| Great all-purpose travel jacket! 09-06-04 |

| My husband and I each purchased this waterproof jacket for our 1st trip to Alaska. It served as EXCELLENT protection against rain, wind and cold. Generous sizing allowed me to wear over turtleneck and sweatshirt layers. Zipper vents and inside pockets very useful. Pleased that I was able to easily wipe jacket clean as incidental spotting occured. Will take this jacket on EVERY future vacation! |

| I have only had my Hurricane LT Parka for about a month now and I don't know how I lived without it. Even on those hot spring afternoon showers, my jacket kept me from overheating while shedding off those rain drops. Sprinkling or a down pour, it kept me dry. The arm vents work wonders! The only problem I had was that the jacket ran a little big - which actually allows me to add more layers if I need to. The front is a little bulky too, but performance wise, the Hurricane Parka can't be beat! |

| My husband and I are novice packbackers and he urged that we needed to have rain gear. My last packing was 30 years ago, during a long drought in Southern California - so what do I know about rain?
He was right, I bought the Sierra Designs Hurricane Parka and it was a lifesaver! On our 4th trip, this Oct. in King's Canyon, it started raining at 3 am, and rained continuously until we reached the car many hours later. My parka kept me warm, dry and comfortable. (At least, as warm as possible!) We felt the trip was totally successful, in spite of the rain. I know that I would not have felt as good about the trip if I'd had to break camp and hike out in wet jeans! |

| This parka is a great value! It rolls up nice for easy carrying and keeps me dry. I’ve used it for hiking and biking in some serious rain. I like the VELCRO/zip combination for the pockets and front closures. Dries quickly. Lightweight but sturdy. Well made. Many uses ahead... I probably don’t look so sexy, but nobody sees me when I’m using it. That’s why it gets 4 stars. |

| I love my Hurricane Parka! I just had a trip to the South Island in New Zealand where it is cold and snowy right now. The parka was perfect for keeping out the cold wind and the sudden rain showers. Great for layering and it keeps me dry, can't ask for more! |

| It's light, compact and has nice venting. I like that the zip pits are actually more on the length of your arm than in your armpits. Great rain jacket |

| This light jacket wouldn't work if you're hiking the rainforest, but for everyday rain and light wind it does a great job. The hood is the first I've found to fit me properly, without falling into my eyes, and without falling off. The under sleeve zippers does keep you cool, but also lets in a little rain if your being very active. Otherwise this is a great lightweight buy. |

| There are only two things about this product that I am not happy with:
The hood on the size small is too small. The velcro on the sleeve tends to get caught on the velcro along the front zipper if the jacket is not zipped up.
Other than those two issues, it was a good buy for the price. |

| I was impressed with the color, the fit, and the waterproofing of the jacket, as well as the ease of packing into the little case it came in (i could hook it outside of my backpack.)
I was disappointed that the main zipper was low quality, and i had numerous difficulties with the zipper coming undone at the bottom or getting stuck on the way down. |

| I like this jacket, although I was disappointed it lacks a soft lining, which still encourages some clamminess in humid weather, despite the arm vents. Nice color, great pockets, packable. |

| I returned this jacket. I was looking for something that i could use for running. When I received this it reminded me of the old "slickers." It felt cold and clammy on the inside. It wasn't what i was looking for. |

| I'm swimming in a medium and I'm about 5'4, a bit on the chesty side and normally wear a small/medium shirt and this jacket probably could have fit another body in it in just a size medium. I suppose it'd be good for layering. I'm returning it cuz I wanted a warm weather rain jacket, not a layering shell. Looks nice though, better than in the photos. |

| I bought this jacket as a throw in the pack take everywhere rain jacket but it is way too big. I usually wear an xs which is what I ordered but there is about 8 inches of extra material in the armpit area of the jacket and so it isn't comfortable to run around in. Just wanted to warn other small individuals that the xs is sized like a small. Outdoor gear companies really need to make smaller sizes!! |

| I love the way the jacket looks and feels. Love the color, have even had a few compliments! All is great except that the zipper has come apart at the bottom a few times while still zipped in the middle. This has left me, not only feeling frustrated, but also looking like a trapped animal as I flail around for a few minutes trying to either get it to zip back together or unzipping it completely. Other than those few desperate moments of spastic zipper action, two giant thumbs up! ;P |

| I bought one for myself and boyfriend and they are perfect for rain gear in your backpack while hiking. Also came in handy on our whale watching excursion while many people were stuck inside to avoid the cool ocean breeze. If you have one of these you will be prepared for anything! |

| We are planning a trip to Alaska this Spring, and I knew we would need rain suits. This fit great over my clothes, and I was able to try out on Christmas Day here in the Deep South as torrential rains set in early. The dog had be to walked so I suited up. Everything stayed dried and was comfortable to wear. I wish pants came in assorted lengths as they were a bit long. |

| The Hurricane Parka is just what I was looking for. I needed a light weight jacket that would pack into a small compartment. I love how that jacket is lined. It keeps all the rain out. Prefect for backpacking and climbing. |

| I got my jacket a few weeks ago, and I have already used it many times since I moved. The jacket doesn't let any water get on you at all and does not soak up the water like some jackets. In other words, I love this jacket!!! It has made my start in college a lot nicer on those rainy days. |

| The Jacket kept me dry while hiking in some heavy Alaskan rain. It was lightweight and allowed my skin to breathe. It also does double duty during our tropical storms and hurricanes in FL. I love the little visor built-in to the hood, it keeps the rain out of my eyes. |
