Best bindings ever!   07-29-08
shredbunnies.homestead.com (437): rating
These year after year are my favorite bindings. I wear a size 6.5 boot and mediums can adjust down small enough and smalls can adjust large enough. I choose to go with the mediums so if people need to borrow bindings and have normal sized feet they can borrow mine. The flex on these are great. offers awesome support and cushioning. I am stoked on the top caps for this years bindings. Just offers a better fit on the toes. I use these bindings for everything. powder, park, pipe and kiteboarding. Great dampening in the heal and foot. You don't feel every little bump or whomp in the snow. Stomping landings don't hurt in these either. you will love life in these bindings.

Perfect for carving   03-15-09
catiecoo (21): rating
I had some issues with the ankle straps when I took them out the first day (see the question I posted below). However, after some adjustment, the discomfort went away. By moving the ankle strap one notch up, the pressure points on the inner side of my feet went away. These Burtons fit very snugly with my Salomon boots. The toe strap on the back foot sometimes becomes loose during riding, but I think that's because of the fact that they fit really snug, and when I sit down to strap on the back foot, the foot doesn't get all the way into the binding even though I crank down the straps tight. This can be easily solved by standing up and let the gravity do its job, then tighten the straps again. My setup is stiff bindings, stiff boots, and stiff board. This translates to precise carving turns on groomed trails. These bindings are so responsive compared to my previous bindings that I no longer have to worry about catching an edge due to sluggish response.

Color on Escapades   10-17-08
shredbunnies.homestead.com (437): rating
The color teal/zebra is not as sky blue as the burton website shows and is even a bit darker than this site shows. It is a darker green/blue - teal color. The heal strap this yaer has a bubble padding as opposed to squishy padding. We will see how the bubbles hold up this season. The material the air bubbles are held in seems durable. The hea straps and toe straps are easier to adjust length on this year as opposed to last years. I have a year over year comparision on burton escapades over the past 3 years on my blog.

Power to PLAY   02-06-09
Rachel Kristi (2): rating
I'm completely sold on these bindings. I have the teal zebra color, and I do agree with the above review that the bindings are absolutely not the color shown...it's more of a bright jungle green if you ask me. Sweet, nontheless, but not the color shown. I'd say if you're iffy on color, order a black or white pair and save yourself headache or disappointment later. Anyway, the bindings have essentially the most comfortable and responsive system I've ever experienced. I took the time to carefully adjust the bindings to the boots I use them with, which took a little time but it was well worth it. I have never experienced such smooth, fluid control and connection with my board. You simply gotta try it :)

Love 'em!   05-07-09
RachelKristi (12): rating
These are by far my favorite bindings. They are very light, so they don't add a lot of weight to your board, but are extremely responsive and just the right amount of stiffness in my opinion. I have two pairs of the black and a pair of the teal zebra ones. As others have mentioned, the teal zebra is not as bluish as pictured here and is more jungle green (think: crayola crayon jungle green...fun color but not whats shown!). The air capstrap held up pretty well through a season of aggressive riding. Just now toward the end of the season I am starting to notice a bit of wear on the far edges of the top part of the cap strap, probably from the constant friction when being ridden. Overall, I couldn't be happier than I am with these bindings and will probably pick up some of next year's when they come out, too! One finally note, the bindings are probably slightly stiff for park riding but I manage to make it work. I prefer kickers and jumps to rails and boxes, though.

amazing bindings, for sure.   05-03-09

i've only just learned how to snowboard this past season, and after i fell in love with it, i realized it was time to stop renting cheap burton gear. i bought myself a board, some comfy boots, and the escapade bindings. lemme tell you. THESE ROCK. they are really really comfortable, but they offer a lot of support. even at the end of the day, i was ready to keep boarding. it's also ridiculously easy to carve with these bindings helping you out, so these keep you having fun, and not frustrated or tired. i got the white and gold ones, and seriously, they look awesome. if you aren't sure if these are for you, just get em. you won't be sorry.

if it were legal, i'd marry these bindings   03-30-09

ok so not really, but ... All I can say is WOW. When I heard these were responsive, I had no idea. Coming from a crappier setup, this is like riding a sick of butter in a hot pan. I do all kinds of mountain riding, and these are perfect! I put em on the Troop and there is no chatter and my feet / shins / ankles don't ache after hitting it hard on the packed powder. These bindings made jumps much sicker. The price was awesome too. I totally recommend these!

Great Binding   03-30-09

I love the way the bindings really hug the heels of my boots… with my old bindings I had a problem with heel slippage when I took a deep carve.

If you're on the sizing cusp - go up   03-14-09
bro2968559 (1): rating
Just recieved the bindings. I wear a size 8.5 or 9 womans boot (depending on brand) and bought the L bindings - I was surprised to find that I needed to adjust the toe strap so it was fully extended. Recommend anyone on the cusp of the sizing chart to go up to the L.
