| Great shoe - almost 06-11-04 |
Fred
(1):
|
| These shoes have great rubber and serve well as rock climbing approach shoes. Except they have one major flaw. I have had two pairs, each for less than 1 month and the tab at the back has pulled off one shoe on each pair in 2 and 3 weeks respectively. (And I was more careful about pulling on the tab on the second pair!) You should be able to expect to pull on this tab to get your foot into the shoe (and clip them onto a biner to carry up a climb). |

| These sandals have served extremely well on a week trip to the Boundary Waters as well as for casual use around the lake. I originally tried Soloman Tech Amphibians however my feet are too wide. These have a wide footbed and roomy toe box yet the lacing system readily takes out any excess space and ensures a good fit. The rubber front offers complete protection that other water sandals just can't compare to. I definitely recommend these! |

| These shoes have been great in the Arizona desert! It's nice that there's finally a set of rugged, comfortable sandals with closed toes! The anti-bacterial insole has proven effective as well (no Teva-like funk after several wearings!)
An excellent purchase; worth the price! |

| These sandals are by far the best sandals I have ever owned, I wear them almost everywhere I go. They are comfortable and have great support. I have tried almost every brand of sandal made; I have finally found the Holy Grail of Sandals. Worth Every Penny. |

| I have to say the first time I saw these they peaked my interest. Once I got them on my feet they kept my feet happy and interested. I'm a lazy walker and I stub my toes all the time. Now they are protected. The Keen H2 is super comfortable and supportive. I love the footbed and the straps. They are tight to get on but that only makes them fit better. They handle both land and water with no problems. I like the look after I got use to them. |

| The Keens performed very well combined with a pair of performance socks while hiking out of the Grand Canyon. The only compliant is that when walking in sand, the sand will quickly infiltrate the sandal and pack up under your feet. This is typical with most sandals, however, due to the tight fit and closed web design of the Keens you can not shake the sand out and it quickly becomes very uncomfortable and annoying. |

| I wear both styles of Newport sandals (leather and H2) whenever and wherever I can. They are made for my feet! One caution, though. I discovered that I needed a half-size larger in the H2 model than in the leather Newport. Also, try the Growlers for winter weather; they are outstanding in every way! |

| I bought the Keen Newport H2 sandals just for our vacation. I wanted something that would hold up on hiking trails, in the sand, and in the surf that also had toe protection.
We just got back from Kaua'i, where I hiked the trails, sandy beaches, and walked in the surf. (Yeah, it's Paradise!) After two weeks of abuse, on the sandals —not my toes, my Keen H2's still look new! Oh, yeah, I never did unpack my hiking boots; didn't need 'em.
As they say in Hawaii, they're "ono"--da best! |

| We ride mountain bikes, and frequently cross streams, etc. These are PERFECT. I wanted the comfort of a sandal, but needed the closed-toe protection. Couldn't have designed them better myself :-) I wear a women's 9 1/2 wide so I bought size 8 men's and they are perfect. Was wearing them for class to "break them in"(I teach CPR, etc.)but they don't need it. Comfortable right out of the box, even on my feet all day. KUDOS to Keen! Will be a repeat customer. |

| I bought a pair a year ago, and loved them. I finally convinced my wife to try some, and now she's a believer. This is one of the best sandals I've purchased, and I'll be sure to look at Keen when I need to replace my boots. |

| Already worth the investment while walking on the rocks of Roosevelt Island. I misjudged an outcrop and whacked my toe. If they were my old Tevas, it could've been a bad day. But my Newports kept me secure and in the game. Beyond protection, they are cushy (yet supportive on longer hikes) and have so far been resistant to odor (a great feat...no pun intended). Order up a size as they run a little small. I took the advice of others and it's worked out great. |

| I knew I would like them so much that I tried them on in the mud. If you have a medium arch and an average width, they will fit well. As comparison they fit kinda like Asics running shoes. The perfect water shoe. |

| Newport H2's are a strong and comfortable sandal, they put up with all types of terrain that I hike in but in my opinion get a little warm in hot weather particularly the toe area. Shoes run small so much so that I had to get a one size bigger. Apart from the occasional hot feet they perform well and I have not broken them yet. |

| Well, I got my pair the other day and tried them on. They seem to be well made and high quality, and I'm sure they'll more than stand up to anything you can dish out to them and come back for more. Maybe I have sensitive feet, but the bumper in the front of the sandal made my feet sweat. Too hot!
Also the tip of my little toe was just a hair away from escaping. I sent them back. They may work for somebody else but they didn't for me. |

| These sandals are very comfortable, but since they have the black rubber toe they tend to hold heat in when you are not moving around. Don't expect that cool Birkenstock feeling, the air does not flow through these sandals unless you are moving. In cool temps they are great and in and around water they are great. They look good and are well made, but if you want sand and air to breeze over your feet—buy flip-flops. |

| If you spend any amount of time wearing shoes, get a pair of these. They are comfortable, waterproof, totally breathable. They protect your toes, unlike Tevas. They are my new favorite shoes. |

| Great Warm Weather Hiker 09-06-08 |

| As someone who owns a few pair of Keens' shoes I was already a believer in their comfort. They're one of the few shoes I can wear ALL day without discomfort.
Pros:
- Typical Keen comfort. This counts for a lot!
- Versatile. I've been wearing these on hikes where they get wet in rivers and waterfalls, and in totally dry situations. They always perform.
Cons:
- They are warmer than I expected. Feet get hot in them despite their design.
- A slightly more aggressive sole would be good. If you wear these on a shady wet hike and encounter wet roots or logs on the trail, you're going to slip if you step on them.
Comparison:
I've been a long time wearer of Merrell and Asolo (and other) shoes and boots and while they are great quality footwear, the Keens remain comfortable even after a long day hiking or just exploring towns, etc. on day trips.
I've read reviews where some wearers have had problems with parts of the shoe coming unglued. I haven't experienced this with any of my Keens but if I do I will go straight to Keen with it so they can hopefully make the necessary improvements since they are producing a very comfortable, wearable product.
I'm participating in a 75 mile, nonstop walk-a-thon in October and plan to do it in a combination of Keen footwear. I have no doubt that they will perform. |

| Hiked down into the Waimea Canyon/Kōkeʻe State Park. Also hiked around Haleakala on Maui. These are shoes that provide great traction and stability even in wet/muddy conditions. Easy to care for and clean. Just jump in the water after a long days hike and go for a swim. |

| Solid, comfortable, ergonomic footbed sandals. I have worn them doing everything from working in the yard, to swimming to doing light running. They have held up reasonably well (one seam started to fray after about a month of hard wear), but other than that, they have rocked without a flaw. |

| upon buying the sandal i was super stoked. extremely comfortable, very functional and quite fashionable. Problem is that the sandal absorbs your sweat and after acouple days of wear smells terrible I wear them every day and the only other problem is that the insole gets slippery when wet and the moisture doesn't escape. |

| Comfy, great toe protection, good grip, water proof, easy to clean, good looking & these are the 1st non leather soul sandals that didn't crack my heal. Only draw back is that rocks & sand doesn't find it's way out (because of the smaller slits between the sandals). The Keen Venice H2 Sandal would probably be a better buy if your worried about this. Overall awesome sandal! |

| I am not normally the kind of guy to run around in sandals or even not to wear socks, so when I say that I love these shoes and wear them every day, it means something. I was terrified that my feet would sweat and stink due to the synthetic insole, but that is not the case at all. The open design means my feet stay cool and dry, yet the toe cap and coverage of the shoe makes my feet feel protected. These shoes are comfortable enough to wear all day and to take long walks in. I'm buying another pair in a different color. |
