The style of the skirt is really cute but I had to return it because it was too big. I am usually a medium and ordered a small that was too big so I should have ordered an extra small. This is not the first time I have had problems with patagonia and sizing issues.

I live in Hawaii and constantly pull this out of the dresser to run around in the heat or for after a dip in the ocean. The skirt sits low on the hips and I found the medium to be consistent with other Patagonia mediums. The material is really soft. Even though the skirt is flared I've never had problems with the wind picking it up.

I bought this skirt in a Medium even though I usually wear a Large (size 12-14). It's super cute and snug and sexy. Ordering the medium also meant it's a bit shorter (I'm 5'10") I do recommend ordering a size down nonetheless. The black is really versatile and flattering. The A-line works great with those who are curvy with pronounced hips like myself. My only concern is that the black will fade after washings making it that gross faded black color. On the whole, for such a casual skirt it gets a lot of attention.
