Visually a superior goggle - Blue High Intensity 01-17-04
Kruges
(1):
|
These goggles are far superior to any lens I have used to ski the overcast, shady, and snowy conditions! You can see the definition of the surface in front of you. This is a real improvement over a standard yellow lens which just brightens. My wife and I both love these goggles for their visual quailty. Visually these goggles deserve a 5, but the goggle strap is marginally compatible with my helmet. These goggles overall are worth the money!

For 49 ski seasons I have been searching for googles or sunglasses to help me with the very frequent "flat light" conditions I must ski in where I live. FINALLY I have found the solution in the Wisdom Goggle with the High Intensity Lens. These goggles far exceeded my expections. They are the BEST and believe me, I've been searching for 49 SKI SEASONS...

Great lens for white out, best visibility possible in low light. Used at mammoth in the pea soup with less than 10 feet visiblity and could see.

These goggles are awesome for low light. I have owned a pair of HI wisdoms in the past and was impressed with the visibility in low light and especially with the comfort and fit. I would recommend them to anyone whom they fit.

Wisdom Goggles - Helmet 04-10-05
DH UK
(2):
|
Wisdom Goggles are only helmet compatible if you buy the Wisdom Goggle Helmet Strap, the standard strap clashes with the helmet pushing the goggles much lower down on your nose which is both uncomfortable and reduces your nasal capacity. The Helmet Strap works well, if you wear a helmet you will need it.

This goggle is dank! I use the high intensity lense for night skiing and on cloudy days and they improve your vision so much. The Vents on the goggles are great they help circulate the air so well that they never fog up. Im not buying another brand of goggle again.

Good but not great 01-02-06

Skied for a week at JHMR in awful visibility and 43in of new snow in six days over Christmas. I'm not complaining about the conditions. Googles fit ok over my eyeglasses but did not move enough air to keep them fog free. The addition of the anti fog solution to the glasses seemed to solve the problem but my old Bolles seemed to have better ventilation.

These goggles are great. The lens is the best for low-light conditions. Although they are not that great for bright sun, they are a necessity for night or overcast riding.

These goggles are like night vision for snowboarders! Perfect for night/cloudy or even day if you want. Nobody will stop you from wearing them! I promise! They are my favorite pair so much that I wear them exclusively. If I had to go back in time for some reason I would still buy them again!

The goggles are soundly constructed & the lens brighten everything up. The foam is thick & comfortable, and the vents work well to prevent fogging. Great investment.

These are great looking goggles. Just a little disappointed the strap is the old strap and not the new o matter straps. Had to buy the extra helmet strap from oakley. Fit of the goggles are great. I also own a pair of a frames and both of these goggles fit my face fine. Wisdom is def for a bigger face but both fit fine. Love the design of the wisdoms. Oakley products are great. Must buy.

You think you might be paying for the name, but it's worth every penny. I've had a pair of Wisdom from 2003 (also purchased from Backcountry) and they're still in one piece. I'm positive they saved me from a broken nose countless times. I have one for bright & low lighting. But if you need something for in between, the regular persimmon lens works well. It doesn't hurt that they look good on too.

There serve as an excellent replacement of my previous Oakley ski goggles. Solid construction, amazing optics, and they even fit over my glasses if I decide not to wear contact lenses on my day on the slopes.

|
very comfortable on my face and great field of vision. They were not very compatible over my helmet, even with the helmet strap. So I cut out the adjustable slides and resowed the headband to a length the fist comfortably under my helmet with no plastic pieces diggin into my brain case.

I haven't really tried many other night/low light goggles. I guess it's because these are so great I haven't had to try any others. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a night/ low light type goggle. They never fog and make everything brighter.

Been searching hi and lo for a goggle that works well in snow, flat light and generally miserable conditions. While not perfect, the Oakley High Intensity goggle offers the best field of vision in the worst possible conditions.

Oakley Wisdom H.I. Yellow 02-21-07
flat light rider

Lenses are amazing for flat light, night skiing or heavy snow days. Huge coverage allows for great range of views. Hardly any fogging, great ventilation. Only downside is the way Oaks sit on your nose. Seems like they want to rest real high with most of the lens above your eyes...push ;em down and they close your nostrils. Just me? Maybe? But, look at others wearing Oaks and see where they sit.

Not all that thrilled with these... Don't get me wrong - they are well designed and built, they just fit my face funny. I wear a helmet and I think these would do better without one. Wisdoms are quite tall which means better visibility but it also means the top of the goggles hits my helmet which pushed down on the goggles. The net effect is that they put quite a bit of pressure on my nose making it more difficult to breathe (not to mention being uncomfortable). If you don't wear a helmet you'll love them. Oh yeah - the Hi Yellow lens absolutely ROCKS in low light conditions... don't leave home without them on a storm day.

These are the best goggles I have ever owned...hands down! Highly recommended for those stormy days with limited visibility. Depending on your helmet-type you may need to buy helmet-compatible strap from Oakley as I did for my Boeri. It is only 15 bucks and available for purchase at their website.

I used this goggle for the first time today. The high intensity lens made things look really clear, without causing me to go blind in the snow. If you have a really wide face it might feel like the edges of the goggle are really close to your eyes. Other than that, it fills up quite a bit of your face. It seems to have a strong frame as well, it really got tested hard today.

Glacier Skiing Safer -High Blue Intensity Lens 04-10-05
DH UK
(2):
|
Just returned from skiing in Chamonix, whilst on the glacier with a guide, one minute bright sunshine the next the cloud came down and it started snowing hard, I put my goggles on, the other members of my group all complained that they couldn't see a thing, yet I could just about make out the contours and was able to ski with more confidence (and safer) in the guides tracks in the crevasse ridden area. I could also ski faster with confidence in the fresh powder in whiteout conditions, how much is that worth!

Though a tad pricey, these goggles are great. It's like turning on a light switch when you put them on. They’re too bright for sunny or partly sunny days....but perfect for storm days and cloud cover days. They help you spot those surface features of the snow which can surprise you. The spherical lens is superior for downward and peripheral vision. The only complaint I have is the plastic hinge where the strap attaches to the frame....it gets in the way with a helmet, at least mine, but I got it to fit with a little monkeying....the system would be fine with no helmet or one with a recessed rim in the temple area. They look cool too!

These goggles are great on snowy days. Periphiral vision is top notch and I can see much better than any dark tinted lense. I have a pair of Iridums for blouebird days and these for overcast, whiteout, or just plain snow days.
