| Seriously warm and cute, butt... 12-23-08 |

| I got the XL in Wasabi to have a light weight, low bulk, cold weather layer for hiking. This is great on all counts. The shell material has resisted light misting rain without a cover layer. Compresses very small. Also the shell feels silky and the color is lovely; lots of compliments. I've been wearing it everywhere since I got it, comfortable over a silk under layer and sweater at temps to 10 degrees.
I wear a size 16 and am big in the hips, and it snugs onto the top of my hips. Would be nice if it were sized to fit *over* the hips of the women who are likely to wear size 16 (i.e. proportionally bigger in the buttulous region). Fits perfectly well everywhere else, room for layers. |

| This jacket is thin and very compressible, but remarkably warm. I wore it in 30 degree weather and stayed warm. Fits a little big, but it worked well for layering. |

| This jacket is probably warm, considering it is 800 fill down, but it's really thin and the fit is so weird. I'm about 5'5" and 128 lbs and I usually wear a size 2/4 so I ordered a small....It was short on the torso, but the sleeves were so HUGE I swear I could have fit 3 of my arms in one sleeve. So basically, if you have a really short torso and are planning to wear 20 layers underneath, order this jacket. As for me, it's going back and I'm ordering something else. |

| I wanted a down jacket for the winter because I was sick of being cold but didn't want a really bulky one. I chose this over TNF Thunder because of price and at 800 fill it should be just as warm. I am 5'7" 125 lbs, could have gotten an XS but went with the S because it wasn't as tight around the wrists and I planned to use it more casually. It hits just above the hips which is fine for skiing, I would prefer a little longer for casual. I have worn it all winter and only put a shell over it when it was raining or snowing really hard or below 10 degrees. I started using it under my shell skiing and plan to take it backcountry since it packs so small. I wish it was fitted a little better but I love it anyway because of how warm and cozy it is. It does lose feathers but seems worth it because of how warm it is. I think it will stay warm for a few years even with the feather loss. I would definitely recommend this is you want a lightweight warm jacket for a lower price. |

| I am a soild size 14 with hips and b chest. The fit on this L coat has been perfect for me. This coat is thin but warm. Skied in it in South America this summer to test it out. It worked out great. Warning: it is a basic coat. The inner pockets do not have zippers. No under arm venting. No snow skirt. I wish it had a couple more features, but I am happy with the style so I'm keeping it. |

| The best down jacket I've ever had 11-15-09 |

| I've longed for one of those "down sweaters" for a long time and I finally purchased the Venus. I love it and it is everything I thought it would be. I am tall (5'10") and the sleeves are just the right length as well as the overall length of the jacket. It is lightweight, yet provides plenty of warmth. I wear this jacket on those 30-40 degree Colorado sunny days and am toasty warm. Whether going to work or playing outside, it works for just about every occasion for me. Wouldn't mind having one in every color. |

| Finally a jacket for women who move! I usually have to resort to mens products for this type of fit at the expense of style. This jacket is shaped for women, and is feminine. When I raise my arms over my head, the sleeves dont slide up my arm, when I bend over it still covers my waist well (it dips down in the back a little). The sleeves have room for elbow movement without catching or impeding movement. I wear it alone on a chill day or under my OR gortex shell and my OR soft shell (depending) for a really warm loft layer. I would like to see a heavier zipper on it and some earthy colors... otherwise dont change a thing. Thanks Marmot for a womens jacket thats made for work and not just looking good driving to the mall!!! |

| I got this on steep and cheap for something like $60, which was a steal for such a nice product. On the downside, it's very, very simplistic... I would have liked to see lined pockets and better wrists. I got the white, which I'm sure will look quite dirty very soon but currently looks very nice, lol. I have yet to use it in extremely cold weather, though, so no review on its insulating qualities. The only thing I don't like about it is the fit, or lack thereof. The arms are quite poofy and big, even in a small, giving one a wide-ish appearance, and the waist isn't as defined as I would like. |

| This jacket acts as my own personal heater. No problem with being warm in 20 degree weather. I have rather large boobies and I'm very apprehensive when it comes to buying jackets tops online. I kind of gauged my decision on customers reviews and made my purchase. The waist is tighter than the chest area and that makes my 4star rating. I wish the chest and arms wasn't so roomy, I wish it was more uniform in size. Other than that, you cant go wrong w/ this jacket. I wear nothing underneath because its sooo warm(I don't like to perspire),Of course I wear a bra and a top. If I forget my gloves..no problem the pockets are warm as well. |

| I got this to replace an old Isis jacket. I use it for casual wear around town and as a layer under a shell for alpine skiing - it keeps me very warm here in New England. The small fits with plenty of room for layers underneath, I usually take a size 4-6. Fleece on tha inner collar and pockets would be an added bonus. |

| I just bought this coat in Fernie (in a great purpley raisin colour), and wore it for my walk to work in the -25C (that's -13F for you Yankees) weather, and it kept me warm. Great fit, the elastic on the sleeves was good because it stayed over my ski gloves, and the length was good, not too long, but not a short coat by any means. A fleece lining around the colour & in the pockets would have been groovy, but still a great coat. Me likey!!!! |

| My husband got the Patagonia one and I tried to find a women's in that but couldn't so I opted for the Marmot. It is a great jacket. I normally wear a small but got the medium instead, it is a little roomy but ok since I will have layers on underneath. I would definitely reccomend it as a down coat for camping/hiking. |

| I was looking for a super warm, heavy weight down jacket. The chat now guy said this is the warmest I can get. This is definitely a spring jacket for warmer weather.
I was a little put off by his bad advice and will go elsewhere for product information from now on. |

| The zipper started to seperate at the bottom with in a week.
I was trilled that it arrived so fast (within 3 days!), but I'm pretty bummed about the quality.
I expected better quality from Marmont.
Oh, and NOW it's on sale!
I won't order anything else from them again. :( |

| i was pretty dissapointed in the fit in the hips. the XL is plenty big in the shoulders and chest, actually almost too big, but way too tight in the hips. If you have hips you might need to size up. I ended getting a mont bell men's jacket instead. the rest of the jacket seemed great, i was just bummed on the fit. |

| A quality coat. Great fit and I liked the smaller chambers to minimize down shifting. I tried this one and the North Face Thunder down jacket and I ended up choosing the Thunder Down because it was so darn flattering on. My husband thinks I am sexy in my Thunder down...but then he thinks I am sexy in a burlap sack too. |

| I ordered three different down jackets for my wife to compare. They were the Patagonia down sweater, one by OR and the Marmot Venus. The Venus was definitely the favorite. She loves it! |
