| Great Top 11-27-05 |

| I had a similar REI brand top many years ago. It's now threadbare from so much use, and REI no longer makes the same top. I looked long and hard for a replacement. This is the closest I could find. It's a worthy runner up, but still not as ideal as my old favorite.
What I love - Simple top, no silly little zipper pockets here and there that one never uses. The high collar is great for colder days/mornings. The half zip is excellent for ventilation as the day warms up or activity level increases. It's warm, but lightweight and not bulky. It can be easily tied around waist or to your backpack if it gets really hot. Doesn’t take up half your suitcase or backpack when you pack it. Unlike so many tops which are cut tightly, the sleeves and torso are cut generously enough to allow easy and comfortable layering. However, it's not cut so generously that you can’t wear it alone as your base layer. It's nice looking, you can wear it in public without looking like a jerk.
Still REI's old version was all these things and even better fitting. This top runs a little long, especially if you're only 5'2" like me. The sleeve length is okay. There's elastic in the cuffs which keep the sleeves at your wrist. However, the bottom of the shirt hangs a little too long compared to my old favorite. Unlike my old favorite, there's no elastic in the bottom hem so you can’t put the bottom higher on your hips and have it stay there. You either have to tuck the shirt into your pants or accept that the hem might hit you a little lower than you'd like. It doesn’t fall so low that it screws up your stride when running, but if you wear it for cycling, it's long enough to be a nuisance. If you get out of the saddle and then go to sit back down the horn of the saddle can catch the bottom of the shirt. They should either put a little elastic in the bottom so you can secure the shirt higher on your hips/waist, or make a petite size for women.
It's not easy being short! |

| I love it. The colors are great and it is very warm. I can use it as a base layer or wear it as an over shirt out on the town. |

| This shirt has been great for autumn workouts. It's warm, breathable, and dries quickly.
I think this relaxed-fit shirt runs large. I usually wear a women's medium, but a size small in this shirt is still big enough to layer over a thin T shirt. |

| I use one for number of months and was time for my wife to get another baseleyer top. She got number of other baseleyer/technical tops from Patagonia, Arcteryx and Marmot, All in size M with perfect fit. However MH sizing is way off!
This top in size M almost fits me and I am 5 11 , 185 lbs. Quality and wokmanship is excellent. Try one on in local store before ordering on line. |

| This is the best layer for skiing - don't worry about using anything else. This fits real snugly around the forearms, and is super soft on the inside. You can wear it inside out, but I don't see why you would. Any girl that is around 5"9 with a bigger chest will need a large. You will have this shirt for 10+ years and love it every ski season! Also great for mountaineering! |

| i wear this multi-purpose shirt ALL THE TIME. i wear it skiing, snowboarding, to the office as a sweater, bumming around town, camping, hiking, around my waist in case the temp change, etc. etc. it has probably been through the wash a hundred times or more, and it still looks great. i have a small and am 5'6", 120 lbs. it fits perfectly and looks stylish enough to be a top layer if you want. |

| Bought this for my mother as a gift. Saying this woman is cold-blooded is an understatement (she can't even wear short sleeves when the temp is in the upper 80's). I wanted to find something that would keep her teeth from chattering even in an Ohio summer. She loves this baselayer. She is 5'2" and only about 100lbs. Don't know what everyone was complaining about in terms of size. She likes clothes to fit a little loosely so I bought the medium and it fits fine. If it keeps her warm a normal person could probably weather anything in this. |

| I bought one of these tops for each of my sisters & myself for Christmas & one of my sisters has already bought another one because she likes it so much! They are smooth on the outside & warm & fleecy on the inside-very stretchy, so go down 1 size for a good fit. |

| I got this for my girlfriend to replace one she got quite a few years back that fit her perfectly. I got the same size this time, XS, and it was at least a size larger. It's a great fleece, but they need to cut the sizing back quite a bit. |
