While definitely more breaking-away bike nerd than metal album cover, Cutter still rocks pretty hard. Whether your day consists of surviving the morning commute to work or brake-lessly braving the urban jungles, Cutter makes the gear that’ll keep you in the saddle. Cutter carries everything from tough-as-shit maintenance tools to the kind of urban radness your fixed-gear commuter deserves. From the morning commute to the post-work bar crawl to the late-night urban assault, Cutter keeps cranking. The crew at Cutter doesn’t care where or how you pedal—they just wanna make it way more funnerer.

Simply outstanding   08-08-09

First, don't get these for racing, they're not skintight spandex®. These are incredibly comfortable, soft, just stretchy enough and exceedingly water-resistant. I rode through some pretty nasty wetstuff in New Hampshire this summer and no matter how wet the trails got, the water just beaded off. I suspect that a major downpour would get them soaked, but I further guess that they'd dry really quickly. The workmanship and styling is great: I wore them out for brunch and mini-golf with the family. I'm not a pockets-on-my-gear kind of guy, so the numerous storage possibilities on them are a minor downside for me. But, that's a personal preference. I don't like giving away secrets, but Cutter® is too cool to keep hidden in my closet. Get these! They rock. PS Sizing seems to be spot-on: I'm a 34" waist and the medium fit perfectly. I'm short and they come just below my knees, too. And, finally, they do stretch a bit and they have belt loops, so if your weight fluctuates, these will expand a bit (or vice versa) with you.

It's all about the fit   05-22-09
Bill Schildknecht (3): rating
I've been trying various 3/4 cycling pants/knickers lately and these fit the best by far. The waistband is comfortable and there's plenty of room in the legs. Once I put these on, I didn't want to take them off. Perfect for the work commute.

Awesome   06-01-09
Eddie (13): rating
Great style and fit. Large fit perfectly at 185lbs and 6 feet tall (would not have liked the medium). 99% windproof. Cuffs dont ride up over the knees. Light and breathable with some strech. Stylin enough to wear while not on the bike. Very comfy. The perfect commuter/ bike courier/ cruise down for a cafe americano pant. I added a flat webbing belt (should have came with one).

Honestly, these are great   05-29-09
ClubRider (196): rating
Just got these & rode them to work today. They are not like the other knickers that I have. The subtle style is great. Also these are very comfy to ride in! I am really not into the standard bike short for the shorter rides. These fit well. I am 5'11 & 175. I don't prefer a super tight fit, so I went with the size Large. They are "stretchy" so one could go with the Med if you wanted that "tight" style. Also, these have an "ergo" cut to them that makes them a pleasure to pedal in.

Cutter Tech Knickerbocker-Men's   07-30-09
Geoff Cohen (0): rating
So it has been such a rainy summer, and I was tired of getting soaked to the bone. I was also worried about ruining my wallet and my cell phone so I decided to splurge and try these. $100 for a pair of cycling knickers is more than I can usually spend, but I figured it was less than the cost of a new phone. So I bought them...and now I practically live in them. They repel water like the skin of a crocodile; offer more pockets than I can use; offer an alternative to shorts which just aren't always appropriate to wear but these knickers can squeak by. The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is that, when you are not riding, the knees bag out, offending my sense of high fashion! But really, they have been a great buy and I am very happy with them! Geoff in NYC

Great Knick's   11-20-09
John Civitano (3): rating
I really like the stretchy feel of the material on these. After many rides, the seat area has not worn through. 'Other brands' have issues like the seat wears through after 5 rides, not the Cutters! These knickers seem abrasion proof. The material is stretchy enough that you don't feel the bunching that you sometimes get with knickers that have a velcro closure.overall - pretty cool ... I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because at this price it should have a removable liner/chamois, imo =) i'm 6'1 and 210, 36 waist - the XL fits loosely, just the way i like!

Review Title   10-14-09
emarone (1): rating
I've these knicks for a little over a month now. This morning they finally got their first wet weather test, and I'm pleased to say they exceeded my expectations. It was a typical Seattle fall drizzle on my ride to work, and the water beaded up and rolled right off even better than my rain jacket (which is admittedly overdue for a treatment. I think they're perfect for fall/spring riding, and I've worn them on mornings as cool as 38 degrees in perfect comfort thus far, and I expect they'll be good down to near freezing before I need to switch to wool. They're a little on the warm side when it gets over about 60 degrees, but I'm generally riding something a little lighter at that temp. The cut is pretty true to size (I'm generally a 34-36 waist and the L fits perfectly) and the style is ideal for casual commuting or cruising around town - the articulated knees and stretch in the fabric make them very comfy and they don't bind or ride up where they shouldn't. I usually ride with a chamois base layer, and these accommodate/hide the extra layer just right. They're well worth it, but a little steep at full price. I got mine during the Sag Wagon sale for under $100, and I've seen them on Bonktown a few times around $80.

Knickerbocker is Money   10-06-09
Eric Miller (37): rating
So far I've put in about 15 days on the Cutter Tech Knickerbocker and I don't have a single negative thing to say about them. They hardly look like they've been worn. So pilling, abrasions, or other signs of wear. First things first, I'm about 6' tall, 180 lbs. I typically wear a 34" waist in pants and they fit a little big. I have a medium in the Knickerbocker and fit around the waist is perfect. Just a little loose but they don't slide down. Length is just past my knees. I've worn these on rides from everything from 40 degree mornings, to 85 degree sunny afternoons, 50 degree downpours, to 80 degrees with high humidity. They were comfortable and excelled in all conditions. They do get wet in heavy rain (imagine that) but repel light rains. They don't cling or snag when wet either. They do dry quickly. The stretch fabric offers great range of motion. No tightness when swinging my leg over the bike to get on or off. It moves with you when you ride. Plenty of pockets to store phone, keys, wallet, patch kit, small camera, u-lock ...pretty much anything you want. When empty you hardly notice that there's extra pockets. These are now my go-to bottoms for anytime I ride. I wear them everyday when I commute. I would recommend them 100% to anyone and everyone.

nice but not long enough   09-16-09
Undo (1): rating
I like the fabric and the weight and could be happy with these knickers if only they were longer. My problem is that I'm thin and six feet tall. The medium (which is a little large for my 32 waist size) isn't long enough to stay comfortably below my knees. The fabric rides up to where my knees are exposed more than they should be in a cold breeze. Needs to be about three inches longer. I would recommend these for shorter guys who are looking for an unpadded cycling knicker for cool weather.

NIce fabric   09-15-09
Undo (1): rating
I like the four way stretch fabric and the weight. Overall, nice cycling knickers for cool weather. I'm 6' 0" and got the medium size. These could stand to be an inch or two longer and an inch narrower around the calf. They tend to want to ride up over my knees, defeating the purpose of knickers. I'm not sure I understand all the pockets. There's one which seems to be for a phone or iPod but there's no closure so the device could fall right out. I would recommend these but probably only for people with shorter legs.

I live in these....   08-14-09
ken.laforce2274089 (1): rating
Two weeks of biking in Ireland and I fell in love with these. From gale force winds and rain to hot sun, on the road or on the trail, hiking, off to yoga or to the pub, you just can't beat them. My wife insisted I buy another pair so they get washed once in a while. These rock!

Great knickers   08-06-09
Alexander Waid (6): rating
I love these. I don't want everyone to buy them out, but I can't keep my mouth shut on them, either. They ride very comfortably, shed water very well and whatever moisture they do pick up dries quickly. The styling is great, too. I went from a long ride in the mountains to breakfast out with the fam. and then mini-golf in them. Sure, I didn't smell very good at the end of 18 holes, but I looked damn fine in these knickers (manpris, as my friends call them). They're pretty sweet and you should buy them. Size-wise, they ran pretty true: I've got a 34"waist and the mediums are spot-on. If I gain a little weight, they'll stretch with me, if I lose a little weight, well, maybe I'll get a belt: oh, they've got belt-loops. The only downside, and it's minor, is that there are too many pockets. I'm not a pocket-guy on the bike.

Super sweet knicker, a little tight in the thigh   07-01-09
Brian B. (126): rating
I know not everyone has quads like Captain America, but if you do, these probably won't work for you. They are one of the most impressive pieces of gear I've seen out there (and I've seen a lot), but they were just too tight on my thighs. I bought the XL, because I'm right between a 38 and 40 waist, and the waist fit fine. I have fairly muscular legs, and the bottoms of these were actually tight around my calves as well, leaving the only parts that actually fit as my waist and knees. This was funny to me as I've had two knee surgeries in the last year, and my knees are still swollen pretty regularly. At any rate, this is an incredibly nice piece of equipment if your legs tend more towards aspen than sequoia.

wet weather riding - softshell pants, softshell shorts, - the knicker   06-17-09
bill hartlieb (15): rating
commuting in wet weather can be fun, but you need the right gear. i rarely run around in lycra, always use an over short for abrasion, and to just feel..... normal. but my overshorts i have been using fit like shit. baggy and no stretch, or baggy and weird stretch, or just plain funky. pockets, and weird vents. this knicker is the ticket. stretch woven material that is durable, and water and rain, hell even mud, can not stick to! pockets where i need them, belt loops to just wear a belt. what a concept. you can dirtbag them for days, just keep riding them.... they fit better and better.

Not your average knicker...   06-09-09
bomba'busta (2): rating
I've been riding in these for a few months now and am extremely pleased with the performance. TONS of stretch and a fit that is perfect for cycling. So far I've experienced no pilling - the surface seems extremely abrasion resistant but the inside is very comfortable next to skin. I have about a 32" waist and the mediums fit me perfectly. Unlike other knickers I've tried in the past...the girl friend approves of the Tech Knickerbocker styling, big win.

These are ok.   06-09-09
Tod D (0): rating
I have been riding these for about a month now and I have found them to be ok. They are super strechy and feel good under the butt while riding, but I do not like the pockets on these. The leg pockets are only held down by velcro and flap around in the wind, also the upper pockets holes are too big. They also feel funny around the legs when I am not riding and make me look kind of like I am waring a diaper (its the big pocket opening). Overall they do the job, but I see my self grabing for the other brands I have first, that do not cost $150. (swobo, raceface, woolies, etc.) I purchased the (M) and I usualy ware between a 32-34" waist. Hope this helps.

the best mountain bike pant   05-18-09
bill hartlieb (15): rating
my shorts are long, and are made of a woven material that does not stretch. every pedal stroke i feel the drag of my shorts, the friction. These knickers are the best - stretch woven is best of both worlds - stretchy and 95 % windproof, but durable enough to take the inevitable hit. waters beads off, as well as dirt. i rock a belt in these to keep them in place, there is not gripper elastic or anything weird, just belt loops.
