| Best Boots I have ever owned 12-06-08 |

| I just went from 32 Focus Boas and TM-Twos to the Northwave Decade SL. This boot is by far the most comfortable boot I ever put on, yet the comfort does not compromise response. The trick lacing system is awesome, you can tighten the upper and lower portions of the boots as you want them. The shell of the boots is actual leather, who does that nowadays?! The fit and finish and quality is far above the 32 and Salomon boots I have owned in the past. If you can get your hands on these, you must. The fit true to size. Best used for charging steep lines and trees where response and comfort throughout the day is of utmost importance. Get these, your feet will thank you! |

| I had an old pair of Salomon's with traditional lace ups that had seen better days. My feet ached after only a half day and was looking for some boots that were most importantly – comfortable, but still responsive.
Although there were no local shops that carried these so I could try on a pair, I decided to purchase these Northwave boots after reading the online reviews. I bought these late in the season, so only had the opportunity to use them once, but I was extremely pleased.
The lace system is great in getting a good fit for both your arch and ankle independently. Also, the inner shell has a separate lacing system as well. I tightened each section, clamped it down and never had to adjust until I removed my boots at the end of the day. The response on the hills felt excellent and had no problems whatsoever.
The lacing system takes a little bit of getting use to, but is well worth it. The only problem I’ve noticed is that once you tighten the laces to your comfort level, there is a lot of excess lace that you have to figure out where to put. Each boot does have side pockets to tuck in the handles, so I ended up just shoving the excess lace into the pockets.
Fit true to size and got them for $153.26. Worth every penny. |

| I read the reviews on the internet and went to the shop to check them out. They fitted me perfectly. I love the tightening system. My last pair of boots were oldskool Northwaves. I Used those a lot and always loved wearing them. That's why I wanted to stick to this brand.
What I noticed, is how comfortable these boots fit. Without gaps or spaces.
On the side of the boots, you have suede pockets that are really flat. This is for putting in the handles for tightning. first you tighten the inner boot with a genius strap system and velcro to keep the laces in place and you tighten the outside boot with two separate handles which stay perfectly in place for hours with yet another genius system.
on top of that you get a good warranty. That's also why I like northwave, good customer service.
I'm sure these boots will give me everything I need in the snow.
On top of that, I got them for only 166 euros (225 dollar?). best buy ever. |

| I tried on Burtons, Thirty Twos, all the high end boots, with the twist ratcheting cable laces, traditional laces, as well as single and dual pull laces. The Northwave boots are definitely the best bang for your buck but beyond that i think they are just the best. The brass wheel system is awesome. Your boot pulls tight and you dont really have to worry about pullin it too tight or being too rough. When you unsnap the front clasps on the laces and pull the sides of your boots they just LAY open like butter, getting your feet in and out of these boots is the easiest ive ever experienced without sacraficing a bit of quality. The only thing i didnt care for was they're cheaper boot with the single side laces, pulling it tight was kind of a pain. |
