bought the large (there were no reviews) The chamois is pretty comfortable. Bought off bonktown for ~35ish, so I really can't complain. |
