| great goggles, don't wipe when wet 12-18-05 |
Anonymous:
|
| I love the goggles, but when Smith says not to wipe the lens when it's wet, they mean it. I have a couple scratches on it now just because I was trying to dry it off. |

| I love the Prodigys. They have a larger fit than the Fuse and the lens choices are even better than last year. They fit my Giro helmet no problem, and I will admit that the hop-up kits are kind of cool.
I like the platinum mirror lens for the brightest days and the sensor mirror for storm skiing or really flat light. |

| Had these goggles for a couple seasons now and am really happy with them. Fit really well and the smith lenses are super clear not to mention never fog up with the adjustable vent even when hiking. i use these goggles with the smith variant brim helmet and together keep my head dry and comfortable. only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that changing lenses isn't the easiest thing. after the first time it gets a lot faster though. did i mention that they look sick? |

| great peripheral vision with this goggle, it has a large fit, and works well if ya got a large nose like me. I like the custom details that are available by using the Hop up kits. I found that if you need to change the lens, popping out the hop up kit pieces make it easier to reassemble the goggle. |

| Great fitting goggle for those of us with massive melons, or with helmets. Has great face coverage when combined with a helmet. This is what a real med-Large fitting goggle is. |

| We skied 3 days at Keystone. The weather was very snowy, but the goggles only fogged up once for a little while after I ate snow (if you know what I mean). Definitely feel like I invested in some good equipment. I was a little displeased though when they came with the white head band instead of the matching black and gray one that was in the picture. |

| Good fit, nice look, comfortable, good peripherial vision but the lense is very clear. On bright sunny days the lense lets in to much sun but on overcast days they worked perfect. |

| The goggles work well in bright sun and low sunlight, however in show and fog it is a bit difficult to see. The only other issue was when the sun changes direction and a shadow is cast it makes it difficult to see especially if you are high in altitude looking down. Over all I like the goggles.

| I will start by saying they are pretty big (I realize ski goggles are supposed to be big, but these are bigger than most). If you have a small face, I would advise against these. Other than that, I couldn't be happier. The spherical lens is nice because you get a wide peripheral view. They never fog (I keep the vents open all the time). Super comfortable. The platinum mirror lens works great on sunny days (and looks sweet). I usually keep them on even in low light / evening conditions without problems, but I would recommend getting a clear lens if you board/ski at night. |

| No complaints. First time they fogged up and I thought I made the wrong choice; however, they have not fogged up since. I always put my goggles on top of my head on the lift and I haven't had problems with them fogging up.
These goggles are bigger than something like the Oakley A-Frame. The A-Frame fit my face like it was for kids, so this is a better option for people with "big faces" I guess. |

| I have a larger melon and it took a few pairs of goggles from different companies until I found the perfect ones. These Smith Prodigy's fit gloriously and never fog up, unless you leave them in your car over night. I recommend bringing them inside the house and taking them out of their case to thaw or dry out over night. |

| I bought these goggles for skiing in low light, overcast and shadows, and they perform wonderfully. Only once did they fog, when I had inadvertently let my face mask ride up under the goggle. Vents are easy to operate, even with gloved hands, and foam cushioning is comfortable. |

| Overall very happy with my purchase. I bought the rose tint and they worked great during a dump we had last week. No problems whatsoever. The Smith Prodigy helmet is another story though. Helmet is fine but Smith needs to make the latch in the back hold the goggle strap better. Cant snap it shut like a Giro. |

| Holy cow! What an amazing pair of goggles. The Platinum Mirror lens is superb for both bright sunny days to basically the worst flat light. I recommend the platinum mirror for just about everything, but I also recommend getting the Gold Mirror for very flat light to even night riding. These fit great one big noggins like the one I have and over sick goggles. Never fogged up either. Boo Yah! |

| Smith Prodigy 12-07-06 |
Anonymous:
|
| After purchasing the Smith Prodigy's for this year's ski season, I've found they are extremely reliable, provide excellent visibility (I have the platinum, rose-copper, and sensor mirrors), and the venting is spectacular in varied weather. I had a pair of SPY in the past and these are far better! |

| These are great goggles, but I was really bummed to find they did not fit with either my old helmet or my new helmet (a Leedom and a Giro G10 respectively). It could just be the combination of my head shape and helmet size (Giro: Medium), but they didn't work out for me. Otherwise they ARE sick goggles, and i especially like smith's platinum mirror lens. |

| Prodigy Goggles with Blue Mirror 01-10-06 |
FreeHeelFan

|
| I wore these for the first time last week in extremely sunny conditions while backcountry skiing. They were extremely comfortable. Good air flow, the lenses even stayed clear while I was ascending.
The blue mirror lenses are great for the sun. It's like putting on a clear lens only all the glare is cut out and every ripple can be seen perfectly. I had the same lens in my old Anthem goggles, and they worked in every condition including flat light (although the sensor mirror is a better choice for low light). |

| So far, I've used these goggles in high- to low-light situations. They do not fog up while boarding and they adapt to the light so you can see well in a variety of conditions! They keep your face warm and allow you to still be able to use your peripheral vision. The best Smiths I've ever owned. |

| 5 * service 04-18-05 |
Nicola Tessari

|
| It is my first pair of goggles ever, anyway as promised fog is a perfect stranger for this item. I noticed a slight distortion moving my sight from right to left, but it gave me no problem during normal use. Goggles suit me perfectly as far as comfort and vision quality.
What has been really outstanding is the service. The first pair of goggles arrived to me with a molding problem, and the item has been replaced shifting my expectations as far as warranty terms were concerned. |

| I have several of these goggles and I like them. If you have need of a goggle for somewhat more extreme conditions, then get the version with the fan. The only criticism I have is the same with all of the Smith products and that is they're very easy to scratch on the inside of the lens compared to other brands. Spy goggles are about as delicate while Oakley's are much more resistant. |

|
| These were my second pair of Smiths. I had the Rhythm Regulators which went foggy on me a year after I had them in cold snowy conditions (before that day the Regulators were great!). So I thought to upgrade with the Prodigy to rid myself of the fog. Well, the Prodigy is good but not as good as I expected. It fogged on me the VERY FIRST time I had them on in Sunny Conditions but after a run or two the ventilation system took care of the fog. I haven't had fog problems since. Bottom Line: They are comfortable and the vent system works great...but the jury is still out to see if the benefits outweigh the increase in price as compared to lower models... |

| Great goggle, comfortable, has great field of vision, love the fact that you can close the vents to keep the cold wind off your eyes and face. Also, according to Smith, double lens is completely sealed unlike some other goggles. I also have Oakley Wisdom which fogged between the double lens, Scott and Bolle, and like this goggle better than all of them. I got the gold-lite lens which is a great for flat light. |

| These goggs are extremely...sorry, X-tremely comfortable. They offer a wide peripheral view, and iridium lenses that allow the rider to see exactly what they are about to encounter whether it be a blue bird or a flat light day.
I would highly recommend the iridium lenses over those that are more transparent, as you can checkout all the cougar moms without them being able to see your wandering eyes. |

| Good pole 02-22-06 |
athausch

|
| So far I have found this pole to be a good addition to my equipment. I've found that it is a little soft for me, but it performs well overall. I'm about 6'4" and 230lb but it's a rare occasion that I have all my weight on the pole. The only time I've had an issue with it is during a soft snow day when the pole would stick and bend before coming out of the turn. |
