| Cool but doesn't fit 10-04-08 |

| Sure these goggles look cool and I'm sure are technically very well made; however, they simply do not fit with a helmet. I read other reviews that said it was a tight fit or they wore the goggles under their helmet, but it was impossible either way for me. |

| NOT HELMET COMPATIBLE 01-29-08 |
East Coast snowboarder

|
| I bought this model of the Wisdom after reading good reviews about them. The description stated (and still states) helmet compatible. This is WRONG. Not only the strap is really short so that you would have to set up the goggles on your helmet and then try to fit your head into it (and you would have to remove the goggles and the helmet at the same time) but also the plastic ends make IMPOSSIBLE a good fit even in those conditions. These straps are definitely designed for WITHOUT HELMET USAGE. Oakley sells helmet straps I might try this or return the product. In any case don't intend using this with an helmet without replacement of the strap. The description is at least MISLEADING or WRONG. |

| This one is my 4th goggles and love it, it works perfectly, very comfortable, fit over glasses nicely, and the yellow tint lens make snowboarding so much more comfortable, but seems like the lens scratch a little bit easier than other brand...maybe I just abuse it too much. |

| Like ski boots, I guess you have to try a bunch of goggles on until you find the right fit for your dome. Wisdom was hardly a wise choice for me... my broad nose didn't let the goggles sit naturally and pushed them waaaay up on my forehead. My eyes were at the bottom of the lens opening, and even pushed way up, they left a huge gap between the goggle and my helmet... which the strap didn't work with at all. Returned and went for the much more universal fitting Spy Soldier. Glad I returned them! |

|
| Overall I am a fan of Oakley Goggles. Clarity is great from the lens, but with the triangle strap attachment, these things just don't work with a helmet. I wear an Xl helmet and the strap connectors did not even go outside the helmet, this pushed the goggles down on my nose and made for a bad day of messing with them to just make them try to work. I passed them off to my gf who wears a Medium helmet. The connectors went outside of her helmet but still pushed down on her nose. I would go for these if you don't wear a helmet, clarity is great, but if you are trying to be safe with a helmet, stay away from these goggles. |

| basic summary: great goggles, but not so much if you wear a helmet when you ride...
I bought my first pair of Oakley wisdoms 3 or 4 years ago. I will not deny that they are incredibly comfortable and do offer fantastic periferal vision. However, the plastic strap pivots on either side of the goggle's frame aren't very Helmet-friendly. they protrude slightly and tend to push against helmets very oddly, often leading to massive gaper-gaps between the googles and your helmet. In addition, it's very likely that depending on your helmet, the strap will not be able to wrap around the helmet's shell due once again to the goggle's plastic strap pivots. this often forces you to wear the strap under your helmet. In fact, I found myself frequently riding without a helmet at all because of how oddly the goggles fit with a helmet.
Still fantastic goggles none the less. after 4 seasons of abuse, my Wisdoms are still in fantastic condition. |

| These goggles are simply bomber. They work fantastic and are very comfortable. Their quality is really unmatched and their value is beyond believe. I love these so much that I have bought three pairs for myself. I thought about buying different lens but I've been able to get them as full goggles cheaper then just the lens. Oakley makes a ton of different lens so you have plenty of options. I have a fire iridium pair for bright sunny days. I have a persimmon pair for over cast or cloudy days. Finally I have a H.I. yellow pair for flat and night skiing, which work unbelievably well in those conditions. If you are thinking about only one pair, go with the persimmon as they are incredibly versatile. |

| I have had all Oakley goggles since the beginning. I have had numerous Oakley frames, but 4 pairs of Wisdoms all together. I think Wisdoms are perfect goggles! They provide the rider with good peripherals, fit the face very well, good ventilation, and of course, stylish. If you have the money to dish out on these pricier gogs, I highly recommend. * be sure to select the correct lens tint for the conditions of riding you indulge in. Iridium may look sexy in the day, but when you drop for a night session, have fun squinting.. (pink irid. is an exception) Buy em'! |

| Got my new Wisdom as my first Oakley, Black Iridium lens, definitely an upgrade with the experts. Went sno-boarding for 2 days at Sierra-at-Tahoe in pow pow condition, high winds day 1 and sunny day 2. Great clarity due to the bigger convex contour and held up to the winds good. No condensation. Will take it to Winter Park for big pow. I am pleased with this purchase. |

| I own five pairs of goggles with the Wisdom being number five. It is the last pair I will ever buy. After using Spys, Smiths, Dragons, and Anons I'm willing to throw down the claim that the Wisdom is the best goggle around. Well at least for me. Some may not like being able to see so far into their peripheral vision that you have to strain to see the frame. Some may like goggles that pinch or slip, and otherwise just don't fit. Some may like making a mid morning trip to the lodge on a powder day to defog their goggles after a bit of hard riding. I prefer riding in comfort and being able to see the little kid I'm about to run over. |

| I bought the googles late in the season so i didnt get to test them as well as i could have. Overall excellent goggle. comfortable on the face. only slightly tight on the nose (my nose is larger than normal). i wore the goggles all day including dressing. while dressing after 5 min they fogged a little however after my first run all was clear. vents work fantastic. all moisture was cleared even after a snowball to the face. no issues. day was 25 degrees so i dont know the results in harsher weather. |

| Greatest goggles ever, I took them to the Alps and dropped them a lot, no scratches, no damage. These goggles are very rugged and sturdy. They are also very comfortable and do not fog easily. they might be a little too thick, but I was able to get over it because, it has a small strip of rubber to keep them on my helmet. Great goggles |

| I'm a big dude. 6'6" and 290 lbs. That being the case, I produce a lot of body heat and have always had a problem with fogging. I have tried so many goggles. The other day, my friend let me borrow his Wisdom's and what a difference. Not only did they not fog on me, they were the most clear goggles I have ever worn, period. If you want a goggle that fits great and doesn't fog, this is your goggle! |

| The quality you'd expect is evident in these Oakley goggles. From that perspective I have no complaints. But they do fog quite a bit when hiking in wet snow conditions, and once they have any moisture on the exterior of the lens, it is almost impossible to see thru them, and I ended up keeping them on my head and forehead the second half of the day. Only one-thumb-up on these, if you are going to be in wet snow and blizzard conditions... |

| Ok, so I hate goggles, but sometimes you just need them. I got the wisdoms because they're reputed to fit big noggins well, which they do (I wear an XL helmet.)
What they don't do is fit big noses. I've got the wonderfully big solar panel nose courtesy of my grandfather (proportional to my head, but big), and the nose notch on the wisdoms is too darn narrow. It causes the goggles to either sit too high or squeeze my nostrils closed. If you've got a schnoz on you, look elsewhere, these will make you miserable.
Other stuff: The strap connection system is pure plastic with small contact areas and as such, highly suspect. Peripheral vision is decidedly so-so, and your up and down vision is similarly mediocre.
Overall, I'd call these a decidedly Ho-hum offering that don't really change my opionion on goggles being uncomfortable and limiting to your vision. |

| There are no other goggles that come close to these - they are the comfortable I have ever used, and as the review say don't fog at all. Obviousley there is nothing bad to say about Oakley optics.
Ok - so thats all the practical stuff sorted out. As well as all that, there is no other goggle on the market that comes close to the look of these - if you can justify the cost, the look alone will make you pleased you spent the money! |

| I purchased the goggles prior to my 4 day Pyrenees ski trip. I skied in sunny weather the first two days and cloudy/foggy conditions the remaining two days. The goggles were great in brighter conditions. However, when we were skiing in the cloudy/foggy conditions the goggles did not allow for me to see the terrain and the details of the snow. I would recommend these goggles only in sunny ski conditions. Great goggles overall! |
