I am steadily increasing the merino wool collection in my wardrobe, and this one is such a nice addition. I got it in black, and it's very slick and classic. I can wear it with a pair of khakis to work, over my t-shirt and shorts as a light jacket, or as a midweight layer under my ski jacket - word "versatile" doesn't do justice to this amazing shirt! The quality is typical Icebreaker - very well made. I love all the qualities about it: temperature control, anti-odor (it's really true!), and soft, non-itching feel. Worth every penny!!

Fit and color of this shirt are fantastic. If you like merino wool, then is will be a great addition to your wardrobe. I was very sad to return it because unfortunately I found it a little itchy. I guess I'm just not a merino wool person :( But if I were, I'd be wearing this one all the time!

I have another Icebreaker sweater in the closet and love it. I wear XS and prefer fitted clothing. The quality of this item is a very nice mid-weight wool and the styling is great. Love the thumbholes and side pocket. But it does seem to run a size larger than my other sweater. I find I don't wear it as often as I would if it were more fitted. But I definitely liked it enough to keep it.

Wear it all the time from the hill to yoga to the bar... the fit is perfect (I don't like things tight, but I don't like 'em sloppy either.) I usually wear a large & same is true with this top; if you're going for an athletic fit, I might consider sizing down if you're between sizes. It is plenty long in the sleeves & torso & I dig the thumbies. The side pocket is a bonus-> useful when you need it, but otherwise you don't notice it. Admittedly, yes, it is still wool (I think Patagonia is the softest, but I do not like their fit at all.) so it's not as soft to the touch as some other base layers, but I can still wear it comfortably against my skin. Best part? No funk!

If you can wear wool and you want a really warm top, consider this one. Icebreaker makes some quality stuff, but at the end of the day... it's still wool. I ended up returning this top because it was too itchy for me.

Love love LOVE this top. Not only is the fit/cut great! Designed for a female athlete's shape, its Super comfy and warm yet breathable. I've warn it out on its own while running in the cold a few times, and recently took it on a mountain hike in CO as a midlayer. Very versatile, soft, sturdy, and effective. I'm very very happy with it.
