Got these for ice fishing. Can't say enough about them. They have kept my fingers warm and dry. I normally have a problem keeping my extremities warm, but these gloves do a fine job. The alti mitts are the next best, but they cost a lot more, so I bought these. Very happy with them.
I have never been disappointed with Outdoor Research in the past and I just purchased another great product. Despite the size, I was impressed with the amount of control I still have with the Radia Gloves. The tops of the gloves are more insulated than the palms, allowing more dexterity. These definitely aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. The construction is impeccable and the quality fleece in the liner makes them very warm. I also like how snug they fit around the wrists when tightened.
I purchased these gloves for a backcountry ski trip in Utah in December of this year. The gloves I had worn the previous winter were just not up to the task. My hands were so cold they actually hurt.
These gloves kept my hands warm and dry in below 0 weather. Occasionally, my fingertips could feel the cold, but there was no pain or concern that I should go inside. I would recomend these gloves w/ the asterisk about occasionally cold fingertips while in extremely frigid conditions.
I bought these for my wife. She doesn't have particularly cold hands but needs free fingers so she can stick in the kiddo's binky's etc. They're great, very dry, very warm and very comfy! She's really happy with them and plans to use them in extreme temps.
