| Smartwool and another company called Icebreaker have gotten me hooked on merino wool clothing. I'm so enamored with SmartWool's socks and shirts that I own several of the same shirts in different colors (and I have about 10 pairs of their socks).
These shirts are soft and cozy, not itchy, have a flattering cut and keep me warm, but if I do start to overheat, they don't produce that clammy feeling some of the synthetic fabrics do.
On cool fall days, I'll wear just one shirt, and on colder days I'll layer a lightweight shirt (size medium) under the midweight shirt (size large).
One thing to keep in mind when ordering is that they run small (and at the time of this writing, Backcountry has the sizing chart for the Men's shirts linked to this page, not the Women's so the sizing chart is inaccurate).
I have about a 36' - 37' chest and the medium is almost too small, but I guess these are base layers so they are meant to be form fitting. I bought a couple of the lightweight shirts in a size medium and a couple of the midweight shirts in size large so I could layer them w/o everything being too tight. |

| I love my SmartWool! It has been very cold up here in Michigan this winter, and I rarely go out without having it on. In addition to that .... I am an OR nurse, and our surgery rooms can be very cold. I started wearing my SmartWool under my scrubs, and stay comfortable all day. It is light weight and warm, what more could you ask? I have recommended it to all my co-workers. |

| I'm so happy to have found Smartwool's baselayers this winter. I've been a fan of their socks for a while now. The midweight shirts are perfect layered under a fleece and a shell for most of my outdoor activities. They're soft, warm and flattering with a feminine fit. You might want to size up, though - they seem to run a little on the small side. I'm usually a medium, but always buy large in this brand. |

| I bought the large midweight top and bottoms. I'm a 10 bottoms and 12 top. They fit snug, but not tight. It snowed last night, was chilly inside, and I could feel the warmth as soon as I put them on. Very soft, the sleeves are long enough for me, which is sometimes a problem. Then length is perfect on the pants, I'm 5'9".. I'm going to buy more.
Delivery was very fast. Will do business here again. |

| Nice product. Would recommend! Not itchy, very warm, but do not sweat. Haven't had a chance to wear on a bike outing, but looking forward to it! I might have liked the shirt a size larger, too. |

| I loved the SmartWool lightweight crew top I bought here (which I wear in size S) so I ordered the midweight for the upcoming winter. For some reason the sizing is completely different - the S in lightweight is a little baggy on me, but nothing too serious (I'm 5'4", 115 lbs, normally wear a size S or size 4). However the size S in midweight was way too small - skintight and uncomfortable. Also the white natural heather color I'd ordered was completely see-through, so I exchanged it for a size M in black, which is great and fits the way the size S in lightweight does. Overall I love SmartWool clothes, they're warm, comfy, not itchy and fabulous at wicking. |

| For some reason the weight is mismarked on the website (it says silkweight); correct weight is midweight. Super soft, love this top. I buy regular shirts in a small and order Smartwool in smalls because I prefer my layers fitted. Only downside of this long-sleeve T is that the length is not as long as Icebreaker T's (more of a high-mid hip vs. low hip on Icebreaker). But, Smartwool softness is slightly superior to Icebreaker so I'm going to keep this and wear it with a longer tank underneath to compensate. |

| Smartwool is soft and warm as always. I usually wear M, but got this one in L, so that it could be a layer over another smartwool. It works great and actually looks very nice and flattering. |

| this bottle is very cute and good at keeping the taste and smell of the liquid away after a simple wash. The problem I had was that it leaked a bit when I put wine in it. I guess there was too much pressure inside the bottle. But the leak was very minimal and I didn't have this issue with water :) |

| Bought this for my wife at Christmas. Now she wants a new color every month. You should see her Smart Wool sock collection! She wears the top on easy hikes, around the house, and at work. |

| Bought this in Natural heather in size small(I am 5'6" weigh 120lbs and usually wear a 2/4 size in clothes) and love the fit and that the neck is a little higher than other tops I have. We just spent a week skiing and I didn't want to take this off!! Fortunately, after my initial purchase of 1, I came back and bought 2 more so I had plenty to wear!! Not itchy, perfect temperature without sweating, NO SMELL - you have to love that!! |

| I definitely recommend this product. I'm a big fan of merino wool - smart wool and icebreaker are my favorite brands. Much warmer and DO NOT STINK compared to synthetic materials! I really love this shirt as it is soft and does not itch at all. Fits well. I bought the bottoms to go with it. I think in general smartwool is a little less itchy than icebreaker but both are great! |
