ok...not super waterproof   10-03-08
Peter Sanford (20): rating
these pants are ok for what you pay for...but don't expect bomber quality out of oakley's outerwear. i've been destroying the bottom cuffs with my ski edges during drops, grabs and moguls. also, i think 10 000 mm rating is pretty generous for these pants. after 3 runs in damp whistler pow, i can feel these soaked through. they are a pretty baggy fit, and when you open up the leg vents and straightline, your legs look like the michelin man! when you buy them you'll see what i mean.

Great pants, but remember your base layer   02-28-08
livelyjay (7): rating
I just got these pants a few days ago and immediately threw them on and went outside where it was about 15 degrees and windy. After about 5 minutes my legs were freezing. Back inside I went and threw on a base layer. With the base layer and pants I was plenty warm. I sat around in the snow for a bit and the water never penetrated the pants. Pants do not have any insulation at all. The fleece material is only for the pockets while the pants are lined with nylon. I'm 5'10", 195 lbs, and have about a 34-35/32 pant size and the large is perfect. Could use some more pockets, but there's enough to store things and there's a lanyard for your keys. Pockets are made from a nice fleece material. The inner thigh vents are pretty large and lined with mesh. Overall I am very satisfied with my pants for the price and you guys provided great customer service and quick shipping.

Sweeeet deal!   03-27-08
dardars (1): rating
I am 5'8 and about 185lbs and normally go with Large's and these pants fit me perfectly. They are perfect for me in that I'm not into the whole skinny jeans fit nor am I a big fan of the super baggy fit like a pair of Special Blend freedom line that I also have. I bought a red pair and a friend of mine bought a pair of olives and they are just like how the website shows in color and pattern. The only reason I'm giving these 4/5 stars is due to the lack of pockets and the lack of insulation. But they work VERY well and kept me dry during wet spring conditions. You will likely need to wear a baselayer however, as they do not provide much warmth since it's basically just a shell.

Quality Pants   03-10-08
smusteven2078275 (1): rating
I ordered these for a first time boarding trip to Utah and they performed great. After 2 full days of numerous falls and abuse, there isn't a single mark on them. Not only that, but I never felt a drop of water come through. Definitely wear your base layer as these are pretty thin. A lightweight long underwear was good enough for me. For reference, the medium size had a nice baggy fit with plenty of room in the waist and a good pant length. I'm 5'9" with a 31" waist.

Update to previous review   11-03-08
livelyjay (7): rating
To give an update to my previous review, I took these out on the slopes a few times last season. With a base layer of UA Cold Gear I was plenty warm. Weather conditions during one trip were awful, with rain, sleet, and freezing conditions. My jacket was covered with a sheet of ice (20mm/10gm rating). The Crash pants didn't let any water through at all and my legs were bone dry. Ice did not accumulate on the pants either.

Good pants for the $, buy a size lower than usual...   09-25-08
hic2434809 (3): rating
These are good pants for the money. I'm 158 lbs, 5'10" and I got the M which I think are way too big (my waist is about 31-32). I would exchange for a Small, but it seems they are out of inventory for that size. I have to pull the velcro on the sides to make it stay on my waist AND use a belt. I haven't tried it on with a base layer yet, so hopefully that will add some waist size and fit better. Anyway, I got the Khaki style and I think it looks better on the website than it does in real life. I'm uncertain yet if I'll exchange these yet for the Olive or the Brown.

Oakley Crash Description & Product   11-07-08
msomera1639336 (1): rating
Nowhere in the description does it say Baggy Fit, so buyers should be foreworned...if they don't mind a baggy fit, they should get a size smaller. The legs are fairly large but it looks like an okay product from Oakley.
