| Great boot 12-05-06 |

| Bought these boots from this site about 2 weeks before the season started so I had a chance to break them in a bit and get them heat-molded. These boots are amazingly comfortable. No pressure points and the lacing system is top-notch. Burton has seemed to fix some of the problems found in last year's speed lacing systems, so all is well in that department. After a full day, you'll feel the boot start to fit a bit looser, but I think that's to be expected. I wear a size 14, so half sizes weren't an option, but if you wear a 12 or under, make sure the boot fits a little tight. The heat molding will push it out and it will make sure a more consistent ride. All in all, this boot truly does Rule. |

| These boots were even nicer than I expected. The lace-less independent zone control is incredibly convenient! |

| The boot is very comfortable with the lacing system and the cushoning wich makes a great landing but dont get to big of size cuz the lacing stretches easy and your heel lifts more and its very stiff when you first get it otherwise its a great boot. |

| I have been riding the Ruler family for a while now...from the 98 Ruler to the SI Ruler, and now this year's model. What really intrigued me was the quick and easily adjustable lace system. I tried on a few boots that had internal and external Boa cable systems, and I never could get any heel lockdown with those. The Burton interior liner boot fit me much better, although I wish the pull lacing on the interior liner would better retain the slide lock...it seems to slide a half inch back when I try to tighten it, and I wanted a bit more support. Footprint isn't 1 size smaller than they advertise (supposed to be less boot drag on extreme heel and toe side turns) and the volume around ankle strap is pretty beefy..I had to let out my strap and it's on it's last adjustable hole. It is a bit stiff to start out with, but breaking nicely after day 3. Very responsive, and that is what most people are looking for in the Ruler. The grip the put on the back spine works well with bindings, and I didn't feel any boot lift from the bindings.
I should be good to go for the next few seasons! Burton is still pushing the envelope and offering the best teched out stuff out there. |

| Well I should probably qualify my review by first stating that my old boots were about as useful as wearing high heels out snowboarding. They were completely destroyed. Given that though, I still feel like these Burton boots are absolutely amazing. The lace system work very well...no slipping at all. Heel lift is non-existent, and I really like being able to adjust the top and bottom part of the boot separately, unlike the BOA boots out there. Also unlike ANY boots I have ever worn, I am completely comfy in these boots all day long! No numb or frozen toes! They also seem to be perfect flex, the park is definitely still doable, but I can carve turns on steep icy choppy garbage too. I have yet to get them into deep powder because I am in California and we are having the crappiest winter I have ever seen, so...I am sure they will rip there too though. Anyway I would highly recommend these boots to anyone!

| Very comfy out of the box, no pressure points. After 1 season (about 70 days), the boot packed out about 1 full size, the speed zone lace (while convenient) fell apart, the toe ripped and peeled back on one foot, and the threads ripped on the other. Not good tread for hiking. It fits great paired with other Burton bindings. Very soft boot, nearly no support after the break in.
They're great for a beginning rider who rides few days a year, but don't hold up well to rough treatment. |

| The speed lace system is amazing. These are by far the best boots I have ever worn. I appreciate the previous reviwer recommending a .5 size smaller than I normally wear, as the heat moldable insert will flex out over time. Can't go wrong with these boots! Thanks, you have a comitted customer for life. |

| when i first got these boots i was worried first time i tried them on, that i had gotten too small a size, but after them heat moulders got to work, they are heaps good. a good rule is to get boots that are the same size as your runners, that way you know your going to get an awesome fit. speed zone lacing kicks ass too. all round an awesome boot. |

| i have these boots. They're pretty sick.
all the good reviews on it are true except the no pressure points comment, cuz each person has different feet and u need to find what fits to your foot the best.
You should definitely not buy these a size bigger cuz of the way the speed lace system works.... and just in case u cared, if the laces feel loose on top its probably just cuz your leg is a little skinnier than what the boot can tighten up to. its not a big problem though cuz once i got strapped in it was all the same |

| So it's the end of the season and I only got to use the boots once. What I noticed was it was a little hard to tighten but i'm sure over time I will get used to them. I was afraid that I was going to break the string. THere is one thing I noticed; when I pulled to tighten, i heard something snap... it wasn't the laces, but the part where the laces go into the handle where you tighten them. On the other hand, I love the look of the boots and the feel, they are very comfortable and warm. I am a girl with size 11 in Women's and burton doesn't make the size 11 so I went to men's and I was surprised at the great color choices, it was like I was getting women's only bigger and better ;) |

| The new boots are great. I was happy to read previous reviews about buying a 1/2 size smaller. We tried a pair on -thought they fit and then ordered smaller. Perfect! I bought these for my daughter and did not hear ANY complaining about the new fit or feet being cold. A great purchase! |

| Warning: Buy a half-size bigger. These are my first Burton boots and their sizing runs small. I gave it a few days to break-in but the relief is still not enough even when wearing thin socks.
On the plus side, everything else works really well. I especially like Burton's Speed Zone lacing system. |

| The Ruler boots are super comfy and pretty light. Every penny of the price tag was worth it. These boots are awesome. The lacing system takes a little getting used to if you're transitioning from traditional lace ups, but it's a huge improvement. |

| This is my first pair of snowboard boots and they are amazing!!!! The control is incredible, and they are very warm. The only down side to them is the complexity of learning how to tie the boots with the new Speed Lacing. If it came with general instructions as to how to adjust the boots they would be perfect. Great boots though. |

| Best Boots Yet 01-12-07 |
Pragmatic Lemur

| These boots are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I have size 12 feet so I am always having to look harder for boots. Every boot I have had in the past has cramped my toes or squashed the sides of my feet. These actually fit perfect! I am very happy with them. I gave them 4 stars however, because there is a tiny strand coming out of the toe, which doesn't affect anything really, but it kind of annoying. Besides that, I will probably only buy Rulers from now on. |

| Not a bad boot performance wise but my 3rd day out the lacing system failed--the eyelets of the outer system tore loose while tightening. Burton has had trouble with their speed lacing systems in the past and still cant get it right. The boots also have a chemical odor that hasn't faded in a month. These boots just seem cheap. |
