Up and down the Andes blister free 03-10-08

I recently hiked about 15 miles in the Andes with these shoes and they were fantastic. Zero blisters and my feet felt great. I only wore them for 2 hours walking around the airport to break them in. Highly recommended! The style is great also, I got so many compliments!

These shoes look and feel great. I've been dashing all over town and trail with them and the break in time was short. Only felt a little stiff on the top of the foot initially. Also I've gotten many compliments on how they look. my sister has now got her eyes on a pair too.

I don't know about you, but when I put on a hiking shoe, I want the immediate reaction to be ahhhh! This shoe felt stiff and uncomfortable and without any squishiness on the sole. I sent them back immediately. Outside the shoe looked great, nice style and good tread - but I want my feet to feel good. And I wasn't going to wait for any "break in period." Sorry but that's my review...for what it's worth.

The Kota met my expectations on look/style—online pics are true to reality. However, I didn't feel like I could hike a few miles and forget they were on my feet. They felt a little clunky and rubbed in wrong places.

These are great looking shoes. They have a short break-in time. They’re very comfortable. Great for trekking around town or light hiking on easy to moderate terrain (not much ankle protection for steep descents). Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase.
