| Shoelaces 02-18-04 |
Anonymous:
|
| I think this is a great shoe. Comfortable and so easy to put on and go. My only problem is that the shoelace broke and I can't find anywhere to replace it. Most stores don't sell the laces. I went to the Salomon website and they have no contact info on the site. Has this problem happened to anyone else? Where have they replaced the shoelace? Despite the fact that they are kevlar, they still break. |

| An incredible Shoe 08-21-04 |

| I broke these shoes in by wearing them immediately and hiking through rain forest, streams, ocean and over rocks in Maui. They were great. 4 straight days of wet and dry use. By the fourth day, my feet were ready for no shoes, but you can't blame them. These shoes were rock steady plus they look good! |

| These are wonderful...I wish I had them years ago...and they make kayaking in the muddiest of rivers a pleasure. They are cool, well-fitting, flexible and adjustable, and drain off water so fast you don't even know it's there. |

| I ordered these for my wife in anticipation for hiking the 13 mile trek through the narrows in Zion National Park. Half the journey was in 2 - 4 feet of water. The amphibians did well, and so did her feet! No problems. Her one piece of criticism is focused on the heel/rear shoe fastener. She complained that it lossened up to easily and often, making stops for re-tightening several times. Otherwise...Awesome shoes. |

| Great water shoes 11-07-05 |

| I do water aerobics in an indoor pool four days a week and I was in need of a new pair of shoes for class. I have been buying a shoe designed for water aerobics made by Ryka, but one day they finally gave out! (Chlorine is brutal on your shoes.) I was desperate for a new pair, found some in a store in town, (on my lunch break from work) paid $75 for them, more than the Rykas by about $20 but thought they would be worth it. They felt so good when I tried them on. But when I got home that night I decided to shop for them online, (I can usually find things cheaper there.) I did! I found your site! And best of all, you saved me $30! The shoes have been awesome for classes. In 2 of these classes we do a lot of running in the water and these are perfect! When I need a new pair I will be back. Not to mention, although I will, I have passed the name of your site on to at least four people in class. Thanks for being here! |

| All-around great shoe! 07-02-08 |

| These seemed to have a little more room in the toe box than I am used to, but I tightened up the laces a little more and it worked out fine. They dry fast but do let tiny pebbles in (but it's mesh..what do you expect?!). They're sturdy enough to go hiking all day and did really grip the slippery rocks. I haven't worn them as a clog yet, but they are super easy to get on and off. I had them too tight one time and suffered some minor chafing, but once they were readjusted, everything was good. |

| I bought mine 2002 and did lots of hiking. Later came back to Asia and used them to run because so light weight and the sole durable. I run in them almost everyday for an hour and they are still in perfect condition, and I mean the sole, the lace all that. Wow. |

| High marks on these kickers... 08-08-08 |

| These shoes are great... That is, after I exchanged them through backcountry.com. The original pair sent to me stated that they were the same size, but there was a clear 0.5 inch difference when you rolled the two soles together heel-to-toe. However backcountry.com has a great return policy and replaced them even after I wore the shoes and got them dirty.
This is the second pair of Salomon shoes I've purchased online. I have a wider foot and these fit as true to size as any other name brand athletic shoe. The breathability is hard to beat in the summertime. Wear them hiking, in the rain or splashing in puddles around town. A nice bonus is the anti-microbial protection Salomon uses. Not to mention, the simple cinching of the cord versus tying laces is great. I would recommend these shoes to anyone. |

| I love the collapsible heel so I can slip into them quickly. They dry fast, however, I find them more comfortable with socks for an all day wear which defeats the quick-dry feature. The removable lining is great. I am constantly tucking in the laces when the fall out of the pocket which is annoying and the traction isn't what I was hoping for but overall they are a huge improvement from what I was wearing. I would purchase another pair of these shoes in the future. |

| Looks good but retains smell 04-04-08 |

| I have only used these shoes in one canoeing trip and they have retained a bad smell from the water I was paddling in. They are advertised to be anti-fungal and anti-bacterial so I didn't expect it to be so bad. I tried washing them in detergent and drying them in the sun but the scent still lingers.
Before this incident however, I was very happy with their appearance and ease to put on. They're a little rough on the inside, so I didn't like wearing them without socks for long periods of time. |

| Awesome Workout Shoe! 03-22-08 |

| Purchased to wear in the gym. Though labeled trail runner/water shoe, I thought they might be comfy and cool as a workout shoe. Normaly I wear the basic leather crosstrainer type shoe but, my feet get hot. Theses shoes have turned out just as I'd hoped. They're very comfy, greaT support, with the webbed net fabric it keeps my feet very cool. I LOVE THEM!!!!! Only issue is Salomons run a tad wide, a good thick breathable sock picks up the slack.

| Not a great water shoe 11-30-07 |

| I bought these a while back on sale - it may have been a slightly different style. They are well made but to me they seem clunky and let in pebbles and sand. They may be good for hiking but not for paddling. They take up too much room if you are in a sea or white water kayak and if you kneel while canoeing, they are uncomfortable. |

| I ordered these shoes for a trip to Costa Rica that I knew would include a combination of hiking, rafting, and whatever else came up. They were perfect. Very comfortable - thank goodness, since I got them about a week before the trip and couldn't really break them in first. They don't dry as quickly as some of the sandal type shoes out there, but still were not uncomfortable when wet. Plus they provided more support during my hikes than sandal shoes do. Definitely the best purchase I made for the trip! |

| If all shoes were like this... 07-26-05 |

|
| ...the world would be a happier place. These shoes are flat out the best water shoes I have ever had! Taking 36 teenagers on 4 day camping trips in SW VA can take its toll on any shoe—but this Amphibian takes it all in like a walk in the park. Five hour treks up steep rocky slopes on an 8-mile AT hike—no sweat. Creek walking through a primitive Indian village—gravy. White water rafting the Nola Chucky River on one of the highest volume days on record—breezy. Breaking camp at 8:30pm in the middle of a tropical storm—its all in a days work, my friend! And all this with very little break-in time; that is pure perfection. Solomon better never discontinue this line, this is one Amphibian made to last! Nicole G. |

| I just got these shoes a couple of weeks ago for my backpacking trip to Europe, I broke them in wearing them to work where I stand all day on my feet. My feet have not hurt once since I started using them at work. I can't wait for my trip to see how well they do there. |

Salomon Tech Amphibian shoe

| I bought the Tech Amphibian shoe because it was lightweight, easy to pack on my motorcycle trip, and yet provided enough support to hike to the top of Angel's Landing in Zion National Park and beyond. |

| Great for paddling 10-04-04 |

| I absolutely love these shoes. I've been looking for a shoe that would work for paddling and these are them. They were a great price and I couldn't pass them up. They do run about a size too big, but they have many adjustment options. I love that I can slip them on without having to worry about the heel.. I highly recommend these shoes! |

| Amphibs for canoeing 09-22-05 |
abhraxas

| I took my new amphibs for a week long canoe/camping trip in Quetico Provincial Park and I loved them! They are lightweight and dry quickly, but they’re sturdy enough for long rugged portages. There was a lot less water in my part of the canoe than my companions. I would definitely recommend these shoes. The slip on feature is great for walking around camp. |

| I recently bought these shoes for kayaking, and they work wonderfully. They're very comfortable, stay on well, and dry out extremely fast. I work at a canoe rental, and wore them to work many times. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a rugged water shoe. |

| I used them in Belize and they were good for the jungle except bugs can bite you through them because of the drainage holes. They do get sand in them on the beaches and rivers. Overall they are nice and I will continue to use them. |

| I found this shoe originally about 2 years ago. My dog got to them and needed a new pair. I absolutely love this shoe and bought another pair for my niece who also loves it. I used to be a runner but can no longer run for various reasons. I walk in this shoes for miles and my feet never felt so great!!!!!!! |

| I found these shoes and used them for kayaking and they held up great! They have great tread for uneven surfaces and can be worn like a clog if you have to slip them on real quick and go. They have great ventilation and you can feel the air circulate as you walk (especially without socks!). I highly recommend these shoes for outdoor activities!! I have four pair and use them often. They say not to throw them into the washer but, I have done it in the past on the delicate cycle and they were fine. |

| They are very comfy, really good grip on the sole for walking. Sand and dirt do come in them but that happens with normal shoes. They do run half a size big I would say and they are quite wide.
Since I had them five of my friends have said they are going to get some, everyone seems to like the way they look. Also, go for the free shipping, it says 10 to 14 days but mine arrived in 48 hours. |

| Tracking In Jamaica 11-20-07 |

| These shoes were amazing!! I did the zip line tour while on a cruise, best thing i purchased for the trip. Very comfortable and did their job on the wet rocky climbs.
Shoe size is one smaller and no need to strap to tight, after the track I was able to convert them to a slide to give my toes a rest!
