| Its about the balance. 08-25-09 |

| The additional metal in the back of the handle counterbalances the weight of the blade. This puts the center of gravity right behind the blade where your index finger would rest.
Well designed knife. |

| This blade is legit. it's a little too heavy for my everyday blade, i roll with the crkt m16-13z carson, but it is a staple in my gear bag. My buddy scored me this as a gift for introducing him to the steep but i'm not so sure his wife is as stoked as he is! great blade lenght and super solid construction, this blade is indestructable. still have issues with the clip screws crkt continues to use but other than that i love their blades. I have three in my arsenal. if you are lookin for a heavy duty work knife to keeep in the truck or tool box, or love having spare blades in you gear bag like me, this blade truly is for you. if you want some pansy light weight wanker blade, look elsewhere. |

| this knife is heavy. it has a cool style, elishewitz designed it. however, there's a lot of extra metal in this knife. on top of that, there is a little wiggle in the blade, and that extra lock thing CRKT puts in some knives (which is annoying). overall, too damn heavy. |

| Hard to Open 09-25-09 |

| I've had many one-hand opening knives where you simply push on the stud (or hole) in the blade to open the knife, so I am not a newbie to such knives.
However, the handlescales of this knife are pretty slick despite its woodgrain pattern and the clip on the other side of the handle doesn't really offer good purchase for my fingers.
The low ranking is just for the lack of grip for the hand to open the knife else, like the other reviewers have opined, it's a solid and well-built knife.

| Rock solid knife. A little on the heavy side. I don't notice it when it's in my pocket though. |
