I think these shoes are very chic and attractive looking and they could front as a great city shoe, as well as the hiking shoe they are meant to be. Like all of the other Salomon shoes I have tried, they fit my 8.5 foot perfectly. They offer great support and protection from the random particles that shoes can sometimes collect when hiking. If you decide to pick up the pace, the sole has a great cushion to adapt.

| These sneakers rock hardcore! They are most comfortable. Yes, I have to break them in more, but after the first few wearings, I can feel the comfort and stability throughout the shoe. These will last me a long time. Greatest investment made on a pair of shoes.

I have used these great shoes on many day hikes and the comfort is unsurpasable compared to any other shoes I have hiked with!! My regular shoes always gave me blisters after only 1 hour of hiking simple terrain, I can wear the Symbios even when I have blisters and hike comfortably! I love the moss green color and the shoes are stylish enough (in my opinion) to wear on a daily basis! These are the BEST shoes I've ever had! I highly recommend them!

| Shoe looked good but was just huge all around my foot. I'm a very normal size 7. Not narrow or wide. This shoe fit more like a Wide 8.

Have just completed cycling 150km 'Otago Rail Trail' in NZ in minus 10deg mornings. For 4 days the shoes with a merino sox kept me warm. The only pair of shoes I took with me - through snow, mud, etc. The evenings they were acceptable in the bars & restaurants we eat in. After 4 days on the trail we then went sightseeing around the city of Dunedin. No blisters or having to break them in. Will be using them regularly on my ski trips to our chalet on Mt Ruapehu (NZ) this season. The most comfortable & warmest shoe I have bought.

I just took this shoe on a week long hiking trip in Hawaii, and it was amazing! Super comfortable, well cushioned, well ventilated, and grippy. I didn't get wet when I had to cross streams, too. They look GREAT, too! I couldn't be happier with my shoes.

The shoes I wanted! I have typically warm feet and finally there was a shoe for me. They are thin on the top and think at the bottom, so the feet isn't getting too warm. Therefore they are perfect for a stroll or a longer walk. I haven't tried them in the backcountry so i wouldn't know. One thing - They can be a bit slippery in winter time.

Weird color but good shoe 07-31-07

Very green feet but light upper with a bomber sole. Have hiked and bushwacked with moderate weight and soaking wet with good result - no major squish, good fit and support and they dry quickly. The upper is basically a sock so I combined them with a good liner and socks when cool. When hot I use them barefoot. Was an experiment that I am happy with. I have wide feet - stretchy upper accommodates.

Salomon has been marketing the men's version of this shoe as a trail runner, not a hiker. It works for both, but more suitable for the former. I'm not crazy about the high-profile heel; that's the one thing I would change about this shoe. If you have ankle stability issues, look for something with a lower profile. Otherwise, this is a great shoe.

I've had these shoes for a month now and I absolutely love them, even though I wasn't too keen on the color (putty/putty) at first. They are easy to slip on and give great support when you tighten the quick lacing. I've worn them for shopping trips, taking the dog for hikes and everything in-between and never had any problems. My favorite thing about them is that they are water resistant (so no wet toes when taking the dog to the beach :) without making your feet feel to warm (highly breathable). Can’t wait to see how they’ll do in the snow this winter.

A very diappointing experience with this shoe. I was looking for much more support. I could twist this shoe in my hand too easily before even wearing it. Also, not a lot of inner arch support -- to help with pronation. Puckers on the top next to the eyelets. I sent it back . . . .cheri
