| Hands down the most versatile jacket I own, definitely stands up to the tests I've given it and the price it carries. The 300 weight fleece is the heaviest of the fleece lines for North Face and the water wicking fleece fabric comes in handy when you get caught in a light drizzle. The reinforced nylon shoulders protect your jacket from carrying around a backpack or shoulder bag. The 2007 Denali line for women has improved so much since it's older counterparts. TNF lost the pit zips and cut the jacket slimmer. It keeps you very warm without holding in sweat and is the jacket to buy if you have to buy only one fleece. For those who want a less expensive but similar type jacket. The North Face Khumbu or Pumori would be the next obvious choice. |

| I was very dissapointed when I received my jacket and found that it does not have the underarm vents like the men's Denali jacket. Women don't sweat or what. The jacket also has one less front pocket than the men's. The North Face is charging the same amount for a much less technical jacket. I returned mine. The North Face has not answered emails regarding this issue either. |

| After getting this fleece in pink for Christmas a couple years ago, I decided to buy a black one. I ordered it in Medium, as my pink one is a Large, and it is pretty baggy. When the medium arrived (in 4 business days!!! so fast), it was wayyyyy too small. This is a great jacket, I just wish their sizing had a middle ground for those of us who are in between! (I'm 5'10" & wear a 8 or a 10) The sleeve length and chest diameter were my main complaints about the medium. The product itself is VERY high quality, and I could not be happier with your site as a retailer. Thank you! |

| I Was Very Dissatisfied With The Denali I Ordered. I Felt As If My Measurements Fell In Between The 2-4 Size Range, Therefore, I Ordered A Small. It Was TOO Small And Definitely Way Too Short. I Sent The Denali Back And Ordered The Windall, Which I Thought Was A More Classic Looking Jacket. If You Plan On Ordering The Denali And Are Small But Have A Slightly Longer Torso And Arms Then I Would Suggest Ordering A Size Up. |

| I'm fully acknowledging that this is a trendy jacket... it's cute, it's popular, everyone's daughter wants one. Okay, that being said, I was actually looking for a layering fleece for fall/winter hiking and climbing, and I have to say the Denali is pretty much just eh. I could see wearing this jacket to school or running errands, but for actual outdoor sports, it seems like the North Face has put more emphasis on fashion than on function. It's absolutely not windproof, not that warm and pretty bulky at that. I'm sticking with my Mountain Hardwear windstopper lightweight fleece and windstopper soft shell. Both together feel less bulky than the Denali. The North Face is also charging quite a bit for what is basically a fashion piece! |

| I have had the denali north face coats for years, I've always had black. This time I bought myself the ivory/tan one, and love it! It has been a chilly spring in Minnesota and I have gotten a lot of use out of it already. It is very stylish, and most important it is functional. I know I will have it a long time because I have some that are 12 years old now, and they never go out of style. |

| I think everyone just likes this jacket for it's trendy factor. It's not the least bit warm and the fit is nothing noteworthy. If you're looking for a good fleece for your $$, check out Patagonia! The R4 is the new Denali! I sold my Denali on ebay and replaced it with an additional R4. |

| I absolutely love this jacket but the size is not true to size. I thought I had perfectly matched up to my size by using the sizing chart but found my jacket was too small. I purchased a small but needed a medium. I am 120 lbs and 5'7" and am about a size 2-4. If this sounds like you and you are unsure about a size, definitely get a medium, especially if don't like your jackets tight fitting! The sizing chart is not the best tool to use on the website in determining a size. But I was very satisfied with the jacket...just have to go through now with exchanges! |

| The sizing has changed between this jacket (2007, no vent zippers) and the earlier ones that had the vent zippers along the upper arm, armpits, and upper body. These newer jackets are shorter and tighter. I own both jackets and the new ones are about 1 inch on each side shorter in the shoulder, about 2 inches shorter in jacket length, about 1 inch shorter in sleeve length and the body is smaller (tighter - didn't measure). Still a nice jacket but beware if you are used to the old sizing. |

| I only have one complaint with this jacket: it's not windproof or even wind resistant! Other than that, it's a super jacket for around town or hiking. I actually own a kid's XL, since it's cheaper than the women's and it fits (I'm an athletic 5'3"). Good jacket, wish there was are least wind resistance! |

| I love the color- white/alloy gray. I got my first Denali fleece a few years back and still wear it often, and it was the black one in a size medium. However, I think they have slightly changed the style/size because the medium I ordered was a lot smaller than the previous medium. Also, the pockets are more in the front on this one than the previous one. I still like it a lot though and exchanged it for a large and it fits fine. |

| This is a great jacket. I actually have it in the girls XL (I'm 5'8" and 140 pounds). I originally tried this on in a local sporting goods store in a women's M. I wasn't going to purchase it due to the fit (the body and arms were both too short). However, I decided to try it on in the girls size XL and the fit was MUCH better...sounds backwards, I know. Just an FYI for those who might be able to save a few dollars and order the girls instead of a womens. |

| I absolutely love this jacket. I wasn't sure how bulky it would be but it isn't bulky at all and it is super comfortable, warm, and looks great. I highly recommend this jacket. I got it in black (large -I'm 5'10 and usually wear a 10/12). I had another fleece jacket and it was like wearing a thin sheet compared to this jacket. I have worn it on cold days (28 degrees fahrenheit) and on warmer days (without zipping up) and it is perfect. It is more expensive than fleece jackets I have purchased in the past but it is worth every penny. I highly recommend. |

| LOVE my new Denali jacket! Great product, but then you really can't go wrong with North Face. I requested the 3 day UPS shipping for an additional fee of $9.68. When my jacket didn't arrive on day 3, I was informed by customer service that "3 day shipping" really means "3 nights"...and that means 4 days. Backcountry was good enought to credit my account for the extra shipping charges, but in the future I'll be taking advantage of the "free shipping" on orders over $50. Looking forward to wearing the jacket as the weather forecast includes a WINTER STORM WARNING with MULTIPLE inches of snow...ya gotta love that! |

| I bought this jacket in a medium on sale. They do run big. Probably should have gotten a large but they didn't have one in a color I would want. I'm 5"2" and 150 and usually have to buy a large or xlarge. I've always wanted a denali jacket but could never get past the price. It's great if you get cold easily although I wouldn't want to layer underneath a shell because it is kind of bulky. It's also quite short in the waist so tall girls may want to try one on before they order. I like the nylon around the shoulders. I haven't experienced any wear issues on the jacket from using a backpack in the winter while snowshoeing. You can heat up fast in it. I find myself stripping out of it on cold sunny days but if it's windy you'll probably keep it on. |

| My love has the men's version and was raving about it, so I gave it a go. I love it. It is not windproof, but I was plenty warm with two merino wool layers below at just below 10 degrees F, with winds at about 15 mph. I was bummed to discover that there were no vent zips, but it breaths well. I ordered my usual size, and it matched the sizing chart indicators, but it was a little big. I was hoping to use it as a mid layer, but it is working great as a soft shell. Very satisfied nonetheless! |

| Ok, so I was really excited about this jacket, based on all the wonderful reviews and the fact that people said it was tighter than it used to be. That and I chose the foam green color which looks great online. The jacket, which is more of a tinted white came to me and seemed rather loose. The sleeves were pretty baggy and I felt as though there was a lot more room in it than I would need even if layering. (I'm 5'2", 100lbs and ordered an XS). The material seems great and it does feel cozy so now I am debating keeping it since I got such a great deal from Backcountry.com and using it as a spare, or returning it and getting a children's size in one of the darker greens.... I will have to try it with some layers underneath. Even if it is loose and there's wind I can cinch the waist with the drawstring. I'm beginning to lose faith in TNF products however, and am starting to gear towards Mountain Hardwear since their products seem to fit small frames much better. Perhaps I'm just too small to enjoy TNF which is kind of a bummer. |

This jacket is cut for women and provides protection from cold while displaying a great deal of style - the usual bulk of winter attire is gone and that increases the fun of wearing it. It looks great with jeans or skirts, sneakers or boots. Definitely worth the price. |

| I am very please with my recent purchase of a black and white women's denali jacket. It is perfect for anything below 70 degrees. I just throw on a hooded sweatshirt for really cold days and im good to go. One of the strings on my zipper did come undone but it was fairly easy to repair. The price of this item is a little steep but if you live in an area where it can get quite cold, I think its worth the investment. For those of you who can fit into the larger kids sizes, I recommend going that route since they tend to be significantly cheaper. Hope this helps... ;-) |

| I've been wanting one of these but never got around to getting one (price didn't help). Finally got one recently and it was worth the wait. The alba green one I got was actually much nicer color than I expected (not a big green fan, but liking this one). I'm about 5'4" and 130 lbs, and the size small fits nicely. It's actually quite loose all around. The only place that seems tighter is in the hips, but it's still loose enough. The jacket quality itself has been reviewed to death here, so I'll just say "I agree". |

| I wore this on Mackinac Island (MI) about two weeks ago. There was some crazy weather going on....raining sideways, insane winds, waves were 10 feet, you get the picture. I stayed dry and cozy the entire time! The jacket is worth its weight in gold! |

| I got the Alba green; it's a great color (earthy). Originally I ordered a medium, turns out it was way too big in the shoulders. I sent it back.
I'm probably 35-36" in chest and 5' 4"... about 120 pounds. So.. the small fits quite a bit more comfortably, not too small at all; it's a cute and warm jacket.

| I have been enjoying my Denali fleece this fall. It is perfect for weather from the 40's on up. I think the recycled fleece is warmer than the non-recycled fleece of the older models. It doesn't seem like I feel the wind as much. I love how it can zip into my shells; it also repels water on its own very well. The pockets are great with the soft lining, the collar is very warm, and the cut is very good for wearing other layers underneath. I definitely found a great deal at Backcountry. |

| This is my 3rd Denali jacket and I love it! I bought the 1st one in 2002, and it is still in great condition, as is the 2nd one I bought in 2003. This time I bought the brown color and I love it. Size Small and the fit is perfect (I'm 5'4", 112 lbs). The jacket is very warm - I live in central IL and can wear it throughout the entire winter. I ordered: XS Black, (discontinued- not the new recycled ones)
Some things to note:
1. These are not good at blocking wind. but otherwise warm!
2. Very wide around the torso (too wide for me, but tighten them at the bottom)
3. Average length sleeves. I am tall and skinny, and they're a bit short for my arms
4. They have drawstrings at the bottom- very useful!
5. They collect lint and fur like crazy. If you get black or white, then it can be annoying |

Based on other reviews of this color I was a little skeptical but figured I could always return it if I didn't like it. I LOVE IT. It is a beautiful soft shade of green that looks great with jeans, beige pants and dark colored sweats. I ordered the medium (I'm 5'4" and weigh 135 lbs) and can fit a sweater under it (I live in New England). I can't say enough about backcountry.com. | So this was my first North Face Fleece- I've had other stuff by them and I figured it was time for a nice warm fleece.
This jacket is awesome- warm, heavy weight, exactly what I was looking for. It isn't a layering jacket, if that's what you're looking for- it's a bit too bulky for that, unless you zip it into a north face outer shell, but it is perfect for autumn days and even winter I'm sure if you wear something warm under it.
Others have said this jacket isn't at all windproof- I would have to revise and say it is "breeze-proof," but nothing more than that. I've worn it on a 45 degree, slightly breezy day with just a long sleeve shirt underneath and been perfectly fine.
As far as sizing goes, I'm 5'5.5" and I ordered the large. I'm glad I did. Although part of the jacket is nice and loose (this is not a tight, form fitting jacket), the very bottom of the jacket has a non-stretchy hem that I think is basically the limiting factor as far as sizing goes. If I had ordered a medium, the rest of the jacket would have fit tighter but the hem itself would have been too small. You can always cinch it smaller, too, with the drawstrings that are included on it.
Overall, I love this fleece. Nice, soft, warm enough for cool fall weather, and adorable as well. I want to buy another one in a different color! |

| I'm not in the habit of spending more than 50 bucks on anything besides outerwear and boots, but I'm glad that I broke my rule for the Denali. It's a great insulating layer, and while it isn't made of duck feathers, it wicks away a light drizzle (or a beverage spill) quite well.Since I'm almost six feet tall, I ordered a Men's Small and a Women's Large to see what would fit me best. The sleeves on the Men's jacket were a slight improvement on the women's, but I ultimately chose the women's Denali because it's less bulky. The length of the jacket itself was sufficient. Nonetheless, I'll issue the following warning: tall girls, you may want to try on a Men's Denali before ordering.Pit zips would be nice, but since I got this fleece on sale and I'm wearing it 4-5 times a week, you'll hear no complaints from me. |

| I didn't see many posts with sizing info for taller girls - I'm 5'8", 112 pounds and tried on the Denali in Girls' Large and Extra Large and Women's Extra Small and Small before purchasing mine. All fit (definitely not much layering room in the Girls' Large and the Women's Extra Small), but the jacket and sleeves were too short in all but the Women's Small. I like my clothes to be form-fitting and the Women's Small is fitted (especially with the draw-strings on the sides), but still has a little room for sweaters or hooded sweatshirts underneath. I ended up purchasing a Women's Small and am so happy with it!! It's warm and cute, especially in the more unique colors. Also loved my experience with Back Country - you won't find better prices anywhere!! |

| I haven't worn this around a whole lot yet--it's the middle of summer. A lot of people mentioned the jacket is boxy, but I like that-- I ordered a small (I'm 5"4, 120 pounds) and found it too fitted-- no room for a thicker layer than a t-shirt underneath. I sent it back for a medium (and got an even cheaper price!). Backcountry has great customer service. And I'm waiting until the fall to give this jacket some serious wear and tear. |

| I finally broke down and purchased the North Face Denali thinking it was going to be the best jacket ever. Not so. I ordered a size small, I am 5' 6" and 125lbs and I usually wear a size xs to s. This jacket felt very constricting to me, not long enough and the sleeves felt too short. I was actually very uncomfortable wearing this. Returned it for the North Face Khumbu in a size small and I love it. Sleeves felt long enough, and overall jacket fit better. It says it is not as warm as the North Face Denali, but it feels pretty darn warm to me. If not, just throw a hoodie on underneath. I recommend the North Face Khumbu over the Denali for style, fit and price - always helps. |

It's a bit roomy but I wanted her to have room to grow or layer underneath. It's really popular name within her school community. Sort of a status thing. However, the fleece was much thicker than the Columbia fleece I had for 20 bucks. So, I justified it.
Unfortunately, I didn't get it from this site.

| First off, I do like the look of this jacket. It not fitted and has a poofy look to it. The pockets are just right and I like having the cinch cord at the bottom. The fit isn't extremely flattering, being a little bulky like others have mentioned. However, this is helpful when it comes to layering because I didn't find it to be particularly warm (I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but I do get cold easily). I can wear a hoodie and a sweater if I wanted to and still have room to spare.
Sizing-wise, I went with the Small, which is a perfect length for my arms. It hits me a few inches below the hips (I'm about 5'4" and 120). X-Small would have fit as well, but probably would not have fit my arms as well. I like to be able to bend my arms and not have the sleeves inch up.
It is very light, but it's not very compact. Also it is like a magnet for pet hair so if you have pets, have a lint roller handy. It's not as windproof as I like, having to wear a layer to keep the chill out, but once you get warm you stay warm. As for being waterproof, that it isn't. It will get wet. It might be able to withstand a light shower or misting, but don't expect to come out dry in a downpour.
Overall the jacket is little more than mediocre in it's functionality. I guess The North Face just isn't what it used to be. Other brands that I'd look into are Patagonia or Mountain Hardware. |

| To repeat what has been said 100 times: it's boxy. I am 5'7" and 125 lbs, and a S fits well in every way except that the sleeves are a bit short. Not good while bike-riding (sleeve ride-up). It's definitely not cut for slim figures -- to get it to fit my torso I have to deal with short sleeves.
Also, I don't know why it's called wind-resistant -- not at ALL! I am tempted to return it and get a WindWall or something by Patagonia or Marmot (better fits) because, literally, the wind goes right through my Denali while biking or being in the wind. I wonder if it's the recycled fleece? I hope not.
So, the Denali is certainly cute and warm but not suitable for wind or those with slim/narrow figures or long arms. |

| I have wanted a black one of these jackets for about 3 years and when I found Back Country I saved a lot. Shipping was quick and I was very pleased with my purchase. Many have different opinions on North Faces but I guess it all depends on the climate where you live. My old North Face had zippers under the armpits (Im not sure why) and my new one doesnt so Its very warm! Also, very stylish and cute.
The only thing thats bad about them is that they attract hair like crazy but that doesnt really bother me. If you have light color pets I suggest not getting a dark color. My hair is the only hair on my jacket so its not a big deal to me.

| Everyone in our family owns one of these jackets (3 men and 2 women) accept for me, so I decided to order a jacket for myself based on the women's sizes we already own....small and medium. Well, the jacket I received in the mail is completely different from the women's jackets we have at home. The have changed the styling, the fit and, in my opinion, the quality. They have eliminated the underarm vent zippers, which I was very disappointed about. They have also narrowed the fit, so that the new small fit is nothing like the old small fit. I am disappointed in this company. They are popular, and I used to think for a good reason, but now I am not so sure. They are now giving less of a jacket for the same outrageous price! |

| Ok, gals. I would say that if you want to wear layers underneath, size up one size. I'm 5'1", 120 lbs, and tried both the Small and Medium - the Small is figure-flattering but can't wear much underneath....so, I opted for the Medium. Love the jacket - nice quality and warm. Enjoy! |

| I needed a solid fleece for outdoor work, hiking, and everyday use. This is the perfect fit. It's held up through washes and farm work (you can't even tell i've gotten stuck in briars while wearing it), and still looks great. No, it's not windproof but i live in a very windy and mountainous area and if I wear a lighter hoodie under it I stay plenty warm on days when the wind is brutal. |

| I had a black Denali in high school and college and wore it until it literally started to fall apart. It was wonderful quality and withstood constant washing and wear for years. However, now that I'm a bit older and the Denali had become so popular, I wanted something more streamlined and not quite so common, so I traded up from my second Denali for Patagonia Retro-X which is warmer, cuter, better fitting (think tall & lean) but admittedly not as comfy! North Face just tends to be boxy and I always have to get a large because of my height even though a medium in width is more suitable. |

| I've bought 3 denali XS women jackets so far - all in different months. I was lucky that for 2 of them the sale price was $119 (great holiday price). The third jacket was for a co-worker's daughter. Downside, it was a couple of weeks after Christmas and so the price was $131, but still less than what you find in the stores. All three of these young ladies (15, 16, 22) love their jackets. My only negative comment? Black is terrible when you have a pet in the house. My daughters always have to use a lint brush to remove dog/cat hairs from their jackets - they don't seem to mind doing it though. |

| Like all things trendy, you pay the price. I got my Denali on sale, and am more than pleased with my purchase. I usually wear it around town and I find it plenty warm in 20 degree weather. I wore this snowboarding under my Triclimate jacket this weekend, and it fit nicely. I usually wear a Med. in most things, but the Small Denali fit me the best. The only thing I wish: that they make it a little longer. It seems a little on the short side, and I am only 5'6". |

| This jacket is fantastic for all types of weather and the look is so classic with a good pair of jeans. It's too warm for me to run in, but is roomy enough for extra layers for those chilly mornings on my way to class. At 5'5", 115 lbs, I originally purchased a size small, and was a little disappointed with the wide, not-so-form-fitting style. Oddly enough, that jacket was stolen, and I immediately bought a replacement, this time in an x-small. It still tends to run a little boxy, and the sleeves are almost too short, but I still could never live without this jacket. I have black and so far it has worn well with frequent use and washing over the past year. And backcountry is the best place to get yours! |

| I already own the North Face Pumori which is a midweight liner that is made with Polartec 200 fleece. It zips into my North Face Mountain Light Parka.
I needed something heavier for those really cold, windy days in New York. The Denali has Polartec 300 weight fleece, which is fairly warm. I bought both the fleece jackets in a size small. I was somewhat disappointed to discover that the Denali is cut shorter in both the body and the sleeves. The Pumori fits me better because of the length. However, I kept the Denali in size small because it fit me other than the length being too short. I think going a size up would add too much bulk and little length. So far, the Denali has kept me toasty during the winter in New York. |

| It's a great jacket--wildly popular, even with those people who will never use it in the back country. My only complaint?
Why doesn't the women's version have pit zip ventilation? Does North Face think that women don't perspire? I was using my jacket while snowshoeing this week, and, really could have used a little ventilation along the way. Other than that, it's warm, it's good looking, and, if it's like my other NF products, it's gonna last forever! |

| I have purchased several of these jackets for my granddaughters and they have loved them. They certainly are tough. They have survived washing after washing and still look great. This year I decided to treat myself to one. I love it. Just as they said, it is the warmest jacket that I have ever worn. We have just had a very cold day for Alabama, 25 degrees with a windchill factor of 15, so I donned my jacket to go out and fill up my birdfeeders. I was warm in spite of the brisk wind. This really surprised me because I have had several fleece pieces before that served me well on fairly cold days but were useless on windy days without an overjacket. I'm looking forward to some hiking and I know that I have a nice jacket to keep me warm. |

| I purchased my first Denali about 2 years ago when I was in need of a warmer heavier weight fleece but have been sadly disappointed in the Denali. Now after what i'd consider an average number of washings and use it has worn out considerably and looks worse than some other fleeces twice it's age. I've found that TNF products have declined in quality in recent years as they have become more trendy and are no longer a top tier outdoor gear line in my opinion. I say this in part because right after I purchased my first Denali I bought a much older one at a garage sale and the older one is much better constructed and has held up a lot better than the newer one. If you are looking for a warm fuzzy fleece I'd definitely go with the Mountain Hardware Monkey fleece, if you're looking for something a little more hardcore I'd recommend the Mountain Hardware Men's Windstopper Tech Jacket. |

| This is my 2nd Denali jacket and I absolutely love it. It's a little pricey, but it's a staple piece that will be in your collection for many years to come. Even when you are bumming it, you can throw this on and look stylish and keep toasty warm. Makes for a great layering piece for under your winter jacket for those really freezing days. My only gripe is that it's not windproof so you MUST wear a windproof layer over or under it to really keep warm in the elements. Other than that, it's perfect for what it's designed for. Wash it just like the directions say and it will stay looking great for a long time. |

It's warmer and more wind-proof that most other fleeces I've found, and I've worn it both on its own as a cool-weather jacket and under a shell in the winter. I love the vibrant color it makes me feel energetic when I wear it. | This is a great jacket. It's incredibly warm and even keeps you warm in cold winds. The only thing I don't like about the Denali is the fact that the elastic is so tight at the wrists. This must be true of all North Face fleece jackets, as my girlfriend got the Pumori and she has the same problem. We both have small wrists as it is so I'd feel sorry for someone who doesn't. But overall, we love both jackets and would purchase them again. |

I guess I should have taken into consideration that would be a factor, but to me the large shoulders seem a bit extreme. It would be nice to have a leaner fit to layer more easily. |

| My brother always wore a North Face fleece, and I finally bought one for myself! I compared the Denali to the fleece I was using, and it is vastly superior! It keeps me much warmer, and is really well designed. Glad I broke down and bought one!! I love it! |

| Very warm, comfy and matches with everything. Good for layers if you don't like wearing a puffy jacket. I tried buying other fleeces but it's not the same. I finally gave in and bought this one. Good investment. |

| I wore this on campus at KU and it did nothing to stop the wind. too bulky to wear with a shell. Do not buy this if you want to stay warm outside. It's good maybe 2 days a year - Kansas is windy. I was happier with a columbia titanium jacket that completely blocks wind. Maybe I'm not understanding how to use this jacket. I guess it would be good for sitting in an air conditioned room.
also the pink is pepto pink... if you think you will like this jacket 4 years after you buy it, trust me you won't. i don't even know where the damn thing is and i assure you i'm not looking too hard. |

| i got my denali from this site 2 weeks ago. although i used it only once since it's starting to warm up here in NYC, i have to say i'm liking it. wind can certainly pass through but then this is not really a windstopper... denali is more for cold weather minus the wind, and boy it's a warm jacket. and it's lightweight and soft. i got mine in foam green, the color is lovely... and i got it a great deal. |

| Even though the cold weather is not upon us here in New England, I am expecting to fully enjoy my The North Face this fall and winter. I bought my boyfriend the men's Denali for Christmas last year and he wore it in place of a winter jacket all season long. This included many weekends snowshoeing in the mountains of Vermont. Bottom line- quality product. |
