| Love These Pants 03-02-05 |
Drvr408@msn.com

| These are wonderful! With 9 pockets to play in. One is zippered, 5 are velcro and 3 are open. The main pockets are clear to the bottom of the shorts which are a bit too deep for me, but nothing falls out! Love the gusseted crotch! Lots of freedom of movement. I've noticed I get slight pilling, but so far it hasn't been a problem. I now have three pair. So glad I discovered them, in Lake Louise, Canada yet. |

| I love these pants! Light enough that you don't even feel them yet very tough and completely wind resistant. The zip off pants work great. Just got back from two days in Linville George Wilderness with temp. swings from a cold windy frost at 34 degrees to hot sun at 71 degrees and the pants served me well from cold to hot! I am tall and the longs were a perfect fit. Even the shorts are long enough that there not Daisy Dukes. Thanks again. |

| These pants are great. I just took them on a two week sight-seeing trip to Italy with only one other pair of pants, they were perfect.
I definitely found myself wearing these more than the other pair I brought along. They are a great weight and the pockets are convenient for traveling. I had my passport, wallet, phone, maps, tickets, everything stuffed into these pants and I never felt uncomfortable during long days walking everywhere.
Also, I am quite tall and slender, the Paramounts are cut slim and were long enough (sized Long) for my 6'5" frame.
I love these pants. |

| Just returned from a 5 day canoe trip in the BWCA. Bought two of these pants and they became the only thing I wore Zipper on bottom of legs allows easy slip off when converting to shorts. Long pants keep you warm on cool mornings yet do not feel like they heat up as the afternoon warms us, so you can keep on the long pants to knock the sun off sunburned knees. When I went up to my thigh in water, these pants dried out fast. From soaking to dry, less than 20 min in 70 degree weather. The material is impressive and quality excellent. |

| In addition to what's been said above, let me add this: I bought one pair of these pants in late 2003. I haven't needed another pair of adventure pants since. This one pair has been all over the world, from barren steppes to tropical jungles, from deep in the outback to high in Rocky Mountain peaks. Hot, cold, bone dry and perpetually wet, these pants have been beaten, dragged, poked, bushwhacked and worn straight for more than 21 days. They still look new. Get em'. Use em'. See the world. |

| These pants are always expensive, so I don't have many pairs, but they are worth the money due to the feel/look/durability when in use. They, at least mine, continue to last... only issue with this pair is the long designation is definitely long. I usually get L or 34 L or 35 length... but this is the 1st 34L that has been longer than I am used to... but still love. |

| We all know what The North Face stands for, and these pants epitomize it. I recently went on a backpacking trip throughout Europe and these pants never came close to letting me down. Even with the pockets stuffed full, they're still breathable and very comfortable. I wouldn't want to travel without them. Plus, unlike some pants, these still look and feel great converted into shorts. |

| These pants are amazing for hiking. They are lightweight and very comfortable and durable. I've used them canyoneering and they have held up fine. Quik dry is a must for canyoneering. Also, the shorts are a good length. The built in belt makes for a perfect fit in the waist. Would definitely recommend these. |

| These pants were very comfortable, where similar pants from other manufacturers hadn't fit me so well. But then 4 out of the 5 pairs that I ordered had a seam that started to fail. Same spot on all 4 pairs of pants.
Additionally, the pockets are very odd on these pants (though I was willing to overlook it).
Luckily, this site allowed me to return these pants. Because of this experience, I'll probably never buy another The North Face product . . . but I'll definitely shop at this site again.

| I am 6'4" and the Long fit great. I like having the option to convert to shorts during a hike, but I normally don't. The shorts are a little shorter than my style, but aren't too short for the trail. Great fabric and they pack light. I have two pairs and really enjoy them. |

| I got these pants to hike in the wet NW weather. Good pants that repel water and mud as well as tough against grabbing Oregon grape! I bought the "long" size and should have bought just the regular size - just a bit too long. I still bought another pair a couple weeks later though!!! |

| The Paramount Convertible Pant is good for everyday wear. North Face is one of the only companies that carry a selection of dark colors for convertible pants in long sizes. Dark colors don’t show the dirt that you are exposed to on extended hikes. I was hoping for a good sturdy pant for the Pacific Trail but I found that these pants will not hold for the long haul. I wore them on one weekend trip and the threads in the seat were worn. A reinforced seat would make the Paramount Convertible pant the perfect hiking pant.
I don’t recommend these pants for an extended expedition.

| Great pants, durable and dry quickly. I had to search a bit for the long version though. The regular length was a little too short. With the legs zipped off the shorts only came down to mid thigh, it looked like an ABA game was going down |

| I really like these pants enough that I bought a second pair. Wish they had real belt loops. The front cargo pockets ride above the deep regular pockets and I'd rather have them on the side. Finally, these pants run a bit long (luckily mine shrank to fit with the first washing.) All that said, I'm an outdoor photographer and have worn these all over the world in all temp ranges. They are exceedingly comfortable, dry quickly and are the toughest nylon pants I've used. So, not perfect but I've tried a lot of multipurpose pants and haven't found any better. |

| I've had quite a few pair, and these are the best. Great fit, true sizing, good length (think hiking shorts), very smart pocket layout. This is the best of TNF's lineup and the best of the entire category. |

| These pants are great! They are lightweight and feel a little loose, perfect for scrambling around on and off the trail. With all the pockets, I love them for work pants so I can keep small tools and my flashlight on me at all times. The fabric seems to be very resistant to wind and dry very fast. Since I started wearing Paramount convertible pants, I hardly ever wear blue jeans any more! |

| I owned these pants for about a year. They were pretty comfortable, but they just fell apart over the last few months. First the knee started to wear through. Then the thread that held the back pockets failed. The holes were so large that my wallet fell out while going down the stairs. I had to start carrying my wallet in the cargo pockets. I guess that's why they have so many pockets! :) Next the zipper broke. All this after just a year! I always thought The North Face was expedition quality clothing. I guess I was wrong. I finally sent them in for warranty repairs and I received a cryptic letter saying something about them not being covered because of wear. Needless to say I was very disappointed and will not be purchasing any products made by The North Face from here out. |

| Excellent pants. Easy to pack and keep neat and clean. I used them for a motorcycle trip where space is limited and gear must be versatile. They were great in the mountains, on the beach, lounging in my hotel, and at fancy restaurants. What more could you want? Oh, I started with the long length and had to return them, the regular length is just right. I am 6' tall. |

| I always have these in my pack for chillin' in camp, but they don't work well for me on the trail. The legs are too tight causing my calves to rub on the material and limiting the stride I can take. Still love em for chilling, just prefer a baggier fit for a long day on trail. |

| I love these pants. The Meridians were a little too thin for cooler days. The Paramount pants are just right. Shorts seemed a little short. The zipper at the bottom is great for taking the pant legs off without taking your boots off. Wish it had more belt loops and not the little built in belt it has. Other than that they are great. |

| Although these are men's hiking pants/shorts, the small/regular are a perfect and flattering fit for my 5'4 & 125lb female frame. The first pair I purchased 5 years ago are still in excellent condition. Preparing for our upcoming hike to Glacier NP, I was excited about finding the same item and glad that North Face has not changed one thing about these perfect convertible pants. |

| As is with almost all of North Face's merchandise, this pants are great. Very comfortable for long walks and extremely versatile while boulder climbing. The conversion process is done in a flinch so you can do it even if you midway up the mountain. |

| The fabric is thick enough to be well used outdoors and i find them very comfortable. I bought both colors I liked it so much.
I have long legs and the regular length is a bit long. so I can't imagine who needs a long. |

| These pants are great. The nylon is heavy enough to block the wind and keeps me as warm as jeans. Dirt and mud brushes off easily after dried. I've hiked in the rain with these. Afterwards they are dry in a couple of hours. I like the zip off part with Left & Right labels. It saves time trying to figure out what goes where. The men's small fits me like my usual women's size 8-10. With the pockets on the front of the leg, the pants are more flattering than most. However, that makes the pockets almost useless. |

| Awesome pair of backpacking pants. I used them for 10 days straight in Southern Utah backpacking and they couldn't have been better. The pockets can hold everything you need, energy bars, camera, knife, etc.. and when the weather gets warm you can turn them into shorts in no time. Because they have zippers at the feet you don't need to take off your shoes either. Only problem is that the water repellent wore off in just a few days | | |
