I bought this to replace my older The North Face fleece. Fits very well, and I wear it everywhere. Surpassed my expectations.

This is a great light weight jacket. Not great for wind, but not advertised as so. Warm for layers, and good fit all around.

good, but really lightweight 02-23-09

This is a very lightweight jacket. Not to say that is bad, would be good for jogging on chilly mornings. About half as thick as my tka 100 pullovers from TNF. The stretchy panels on the shoulders are a nice idea, but the slightly different material that they are made from makes noise when you move, I found it distracting.

i really like this jacket. it's got a relaxed fit that is a bit more casual than some of the more athletic cuts. That is what i was looking for. I did find that because of the relaxed fit i needed to drop a size from a L to a M. I am 5'8" 185 lbs. It is a good thickness for a mid layer-not too bulky and breathes very well. I also like the stretchy fabric. the outer side of the fabric is very smooth and almost feels like light softshell material. the inside is very soft-love it. i would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive, lightweight, relaxed fit, sharp looking fleece or softshell. Would not recommend for more technical applications like climbing or real cold weather activities-even as a mid layer

looks more like a long sleeve shirt than a jacket 07-21-09

The other reviewers on for this item are correct when they say that it runs larger than usual. This item was advertised as a fleece jacket, but it looks more like a long sleeve shirt since it is very thin and runs larger than normal. I ended up returning this item because I was looking for more of a jacket look than a long sleeve shirt look. I can't comment on whether this item is warm or not, but if I had kept this item, I would use it as a mid layer under a shell jacket or parka than a jacket itself.

This is a great light jacket. It Looks awesome, and it'll keep ya warm on those chilly days or nights on the trail. If you're looking for something to keep you real warm this isn't the jacket for you. It would make a great layer though. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't block the wind very well. If there is a breeze you will definitely feel it.

I got a good deal on this one. Not too impressed, but it makes a nice casual jacket. I have the TKA Stealth, and like it much better. Much warmer too. For fit. Im 5'8" and built, the medium is a nice fit as I find larges are a bit long for me.

Super Comfy - Great Mid Layer 02-12-09

This fleece is awesome. Not incredibly warm and doesn't block a ton of wind, but it does make a great mid layer. I wear it under the BC.com Shift Welder and the combo is bulletproof. That said, it's very comfortable and stylish. Runs a bit big, I typically wear a M, but dropped to a S in this fleece and it fits great (5'7", 165lbs, Athletic Build). The basin blue color looks so much better than the monitor display.

Gave this jacket to my son for Christmas. It was a replacement for the one he left an the airport in Houston. So, it must be GOOD. He loves it. And, I could not have asked for a better shopping experience. Thanks Backcountry.

This jacket keeps the wind out and the heat in. Its very lightweight and works great for layering. Its polyester lining is comfortable, and superstretchy fleece works well against the outside elements. I recommend this jacket.

This jacket is only about as warm as a standard sweatshirt or light fleece. However, it looks good and the fit is nice - not too loose, but not way too tight.

I use this North Face as a top layer on warm days and combine it with my Helly Hansen shell on colder days for skiing. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is too wide around the waist for me. I am pretty tall (6'5") and not the thinnest person, but if I want the arms to be long enough I needed to buy an XL. I love the stretchy feel though!

This is my second of three North Face jacket purchases and I have yet to be disappointed. I went to a Major League Baseball game for a "Pups in the Park" night with two boxer doggies and my girlfriend. As the temperature dropped, my jacket was seized by my girlfriend for the night. I'll let you know how warm it is when I get a chance to wear it after I plan a diversion and raid her closet. I especially like the zipper house at the top of the collar which houses the zipper when fully zipped. It takes the irritation out of having a metal zipper againt your neck. If only I could house every "pains in the neck" in my life as creatively as North Face does.
