| Totally worth the money. Best binding on the market and not the most expensive. Fully adjustable and light weight. |

| the cartel is a pretty nice binding accept i only enjoyed it free riding, in the park it was harder to grab because of the skyback even without any foward lean.
the cartel is a great binding for freeriding and backcountry but if your riding the park get a different binding |

| These bindings are awesome. I thought all bindings were pretty much the same until i used them. they are so comfortable i hardly notice them but keep my boots entirely secure. the only downside is the price but it is well worth it. |

| As someone fairly new to snowboarding, I thought bindings were all the same. But after using the Cartels, I've realized it makes all the difference! Light, responsive, and best of all, you can't even tell you have any bindings on. |

| these bindings are amazing i only took them out for about 10 days so far and I love them the have just enough forward lean and the baseplate really dampers the vibes when you land. |

| So i have had the chance to ride 3 different sets of bindings this year... The Forum Areas, The Flux Stream, and the Burton Cartels. All worn with the same boot and on the same board. The cartels definatly come in last. On my 3rd trip the the mountain the toe strap snapped, i replaced that, and than the ratchet apparatus complete fell apart, while i was tryign to get at LEAST a decent amount of toe hold, u really have to wrench these things down to get a decent hold. I have never had this problem with any other binding from burton just the cartel. Just kinda dissapointed me coming from such a well know company known for quality.... |

| These bindings really make you ride hard. No just cruising in them. The amount of forward lean these bindings have really wears your legs down on long runs. They are adjustable, and you can move the flad on the highback, but you are still quite forward when strapped in. Still a great binding. Just a bit too much forward lean for me. |

| Alright bindings for just riding down a hill. But in the park they are awful. The forward lean, even when it is adjusted to its minimum is terrible. It just feels like somethings pushing your legs out from under you |

| I purchased these at the end of the season to replace a pair of 5 year old Mission bindings. I originally used the Missions on a Custom board and moved them over to a Vapor a year ago. Because I changed boots, the Missions no longer fit properly, thus the motivation for the Cartel purchase.
Comfort: These bindings are much more comfortable than the older Missions. They have padded straps and need not be clinched as tight as the older bindings to secure the boot. Note that either because newer Burton boots are bulkier (Burton denies this, but my comparison between 4 year old Sabbath and current Serow's suggests it is the case), I bought a large Cartel binding to replace the medium sized Mission I previously used. For this reason, a prospective buyer should try boots/bindings before purchase.
Wear: I've only had a chance to ride these on about 20 runs at Mt Baker. That is too few to assess their durability.
Performance: I was hesitant to purchase newer and more expensive bindings, since I really couldn't believe that they would make any difference in performance. However, I was wrong. Surprisingly, performance was dramatically improved compared to the older style bindings. Response and control were much better. Lighter materials transmit more "feel". I mostly used them for freeriding, for which they are top rate performers.
Conclusion: An excellent binding for the sale price. Watch the highbacks when you get on the lift. They are thin and appear fragile, making them liable to break if they catch on the chair. |

| my friend had just bought them on his second day of riding on them he hit a jump and on the landing the base plate broke in half. if you like jumps get a binding with a stronger baseplate. i recommend unions they come with lifetime warranty and i have had them for year so far and i love them for everything. |

| While these are the most comfortable bindings I have ever used, beware if you are 190 lbs or so. I am 5' 10" 190lbs. These bindings broke after hitting one jump in the park. I broke the base in half from the toe to the heel. Pics here http://picasaweb.google.com/moye.christopher/BrokenCartels
Now, if you are a lighter weight rider, then these will probably work just fine for you. The straps are exceptionally comfortable. The toe Cap strap holds the boot back in the binding nicely with out creating pressure points on the toe. The ankle provides sufficient heel hold and lateral movement also while not making pressure points.

| I ended up renting a pair of these from WaveRave in Mammoth, when my hommies bindings didn't work out. Comfy biding!!! The skyback really makes your heal-side turns a piece of cake! I love the toe-cap feature too, at first I wasn't too sure about it, but after riding them I'm convinced it's the way to go. I picked up the moss/fade to go with my green/kaki jacket and pants. WOO! yeah for Cartels!!! |

| I've been riding for over 15 years, and this is the best binding I've ever ridden. It locks your foot in tight for super control. The EVA padding is amazing against ice chatter, and they allow all the adjustments to fit any rider. High end features and quality for half the price. Great binding! |

| I bought a new Forum Seeker Board on a friday n decided i want to get some new bindings to go with it. So after doing some research i choose the new Burton Cartels. And im more than happy with them! there great everywhere, in the park or thru the trees, super comfy and always quick to respond. i Highly reccomend them. i used to ride Burton Customs and these Cartels are miles better than my old bindings. |

| These are light!! I was giddy taking off my old bindings and putting these on my board. The toe is perfect and keeps my dialed for every ride all day. I agree with park comment earlier, with the high backs things get a little cramped for grabs. |

| First off, price is unbeatable. Second, these bindings i got may be 07's but they blow all the 08 bindings away. accept for mabey the 08 Cartels. They have an awesome toe hugger strap. Alot of 08 bindings say they can v=be both types of toestraps(regular, and toe hugger)but when it comes to actually feeling like a toe hugger, and preforming like one, while having the option of taking it apart and also making it a 100% normal strap. Theses bindings are classics, good style at a great price with preformance that shows who's bossin' the terrain |
