| I'm 5'11" and a size 8-10(M) and the sleeves and body were not long enough. I ordered a Mens small and it fits right. Love these lightweight wool items. |

| Hi, I have worked for LLBean up in Maine and have 15 Smartwool Medium Weight Zip T's and Crew Necks. I love them, super soft, stretchy, non-binding, long enough, nice colors, can wear them for weeks without smelling, don't retain odors like capilene, machine washable and dryable, and really adaptable in different temps! Only drawbacks are slight pilling, cuffs stretch out if sleeves pushed high- But push them back up and they stay in place on the upeer arm and don't slide down.
BUT... these are the ones made in 2005 and before! On the inside left side seam of the shirt, there is a white tag and on it, it says year made in lower right corner, for example FA05.
New ones, FA06 and up, are scratchier, much tighter, less stretchy, shorter in the sleeves and torso. I returned them and wrote to Smartwool! |

| And everyone has one at my place of work. We all got to go skiing on Friday, and every single woman showed up in a SmartWool top. I always get itchy in wool, and these things are really comfortable. The only thing I have noticed is that it says it can go in the dryer on low, but when I did that, my shirt got small holes in it after a couple of times. This time I am hang drying my shirt and it seems to be holding up better. If you are looking for a comfortable base layer, this is it. |

| I'm ALWAYS cold and this year set out to get technical clothing for warmth rather than my usual bulk. This is a great base layer that keeps me warm as the only base layer under a North Face HyVent jacket, so far keeping me toasty down to around 35 degrees. Anything below that, I add a Mountain Hardware fleece pull-over, and I'm good-to-go. It truly does wick the moisture and lock in the warmth. It washes well, although gets slightly fuzzy as all wool does. I have a longer torso and arms and it seemed to shrink slightly but it still fits OK. The torso did not become a half-shirt, so I was happy about that. There's still a couple inches to tuck tightly into my snowboarding pants. |

| We love it!!! Started with the socks and keep adding to our collection.
My husband bought me the midweight top and leggings a couple of years ago and they are the warmest, moisture wicking underwear I've ever owned. It's on our Christmas list again this year. He currently owns the crew midweight and wears it daily after his day job to haul wood for the stove and keep warm in the cold evenings. I agree with the pilling problem, but it's usually our underlayer anyway.
Family christmas tradition is to ice skate on the 26th...every family member gets a new pair of socks even the grandchildren and they love it!! Able to pass them down to their siblings as they outgrow them. Daugters, daughter-in-laws, myself and my husband especially enjoy the dressy socks for everyday wear to work.
Anxious to see what's under the tree this year!! |

| I bought this zip t-shirt along with the midweight bottoms to use as sleeping gear during a recent backpacking trip in the Big Horn mountains of Wyoming. In elevations above 9,000 feet, temperatures below freezing at night, I stayed toasty warm. Definitely recommend these as a layering piece; I plan to use them this winter for snowshoeing/skiing activities. The fit seemed true-to-size, neither too small, nor too large. Very soft and comfortable as a base layer; not at all like traditional wool. |

| Can you tell I love this top? This is a fantastic snowsports midlayer that also works well on its own. I usually wear this on top of the midweight crewneck and it's enough to keep me toasty and dry under my triclimate ski jacket, even on the coldest, windiest days at Vail and Breck. The princess seams are slimming and accent the female form, and this top is stylish enough to wear in town. It really wicks away moisture, and truly does not ever stink, even after a week of skiing in it every day. My only beef is with the pilling. It pills terribly after several washes. Don't be overzealous with the shaver. I've destroyed 2 smartwools because I unwittingly shaved them too thin and holes appeared after the next wash. I own 6 of these tops and will never wear anything else for cold weather sports. |

| I took this midweight set (bottoms sold seperately) with me to snow camp and found them to be almost perfect for the occassion. The off white color was great for me as I am not a fan of blacks and the fit was just to the charts. The only difference I would have made, hence the four stars, is the length. It was decent but I found myself tucking in the top way too often to keep my lower back warm. On the other hand, I wore it for 3 days straight with minimal smell by the end of it...backpacking. A great piece for the price. |

| I heart this top. It's been with me to the top of Mt. Whitney and Half Dome. It's warm and cozy and never gets stinky. I'm 5'4" 110 and the small fit me perfect. I recommend air drying it but machine washing is fine. Smart Wool is awesome and worth every penny. Way better than capilene. |

| I have several already, so knew this style was a staple; not itchy, warm, breathable, long enough arms (key) and though a bit short for a really tall chick, I can live with that. And on sale, worth an extra star right there!
The actual reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars, though is becuase the heather white color is a bit see-through. Just enough so I feel self-conscious. However, there are so many situations where I'm wearing my smartwool under one to (yes) four other layers, that I just choose it when I'm not baring all. |

| If you are on the taller side, the Ibex Zepher Sport Top is a bit longer. Or, you may take the SmartWool in a mens size (like I did). All of these are high performers in terms of quality, fit, comfort, wear, odor-resistance, washability. The label says that one can put them in the dryer but I have not dared that yet. |

| My daughter wears 2 of these layered (S+M) when cooler with nothing else under the ski jacket. In wormer days 1 might be enough. Very soft (she won't tolerate anything scratchy) and excellent fit. I got myself a mens S, to make sure it is long enough (I am 5-10, she's 5-8 still). |

| I recently went cave diving. Water temps were around 66-68 and our average dive time was around 80 minutes. Not being a dry-suit diver, I was "very" cold after the dives. I would immediately stripped off the wetsuit and get into my smartwool top. Within a few minutes, my body heat came back online. This gave me the idea to wear my smartwool socks with my booties (in the water). That was a definitely improvement in keeping my feet warm while diving. Smartwool is definitely a leader in "wearable" wool clothing, both in material and functionality. |

| I decided to try a different brand after getting my icebreaker lightweight and found it a little scratchy on the skin... I definitely prefer Smartwool now!
This midweight is sooooo soft and warm! it is also very stylish and fitting. Definitely worth the price. |

| I bought my first Smartwool midweight during the winter of 2007/2008 and it became my go to shirt for downhill and cross country skiing(next to skin layer). I also love it for cold morning hikes in the mountains and winter runs. This winter is approaching so I added two more to my stash. The shirt is warm, form fitting, and attractive. They're not cheap but totally worth the splurge! It gets cold in Utah during the winter and my Smartwool definitely keeps me warm! |

I use it as a base layer when cycling in cold temps, and also just around the house when I want to feel supremely comfortable. | I love smart wool. The zip t is my favorite... but only in the medium weight. The light weight stretched out more and I don't care as much for the fit. I wear my tops running, biking and for every day use. I even purchased one for my daughter. She too loves the fit and keeps asking for more. She is an avid outdoorswoman in Alaska and wears it hiking, skiing, running and biking. Bottom line: you can't own too many of Smart wool midweight shirts. |

| I've been wearing Smart Wool (mid-weight zip up and always, socks) for over a year while running in cool/damp weather -- I don't get too hot. It is very soft and not scratchy. It wicks well so that I feel dry (and I sweat a lot) and I don't get chilled even when I am through with the workout. I gave it for Xmas gifts this year and everyone loves it! The perfect layer piece regardless of what you're up to. |

| I like this top very much, the wool is not scratchy and it is actually pretty dressy if you want to just wear it a" la civilian". I have not tried mine to exercise yet, so can't say how it holds up with the moisture wicking and odor control. I wear an extra small and the fit is great, not too tight, and not too short, yet it follow your curves. I would definitely buy another one. |
