| These gloves seemed really awesome, but the fact that I have Sasquatch hands doesn't help. Dakine seems not to tend to the larger palms, that is to say not many gloves of theirs come in XXL |

| these gloves looked amazing on the website. the reviews were 90% positive, nearly everyone loved them. I ordered them for Christmas, and when i opened the box, they sure looked good. but when i actually used them, they were quite disappointing. my fingers got cold after a 20 minute walk in 20 degree weather. I shook it off as incidental. then i went skiing nine days with them on, and it seemed that after every run i'd have to curl my fingers into fists to preserve some heat. my fingers would constantly be cold, even when the temp was in the teens and twenties. i expect more from a pair of gloves. without warmth, even the most stylish gloves are useless. I have to say i was disappointed with the performance of these gloves. i gave them a chance, and honestly, they failed to come through.
not worth the money-next time i'll invest in some hestra's or something.
However, Backcountry was was great with their return policy, and true to their word |

| The Cobra does it all.
Into my second season, still as warm and comfy as first day wearing.
The glove is a must for any outdoors activities (which does not include walking the dog!).
For you doglovers, keep in mind that the glove is made for comfort when in action, which requires that the glove also breathes. This glove breathes perfectly, which again makes it warm and comfy. If you put this on and dont move your hand for 15 minutes, of course your hand will be cold, this is not a handoven, or do you think gloves produces heatfor you?! Well, think again. A winterglove from Dakine is for high intensity outdoor activities.
Tip for making this glove last longer; spend some money on som grease, vazeline, oil or any petrolatum, and rub them in.
Keeps 'em in shape :)
And a last word of truth from a Norwegian: The Cobra does handle effective -40 celcius. |

| These gloves hold up quite nicely to constant wear an tear, i'm a full time board instructor and they keep me very happy. My fingers also get cold SUPER easy and they keep them warm down to about 20 degrees. And they really aren't bulky at all, but very waterproof, which is def. a good thing |

| I’ve had the Dakine Cobra gloves for a few months now and have taken them out in 25 degree weather and most recently
-1 degree weather with wind chill temps making it close to -20 degrees. The gloves held up nicely warm and mostly dry until the later part of the day. After sweat or moisture from the conditions got them a little wet, they did lose some of their warmth, but not enough to cause any cold finger issues. I would say they're a good buy if you don't plan on riding or skiing in a lot of sub zero days, but would like a glove that can handle the cold times when you don't want to wear your pipe/park gloves. They look great, I would say in reality they are a mid profile rather than low profile glove and Dakine truly makes a quality product, so I'm hooked!

| Good warmth, poor durability 12-09-08 |
Shawn Craig
(37):
|
| The Dakine Cobra Glove provides good warmth, I thought with the leather palm that they would also provide good durability. That is not the case. The pluses on this glove are good warmth (around 5 degrees skiing today and they were warm)and they are dry. I purchased these gloves about a month ago and I'm already starting to show wear and tare on the fingers and on the seams. I'm hoping they hold together for now but am not counting on it. Thought I'd give Dakine a try as other products I have used from them have been good. I'll probably look to spend a bit more if these don't last the season and go with Hestra. |

| Been using these gloves for three seasons so far... 12-04-08 |
Jon

|
| I've had these gloves for three seasons and the leather/rubber palm is starting to wear a bit near the stitching, having been dragged through quite a long distance. They're decently rugged. They're still extremely warm and still waterproof, just as the day I bought them. I would highly recommend these gloves to anybody that isn't a first-timer snowboarding because these aren't gauntlet-style. But for non-beginners, it's great because it's soft, warm, lightweight, small, and works for most any situation. It's Gore Tex material so you know it will definitely keep the water out. You can put them on and dunk your hand in a pool and water won't get in (unless it pours in from the cuff, then you're just stupid). The thumbs are a bit long for me, but maybe I just have short thumbs. |

| I have used these gloves for just this season and the there is already a rip on the wrist stap. But other than that these gloves do the job. They aren't as low profile as i thought they would be (actually pretty bulky). But in the end they do their main job of keeping my hands warm great! On the cold cold days i wear laytex surgeon gloves under them and that works like a charm. My hands were on fire when it was dipping below zero! A nice glove at a nice price. |

| I bought these gloves to replace my old park gloves that I had been wearing for years. To my surprise, they have been the best gloves I have ever owned. I usually wear Mitts on cold days, but these gloves can keep my warm in the nastiest of conditions. They even help up against a Minnesota Tow Rope! Strongly recommended. |

| This glove is great for 30+ degrees outside and is not meant to take a huge beating, my gloves ripped at the fingers but they survived the winter, Dakine also offered to replace them which was pretty cool of them. I would suggest these for in bounds skiing and shoveling the driveway. I liked them alot, stylish and easy to throw on, never had finger issues either (bunched up fingers inside). For the price pick up a couple pairs! |

| Super warm and super dry, but and this is a big but, the silly pattern on the palm and fingers starts to peel off instantly, they should have left the palm blank, the stitching came away in first 2 weeks and grabbing my board put a massive slice through the thumb in the first week. I wore them for the rest of the season with all these defects yet my hands didn't get wet once due to how good the gore-tex is.
Personally the Cobra mitt is too many leagues ahead of the glove to mention.
These just aren't robust enough if you expect to do any more than a holidays length of wearing. |

| I got these gloves when they first came out. So this review is alittle dated but read on.. I have had a great experience with these gloves and really cant complain much about them. They have kept my hands warm and dry for a few seasons. Fortunately enough none of the stitching has come undone. I will say the palm, leather portion, gets wet in the east coast snow and warmer weather. My hand has never gotten wet from it though. I bought them in white and with little to no problem they have stayed white with no washing or extra care!
I think that skiiers might have the best results with this glove because of the grippy surface on the palm and the padding on the backside of the hand. I'm a snowboarder who is very happy with dry warm hands and would reccoment these to anyone. |

| Love these gloves. Definitely a cold weather glove. I've warn them in sub-zero temps on multiple occasions and haven't had a problem with my hands getting even remotely cold. They do run a little small, but allow for great dexterity and range of motion. Gotten about 30 days in with the cobras and haven't yet experienced any issues with durability. Overall, I'd highly recommend these. Warm, comfortable, sick look. |

| These gloves were perf for what I needed. They can tend to get a bit sweaty on sunny days which is my only complaint. Other than that, they leather is super fly, the white is a great color scheme, good slight finger angles and the cuffs are super comfy on the wrists. Perf for cold snowy days and below and ok for those warm spring days, might be worth getting a less heavy spring pair and these to be set for a season |

| Great gloves while they lasted 03-20-09 |

|
| These gloves were awesome when I first got them. I was riding around 10 degree weather in Utah and wasn't cold. Obviously a mitt will be warmer. I had my dakine mitts in my backpack in case it got too cold but never had to use it. I've also been in rain and snow (wet and dry) and never got wet. My problem is the stitching on the side of the fingers fell apart and the stitching on the velcro tabs fell off. I thought maybe it was something I did wrong but they were happening on both sides. I have less than 10 days on them and they're already doing this. I'm returning them for another pair and will update again after using the new pair. I've had good experiences with Dakine gloves and hope that this was just a defective pair. |

| These gloves are just OK. Fit is great, fairly low-profile, very usable, but just not that warm. Used them for a trip to SW Montana where temps were around 5-10 and my hands just wouldn't stay warm. Ended up using my ancient, destroyed Burton mits. Over 15/20 degrees, these are fine but colder than that, you'll want something else. |

| Easily the best golve that I have ever owned. My biggest problem with golves in the past has been poor construction so they're falling apart by the end of the season. Not a problem with these. Made out of the strongest materials, these gloves fit well, easily go under your jacket's writs closure, and are warm enough for cold Colorado days. The waterproofing is top notch and the gloves just have a beefy feel that makes it clear they're super high quality. |

| These are really great gloves. I have always had cold hands when i would ski, even to the point where I fell off a lift onetime because of it. But I have yet to get really cold hands. They aren't that great for just standing around, but they don't get your hands to warm when skiing hard. Great all around gloves. The waterproofing is really good also. The only thing that isn't good is that the cuff is a little short, but other than that, I love them. |

| I've been using these gloves for about three weeks now and they do the job just fine. My hands are never cold and never feel any sort of wetness throughout a full day of boarding. The leather on the palm side does seem to wear rather quickly and the nylon material between the fingers up by the tips are beginning to tear just a bit. Still fully waterproof and warm though. Although they probably won't make it past this season they are still awesome gloves! |

| The Dakine Cobra gloves are beyond great and they keep my fingers warm in the backcountry in whiteout freezing conditions as well as lift skiing during windy snowstorms. I don't know why some are complaining about the bulkness of this glove as it is just right and the leather keeps the glove from being too stiff. If you haven't figured it out yet, buy these gloves now before they are sold out because you will definitely not be disappointed! |

| I like these gloves a lot. 2 degrees with 50 mph gusts? Hands were warm. Near freezing in the rain? Hands were dry. My only gripe is that the wrist closure is a bit loose, so snow can get in there if it makes it under your cuff. Got the tan ones, my friends are always telling me I forgot to put my gloves on... they think I'm into the au naturale thing which will hopefully yield some apres ski dividends. |

| These gloves are warm and I love the low-profile wrist cuffs that fit underneath my shell. Gauntlets will keep snow out better in case you wipe out, but I find them more annoying to take on and off repeatedly. The Velcro strap adjustment on the wrist cuff isn't very well designed, it's a bit short but still better than nothing. These gloves aren't bulky so dexterity is great given how warm they are. I've only worn these gloves on a few day trips, but other folks have experienced the seams coming loose. Time will tell how durable they are, but so far they are great. |

|
| I'll get right to the point. I made my purchase based on the reviews I read. Boy was I misinformed! For the price, this glove is a joke! I read a review saying "These gloves kept my hands warm in -40C" THIS IS NOT TRUE AT ALL! Also the reviews are over a year old. May be Dakine changed something in there gloves since then. I live 5 minutes south of the Wisconsin state line and they didn't do what everyone said they did. I walked the dog yesterday, it was only 20 degrees, I was only outside 15 minutes and my finger tips started getting cold! Today 1/2/08 it was 18 degrees and my finger tips got cold again! I knew I should have stuck with a glove that has at least 100 grams of Thinsulate Brand insulation and not Thermoloft. I also noticed the Features area for this glove, they never mention how much Thermoloft insulation is in the glove. I ended up wearing my wifes gloves with 100 grams of Thinsulate Brand insulation in them. I was outside using the snow blower for 2 hours, snow blowing everywhere and my wifes gloves kept my hands warm. I'll be returning them tomorrow. BOTTOM LINE: COBRA GT GLOVES LOOK NICE BUT DON'T GET THE JOB DONE! AND THAT'S THE TRUTH! |

| I live and ride in Jackson Hole, riding 100 days a season...It's very cold and windy on some of our upper faces, and the Cobras are very warm, especially for being an underglove, and perfect for this environment. The DWR finish on the leather keeps the gloves from feeling waterlogged/heavy, and the Gore-Tex inserts keep you dry in the wettest of conditions.
Never a problem with leather wearing out or stitching problems. I'm on my 2nd pair only because they start to smell funky for as much as I'm on the mountain!
An amazing value for an underglove and hard to beat given its tech/features. |

Anyway this weekend we had a powder day at Kicking Horse BC - snow up top, rain on the bottom, I've never skied a day like that before and had dry hands at the end of the day. These gloves are amazing, and pretty decent value too. |

| I had the bronco gloves for roughly two seasons, and never had a problem with my hands getting cold. The Cobra is a beefier glove than the Bronco, and has the same feel and fit as the Bronco. So far we have two resorts opened, and I have yet to dislike this new set. I recommend these to the hardcore skiers/riders that want the most warmth, and grab-ability out of a lightweight glove. |

| I have used these gloves around town, in the backcountry, off-piste and lift skiing, and they have performed above the price I paid. If you are susceptible to freezing digits, these gloves will be your savior (they keep my hands on the borderline of being to warm). This is one of the best ski gloves I have ever owned. What keeps the rating below a 5 is the bulkiness of the glove, but a minor objection. |

| These gloves kept my hands warm in -40C, but the stitching in the thumb did tear after a few days of use. It’s easy to fix but could make you cold if it grows. |

| I bought these last year before ski season and it was the best purchase I made! Kept my hands warm, wicked away the sweat, and the curved fingers are great. Buy these gloves - great value!!!! |
