| I've always skied on race-flex boots, but I thought I'd try the opposite end of the spectrum, and at this price why not. The 28.5 size is a perfect match of my previous Salomon boot which is a 110 flex.
First impression was WOW, perfect fit unbuckled, and sleek looking in orange and white. Buckled down and walked around, hopped around and then buckled down some more. The cuff can take alot of adjustment to stiffen it up nicely.
I'll play with the cant later, at least the manual says there is a cant, but the alignment seems to be dead on.
Should be interesting to see how these perform, I'll update with a performance post. |

| Tried different brands and sizes, picked up this ones after trying them @ a local store, they were my second try and have been happy with them, have used them a couple of times, they are comfortable and they look nice!
the picture of this model is the one from last year not the new one |

| I picked these up as a shot in the dark. I got lucky. I wear a 11.5 At times the toe box feels pretty lose but that is better than my last boot (technica ti-4 -->which i LOVED). I like that the fr-80 is very basic with no extra tweak settings -> its a 4 buckle boot with a little adjustment in the flex. I got them this year and have had about 12 days on them...no complaints. I scored them on tramdock which helped out alot but would pay 3 bills for this boot. Its solid and lets you shred but doesn't feel like you just got your feet plastered with concrete. I would buy another pair. |

| I never thought I'd find a pair of ski boots that were actually comfortable, I'm glad i held out for these.
I'd give these boots a 9.5/10. I've noticed no real difference in "performance" asides from the drop from 120-130 flex down to 80, compared to my horridly uncomfortable Rossignol Bsquad carbon. These boots drastically reduced foot fatigue from 2 hours until the shell would need to be cracked open to breathe to 6.5hrs.
From the lower arch to the tips are neoprene which is very warm and soft but offers little stability in the toe box. Initially, there is some pressure on the arch where the neoprene starts, it goes away after 3-4 hours or instantly if you get your boots thermo-formed.
The last is luxuriously wide at 105mm and has enough volume to accommodate a high volume foot with a custom footbed insert. The dampening is also outstanding, utilizing two independent dampeners.
I was surprised [pleasantly] when the the boots that arrived were a translucent orange and white. Personally, i think the boots look badass and much better then the black ones listed on backcountry[Tramdock has proper pics].
The craftsmanship is top notch, sturdy buckles and very well fabricated liners top off the fantastic flex and [very active]pivot points of the boots. Also noteworthy is the light weight from the reduction of material in comparison to "performance" boots.
I recommend this to any skier who likes to ski happy all day long. |

| Although these boots are really comfortable, they are not the boots in the picture. The boots that I received in the mail were orange and white, not orange and black. I think that the boots that I got in the mail were last year's boots. It would be nice if backcountry fixed the picture, because it is misleading. |
