| A Solid boot 11-07-08 |
Joshua Morn
(8):
|
| I picked up last years model - and have put about 30 full days in them. To start, the single lace cable system works well. There is an upper zone that goes from the ankle up the shin, and a lower zone covering the top of the foot. You are able to get a nice custom fit, and I never need to re-adjust after I first put them on. Nothing has broken/fallen off/malfunctioned all year and look forward to this season in them. Only drawback I'd say is that it is a stiffer boot, if you are looking for a new shoe for a freestyle setup - choose another. |

| I really don't have anything negative to say about these boots. They have always kept my feet warm and dry, they are stiff enough to allow me to carve easily, and once you get used to them, they are very easy to put on and take off due to the speed lace system. You really can't beat these boots for the price - it makes me curious as to why people shell out $300+ for other boots when these work very well. |

| Hands down I think the Burton Moto is the best boot ever produced. I have the same pair and have been using them since 07'. Pretty sure it has been the best selling boot Burton has ever made. It just rocks. Nice flex, good lacing system, and keeps your heel locked! Great choice for anyone. Board safe homies! |

| Well I have absolutely nothing to compare these to since they are the first boots I've ever had, but I rode on them for 2 full days and they were very comfortable, never came loose in the middle of a run, and kept my feet warm. They don't have as much flex as I wanted but still a good boot for the price. |

| I got these boots for Christmas in Black/white color. These are really comfortable when you do the imprint technology thing. The way to tighten your boots is hard when you have the size 13. and they kinda get annoying but they are better than any other boot i have had. Very nice and stiff. |

| Just used mine this past weekend for the first time, and all the fears I had about buying boots without trying them on first were put to rest. Fit my Burton bindings perfectly, kept me warm, and looked good. The laces are easy and reliable, too, even if they're not BOAs. What else could you ask for? |

| I rode these on the east coast on some groomers and they were fine, but once i got out to Colorado and hit some powder, and more challenging terrain, i found that my foot was moving around too much inside of the boot (Yes they are the right size). As someone who all mountain rides, I need quick response from my boots, but if my feet are moving around that increases the effort and time neccessary to make my board respond. They did not stay tight for long and it is kind of a pain to find a spot to put the cable ends. These boots put a serious damper on my weekend, buy them if you are a beginner or only riding groomers. |

| So I got these boots after reading the reviews and they got pretty high marks! I am not really sure what the people who wrote those reviews were wearing previously but these are not the boots for someone who has riding more than 2 seasons. I have been riding for 14 years and I thought I could get away with ridding a cheap pair of boots after riding Ions for the last 3 seasons. I was wrong! If you are just starting out these are great boots, If your have been riding awhile I would not settle for anything less than the Ruler. |

| These boots are pretty good, not the best in my opinion. They fit a little tight cause of the liner but it does stretch out a bit. As for the lacing system, it stays tight while you ride but there is no good place to put the ends and they usually end up dragging. |

| I bought these boots a few weeks ago and just had the chance to use them this past weekend. The lacing system allows you to put them on very quickly and stay tight all day. They are also ver yvery warm boots and supply good support so your feet won't hurt after a day on the hill. I am definately glad I bought these boots! |

| I havent used them yet, but everything is well made. Tough materials, tough stitching, strong lacing system. My first impression of the speed zone system was that i would rip it off trying the boots on, but it was amazingly solid. Im a novice boarder, so the speed will certainly help, as will ability to adjust on the mountain. Seems pretty true to show sizes, i wear a 12 shoe and the size 12 boot fits perfectly with a pair of merino wool socks. |

| Good entry-level boot 11-13-09 |
Alex Chan
(0):
|
| The Burton Moto is an entry level boot designed for the beginning rider. The first thing I should say about these boots is that they pack out fairly quickly; after about 8 days on the slopes, they were about a half size larger. By 10 days on the slopes, I was getting a bit of heel lift. The speedzone lacing is fast, but since this boot uses the speedzone express where there's only one pull cord, I found it somewhat difficult to adequately tighten the lower zone independently from the upper zone. I also found I had to tighten these boots after every few runs because the cord catch would loosen. These boots are very flexible which is good for a beginner or the park-rat. Unlike other reviewers, I found these boots very comfortable. There's only a single speedzone lacing pull on this boot, so you get a little bit less ability to control the tightening on different parts of the book. If you're a beginner, but you're relatively sure you'll be riding quite a bit, I would actually recommend spending a few more dollars to get a slightly higher end boot. These will work for the budget conscious rider though. |

| I've owned these boots for the last few years so I purchased these thinking they would be pretty similar... wrong. The single pull lacing is a joke compared to the two zone system of the previous year, and although I sized the boot correctly I am getting tons of heel lift. Looks like the Rulers will be getting at my bank account this year. On a positive note it is nice to know Backcountry.com will take care of my return, thanks guys! |

|
| These are the only boots i have ever had that i haven't had to tighten after the first 3 runs. Once you have your feet in these boots, they are in till you take them out. They keep you warm and with a good pair of socks, no moisture accumulates. Ridden with them for a full season and I have no complaints. Another thing, these boots help you do whatever you want to do on your board, they react great with tricks. |

| I got these boots for both of my boys ages 11 and 14. Their feet are growing crazt fast these days so I didn't want to drop huge bucks on some boots they will outgrow in a season or two. They are both very happy with the Moto's. Took about 2 days for one the boots to break-in and be comfortable for my younger son. Good boot for the price.

| My feet are weird - 9.5 is a little too snug on one foot, and 10 is a little too loose for the other. But I'm new to the sport so I went smaller. All the rentals I ever used were 10 and had laces, so the pull system was new to me, but the boots NEVER came loose or undone and never needed to be tightened. Once they're on, they're on. |

| Another great product for the price.
The speed lacing system is great. I'm laced and ready to go while others are still getting their laces straight.
The boot is stiffer, so maybe not the best for the park, but it wouldn't prohibit it either. I'd say it's a good all around boot,
There's really no point in spending $200+ on a boot when there are products in this range that work as well as they do. |

| Great for a beginner 03-10-09 |
Rohan
(3):
|
| Great pair for a beginner and you can't bet the price. First time I tried these one they were the worst fitting pair I have tried; user error. After adequately loosening the lace and fit with snowboard sock they were great. Dislike the fact that there is no lace hole on the ankle section, that would make them pretty snug. Having difficulties tightening the lower zone, again that angle lacing hole would really help. However, for a beginner those same deficiency will prevent you from getting sprain or broken ankle on a bad spill. All that said, they keep my feet warm every on the closets days. So far, we've had -12 to -24 degree and I didn't have to worry about feet getting cold once. Again for the price, these are great boots for beginners on a budget. |

| I just started snowboarding, so I don't have much experience with different boots. These feel great and are easy to slip on and off. However, the complaints about the lacing system not staying tight are true. it's not a major issue, you just have to tighten them every couple of runs. I would recommend these, you can't beat the price. |

| Great entry-level boot, comfortable after pack-out and warm, stiff enough to control an entry/intermediate board on the slopes rather than just the park with good bindings. The speed lacing system is a little wonky: once you figure out the best way to tighten / lock them they work great and get you out of the lodge fast as possible, but if you're careless the cables can come loose on the lift / hill. On the plus side you can tighten them easily with gloves on, so it's an easy fix. |

| For the price, I found this to be a damn fine boot! The break in period was about a two day stretch. I am normally a 9.5/10 (regular shoes), but needed a 10.5 in these guys.
The first day I had to keep stopping and re-tightening them. I have not had hem fitted, which may alleviate some of the issues I had.
They were super easy to walk in and the straps were as easy as can be imagined. Seemed difficult to get them SUPER tight, if you wanted them that way!
Worked good with the Custom bindings as well! Certainly were a great beg/int boot. They flexed a little, but to be expected on a lower end boot. |
