Mmmm..... new binding smell   05-04-09
Steezzzy-E (58): rating
So, I got these post season so I cant really say how they ride yet. Ill review that in the future. For now Ill just say they seem well built. Pretty light. Love the little pouch, perfect size to hold a torque driver tool. Wish it was on both bindings though. Its only on the right. Also, it kinda sucks burton only puts padding on the 3 hole burton D pattern mounts. The 4 hole std pattern mounts are just plastic. Damn you Burton. Ima post some pics to illustrate. Anyway, im very excited to rock these next season.

Solid Binder   02-18-09
powderntrees (4): rating
Since 2004, I have been riding the 04 P1s and now the 08 P1s, and both have been solid performers. They have matched up well with my old burton rulers and now my 32 lashed. They might not be the stiffest binding out there, but I have never felt like I needed more support, and there is still enough flex to let you tweak grabs, etc. One of my biggest gripes with bindings is when the ratchets slip (usually on cold, snowy days) and neither of my sets of P1s has even done that. The straps are super comfortable, and the bindings are still very responsive even when the straps aren't really tightened down. Definitely recommended. Only potential issue, not really a biggie, is that the baseplate is only padded on the Burton 3 hole version, not the 4 hole version; so if you don't have a burton board and this is a big deal to you, might be something to consider.

responsive   04-21-09

the rest of the reviews on here are confusing me so I decided to write one. I have the 08 ones and it was my first year with high end burton bindings. have ridden the freestyles, drake leblanc, ride rx, and thenrome arsenals. this was my first "high end" binding and I was not disappointed at all. super comfy, toe cap never came off my toes, no pressure points on heel or toe strap, and very responsive!! good mix of all mountain stability, and freestyle flex. I ride pretty hard and they held up well all season. overall best binding I have ridden yet(duh)

sex on fire   02-28-09
dav2868633 (3): rating
these are the sex on fire bindings. i love em. have only ridden twice on them, so dont know how durable they are. i love how they flex in the right way, and are stiff in the right way. they are responsive. they have good adjustment all around. and the baseplate keeps you up off the board to eliminate heel / toe drag. they are also much lighter than my previous binding. all in all, good job burton, and props to backcountry on their great pricing and customer service!!

emm yeah.   10-23-09

I guess I'll be the only one on here to not suck burtons chode and go off on these bindings. they are "ok" for about the first 5 days, but man after that straps started breaking, clips started breaking. I had also bought these because somebody had said they were stiff.. Whatever, these are flimsy as all get out. The would be a decent park binding i guess. compared to the "older" technine bindings, and ride, i must say I am not a fan of the burton flimsy feel. keep drinking the juice.

shred it   03-23-09

The overall quality of the bindings are great and ride smooth. The binding toe straps tend to loosen up often half way through a run. Beside the toes strap the binding kick ass and are worth the money. Take the time to set up the binding custom for your comfort.

Go press!   03-23-09
moodymulle2054275 (1): rating
I just got a set of last seasons P1s, grudgingly, as I hate Burton's money grabbing screw systems. My old Head PX7 bindings (which i loved for freeride & big mountain) never fitted my last season's burton Jussi properly, and my old (old) customs had toe strap issues with my DC boots. Basically I've had to eat my burton bashing words. The P1s are AWESOME for butters and presses, have comfy straps, avoid any heel/toe drag issues and fit my boots well. Great in the park and hold up to ferocious freeride bashings too (tho not as sturdy as the Head PX7s). Foam padding getting a bit freyed tho.

Killer Setup, NIce Ride   03-11-09
sparks2774566 (5): rating
I bought the P1 SZ bindings and they're killer. Ratcheting them up is super easy and quick. Rip cord cinch for the ankle strap is pretty durable, been out about 7/8 times now and they're still holding up pretty well. Highly recommend the bindings either regular and especially the SZ bindings.

Awesome.   12-05-08
PlCKIES (2): rating
These are the cushiest bindings ive ever ridden. Got them in Green. The pouch on the back is a bonus, its padded even more than the white and black ones already are. These are much lighter than last year's p1. Awesome bindings.

good at first   03-03-09
luke2222 (2): rating
I liked riding these bindings at first, but as I continued by about the 3rd week the whole binding was breaking down and the straps are the most flimsy unsupportive things ever after a month of riding. In my opinion burton doesn't make products to last

The P1 to the P1.1   04-10-09
Feldy (2): rating
I started using P1s back in 2004 and have been upgrading since. Last pair were the P1 Uninc logo splashed wingtips. I have officially decided to upgrade to the new P1.1 in white. Throughout the last four or five years it is safe to say I have done just about everything you could with these bindings from powder days to park days. I have used Rome, Ride, and a few others. I found that nothing compares to the P1 comfort wise. These bindings have the perfect amount of cushion, flex, and they are durable as hell. In all the years the only thing that has ever happened is the capstrap on the toe had the binding lever fall off due to a loose screw. It was my fault though. Everyone should check screws before they go boarding. The P1 has been my binding of choice. I have thought about the Cartel, triad, and Co2. If I were ever to walk away from the P1 it would be to try the C60's. Burton bindings are the only bindings I have ever used because they are the ish straight up. I never worry about a thing while I am riding and that is how it should be. The capstrap was my favorite innovation ever. I hate the over the foot straps. The P1.1 Looks amazing. I am not some Burton only person as the only Burton products I rock are the bindings they make. The Triad lounge IS the ugliest binding ever made by Burton... see....haha All in all you can't go wrong with the purchase of the P1. I will be switching my old Wingtips out with the P1.1 and will write another post on how they hold up with no bull included. But the track record for this binding is an A+.
