Wow, I would have never guessed this jacket would be as cute as it is! The color is so great, it is so comfy and the length is perfect. The subtle striping adds a lot and I wanted a jacket with removable "fur" trim on the hood. I wasn't sure I would like the stretch around the wrist and bottom, but, it helps keep snow out and me warm. And, yes I chose the purple eggplant color and love it.

Well I finally got to wear this in the snow. -7 with a tee-shirt and all was sweet. On warmer days open the arm vents and you will be riding in comfort. One small issue is you HAVE to remove the fur trim if it is snowing heavy or you end up with chunks in your face. Also the hood is a little deep but with a beanie on it wasn't as bad. This could have been because I brought the Meduim when I could fit in the small but I like room to move. Over a great looking jacket and made for all conditions.

Dogfunk rocks... I live in OZ and with the help of the live chat "guys" I chose the Madison in Fossil. I am yet to take it to the snow as the season doesn't start until July but it is so warm I worked up a sweat camping in 5 degree C temps. As for fit and style it is great. I will be able to wear it anywhere not just on the slopes. In regard to sizing I am a size 10 and brought the Medium. It is a little loose and a small would have fit all be it snuggly. I prefer to have room to move. Over all a Magnificent jacket.

This jacket rocks. Its very warm, has all the right features, including the pocket for your mp3 player, and the snowguard, and it looks hot too! I love the infrared color. My only complaint is that the sizes run a bit big. So if you want it loose thats great but otherwise order it a size smaller than normal.

as always, dogfunk comes through. this jacket is so sweet and this is one of the only online stores that sells it. the eggplant color is awesome. the fur is easy to remove if it's dumping. the inside liner of the jacket is extra cool. the weight of the jacket is perfect for the warmer california clime. and of course, all the extra goodies that come with burton jackets makes it completely worthwhile. make sure you buy some burton pants, too, cuz all the hookups on the lower part of the jacket sync nicely to the pants! my only qualm (which I'll get over real quick) is that the hand pockets are at an upward angle, which makes actually putting your hands inside them a little difficult. minor detail though. you know you want to buy it, so go for it. cheers!
