Salomon was recommended to me 3 years ago, so when I needed new gear I decided to try them out. Good choice. Very comfortable, size is true. Would buy them again.

This shoe didn't seem to be as bulky as other similar shoes based on the photograph. I was disappointed to find that it's a very wide shoe and not as streamlined as I had hoped. I would suggest buying one size smaller.

I have always been a lover of Salomon's foot gear, but I have to give a thumb's down to the Exclaim. The shoe is extremely wide, allowing the foot too much side-to-side movement. It's a bulky, over-sized shoe.

I ordered these for the wide width sizing and ordered a half size smaller to compensate. It worked! They are comfortable as long as I can tie the laces right. Since I am not used to hiking laces, they are thicker and untie easily. Plus if I pull to much they cut off the circulation to my feet. So after I learn how to deal with the laces I would up the number of starts to 4.

I have super wide feet that narrows the choice when buying a pair of shoes. I wore this to go for a long hike and it was very comfortable. It's a little bulky but no one goes on a hike to look pretty! :) Great shoes, highly recommended!!

I also found this shoe to be too wide and chunky. Over all it's uncomfortable. Wish I knew to buy one size smaller, maybe that might have helped.

Doesn't work well for narrow feet   08-15-08

The shoe seems rugged and well built, but a little heavy. I have really narrow fee and while it fit nice and snug around the arch, it was very wide in the toebox - even looks big - and my heel (which is narrow) slipped. Had my heel not slipped, I'd have kept it. Because of it the heavy suede, it might take a while to break in.

Not too heavy, and although I don't have small feet by any means, for some reason this pair looks and feels gigantic on. It has taken a bit of practice to be comfortable and not feel completely clumsy when wearing them. Perhaps it's the width of the sole at some points, don't know. They just seem huge. Great fast turn around on the online order. Thanks.

When I bought this shoe I was a little leery because all the reviews said the shoe was big and clumpy. Thank goodness I bought my usual size because it is perfect. I bought it to hike around Europe in and I love it. It is a solid supportive shoe and very flattering to the foot to boot! I knew that exclaim had to be a good shoe to be Salomon's best seller and I was right!!!
