| not for the tall and willowy 11-17-08 |
Vanessa H.
(10):
|
| I'm tall and thin (5'11", 130 lbs., mid-B cup, and I usually wear a medium) and this shirt swam on me - the shoulders were cut right, but the fit was very boxy (like a guy's shirt) and much too short. I wear shirts like this at work (I'm a camera operator), and if I can't lift my arms over my head without exposing my stomach, it's a no-go.
I imagine this shirt would fit a larger-chested or more pear- or apple- shaped woman much better. (I'd recommend TNF Falls Creek woven shirt for willowy hourglass-types.)
Great fabric though - it was soft and the dark thistle color had a shimmery quality. I wish Ex Officio made more fitted shirts because I like the technical specs of their clothes. |

| Very Useful Shirt 05-18-09 |

| This shirt is very light on the skin. After a day of fishing - and actually catching!- I wasn't done in the water, but I did not want to be in the sun anymore. I put this on uder my vest a little afraid if it would be comfortable. Forgot about that concern after the first cast. I'm 5'4" 125 and the small fits great. I like that it doesn't have shirt tails cuz it looks great tucked in or out. Nice added feature- the two zipper pockets! |

| I bought this shirt in a small and found the shoulders binding so I ordered it in a medium. The sleeve length was ample. The fabric is luxurious and silky. The length hits high hip, but covers most of the t's that I will be wearing underneath. I wish it was about an inch longer though. The shirt is shaped and is flattering and functional. I am going someplace really hot so I'll write and let you know how it performs in situ.

| Fantastic for Super Hot and Humid Climes 09-24-09 |

| I live in San Antonio and this summer was brutal! Over 100 and humid for months on end. This shirt is the best. I tried them all- all exofficio's. royal robbins and columbia, etc. this and the airstrip are lightweight and keep you cool and dry. Other stules only worked if there was a breeze and boy did they wrinkle! these wash and dry so simple and wrinkle free I bought several. I do have narrow shoulders so being 5'7" the S/P did fit me perfectly. I am normally a size 6. I love that these are not big and boxy but have a feminine cut. If you have wide shoulders you'll need to go up a size. |

| Perfect backpacking shirt 09-14-09 |

| I never pictured myself wanting to backpack in a long-sleeved, button-down shirt until I slipped into this little number. It's so light that you barely feel it, and the sleeves are wonderfully long. I wear them unbuttoned, and they partially cover my hands to protect them from the sun. The collar even stands up so that I can get protection on my neck as well. Sun protection is my main concern when I'm hiking in the CA sunshine at altitude. I always thought that long sleeves would be too hot, but you barely notice this shirt. The best part is that it is sturdy enough to keep the chill off if you hike into shade or a breeze kicks up and you're sweating. Really awesome shirt. I found the side zip pockets to be convenient for slipping my map and a small compass in and out. I wear this shirt on every trip (and it can do double duty as business casual at my job, too!). |

| I'm 5'5", 125lbs and normally wear a small or medium, depending on the brand. I ordered the small pinot color and the length was way too short for me, as I have a long torso. The size was labeled S/P - small petite. The color was more a brown red versus a burgundy color as it appeared on my screen. I have since bought a Columbia brand sun top/hoodie on sale at Sports Chalet that fit me better. |

| Great shirt and great price when on sales 07-29-09 |

| ExOfficio shirts are the best in quality and workmanship. When they are on sales at backcountry, which should be more often for ExOfficio shirts, they are usually good deals. I bought three Dryflylite women shirts for my hiking group. Ladies in the group now have a hiking uniform. They love it. |

| I love this shirt! I own it in three colors in the checked pattern. They are extremely packable and light. I took two of them on a camping trip. I like to test my gear so for 3 days in a row I wore the same shirt without washing it. On the 3rd day it wasn't reekerific and my compadres could stand my stench. Everyone is different in their reek factor so take my advice accordingly. The other one I washed with a camp soap and hung it to dry overnight. We had rain that night and it was dry mid-morning without sun. I have also washed one of these shirts at home and immediately put it on---dry in 5-10 minutes.
One of the other reviewers didn't like the zip pockets. I have to disagree, I like the fact that they are understated pockets. I'm a photographer and like to throw my lens caps in and secure them with the zippers so they don't fall out. I know that Ex Officio makes a similar shirt with regular pockets so please don't change this feature. Also, some of the other viewers find this shirt on the short side. I have to agree, I'm 5"2" and this shirt is just a tiny bit short on me. I can't imagine having a long torso and wearing this so Ex Offico could definitely make it at least a tiny bit longer. They could also put the buttons on the outside of the sleeves a bit farther up. My arms are short and the sleeves hang below my elbows when utilizing the buttons. These are the only reasons that keep me from giving this shirt a 5 star rating.
I've put this shirt through the acid test and the material is very soft and extremely ballistic. I have no rips or tears after crawling through mud and rocks or scraping it against brush or trees. It also gets softer every time you wash it. In the past, performance clothing that dried quickly was extremely uncomfortable to wear. Not so with this shirt. Highly recommended for short torso individuals. |

| I do like this shirt. It's light and performed very well on an 8 day adventure trip. It is quite stylish and the medium fit well for my height (5'6") however might be a bit too short for someone taller but still a medium size. My only problem witn ex-officio shirts (I have another that I also like) is the front pockets -- I really don't understand the side zip - it makes it really hard to use it for plane tickets, etc. If this is a styling issue then forget the styling and go for function please. |

| I bought this shirt for upcoming trips to Europe and Africa, and I love it so much that I ordered another one in a different color. It can be dressed up or down, is supremely comfortable, and looks really sharp! |

| I am a small person and the fit is great. The fabric is so soft. It keeps me from getting sunburned yet is not hot to wear even when the sun is blazing. I have worn it a lot as I hike at least twice a week anywhere from 3-4 to 8-9 miles. It is even comfortable when I am carrying a fully loaded pack. |

| I'm 5'8" and weigh about 135, and I ordered a medium. As with other reviewers, I thought the shoulders and sleeves were great, but I thought the torso was too short (just slightly below hipbone) and the cut is really straight and boxy - not very flattering. It's a great garment otherwise - the aloe color is really nice, and the fabric is light and comfortable. It's the kind of high-quality piece I expect from Ex Officio, but I wish it were longer and more tailored. I'll probably keep it since it would cost me more in shipping to return it than I paid for it, but it's not the super cute, wear-everywhere versatile shirt I was hoping for. |

| Just got back from a 9-day rafting/hiking trip in the Canyon. I wore this shirt EVERY day. I paddled, oared, hiked, traversed over sharp rocks and in 100+ degree heat. I also washed it in the river about five times with some camp suds. I don't know how this shirt compares to others- this is the first time I purchased one like it, but I can tell you this shirt withstood it all-- and then some. The long sleeves worked great to keep me cool and protected in the desert.
I ordered a size small- and it fit me (and my broad shoulders) perfectly. I'm about 5"4' - so borderline petite. |

| I'm 5"11, 150 with a larger chest and found this shirt to fit my longer arms and chest perfectly. I couldn't believe how light the fabric was and it almost felt like I was nearing nothing while spending the day at the themepark. The back vent and roll up sleeves were great for the hotter day. Rolling down the sleeves gave a little warmth when it cooled down after sunset but the back vent let in the cooler night air. Nothing a light jacket can't fix. My boyfriend commented on how light the fabric is and wants to get a mens version for theme park and other outdoor events. |

| I absolutely love this shirt!!! I bought it for my recent trip to Africa and it was all I expected. The fabric dries out quickly. It is so soft and comfortable and keeps you cool on an extremely hot day. The fit was excellent. I am petite (XS) and usually have problems with regular non-petite shirts being too long and big all around but this one fits me just perfect. |

| Love this shirt. Just returned from a trip to Ireland and this shirt was comfortable while hiking in the "moist" countryside of Ireland and stylish enough to wear out in the evening. Able to washed it in the sink at the hotel...was perfect the next day to wear again. |
