Don't let the price fool you   09-04-07

The little brother to the SPI binding. The EX is also a go-everywhere, do-anything binding with a few differences. The base tray is a different shape; you still get great response out of it, but is toned down a bit for that intermediate rider. The flex of the binding overall is a medium flex, making it a bit more forgiving than the SPI if you are in hairy situations. If you are an intermediate rider trying to progress your skills, this is a great binding to help you get to the next level of riding.

Ex Binding   01-17-08
Alex Milinski (2): rating
Good binding was not that expensive I just needed something basic for the rest of this season . Holds well on the foot ... like the design, you can move the high back to go horizontally with the board adds extra comfort. Love the conversion system you can use the toe strap on top of the foot or actually cupping the toe and pushing the heel back into the high back. Looks clean rides well No problems this far .. reacts well while spinning and is lightweight .

Not bad at all   02-05-08

Easy to adjust the straps, They have a great set-up. And just feel sturdy compared to some of the plastic ones I have messed with. Everyone who has seen them has liked them and some wanted to buy some for themselves.

Good binding for the Price   10-28-08
Jeremy T (17): rating
This binding is very well constructed. This may be in their low end line but the construction of this binding is very well done. All aluminum chassis with adjustable toe ramp and heel cushion. Dampens vibrations very well and provides a softer landing when your landing from those big kickers. I love the very large strap. Provides optimal support without putting any pressure points since the area is very well distributed across your foot. Love the convertible toe strap. Using it as a cap strap allows me to keep my foot locked in tight without the pressure points on my toes. Used to hate that with my old binding before there was the cap strap. Would have to take a break every few runs to prevent my foot from cramping due to that toe strap. Tool-less strap adjustment is nice for centering the boot strap. Wish the toe strap was toolless also, but I only have to fit it to my boots once anyway so its not a big deal. Grabbed a size medium, I wear a size 8.5 boot and my boot fits fine. If I had a large I think I still wouldve had some overhang from the binding. Barely have anything with the medium. Toe and heel ramps help keep my foot from hanging over the edge. I can get my board up at a much higher angle before I get any drag which will help with carving instead of having to crank the bindings at such a high aggressive forward stance. Now I can crank them down and have an easier time landing larger jumps due to my base being more stable. bottom line: Has enough adjustability. Due you really need to spend more money for lift and cant adjustment?? I know I dont. Has a nice medium flex for some good freeriding response. If your strapped on cash and want a decent binding to keep you strapped in.. by the ex.

Pretty Comfy   05-23-08

Easy to adjust, nice a comfy. Ride has really stepped up the quality of their bindings. They feel a bit soft at times, but none the less, a good binding.
