I bought this jacket to go with the coordinating pants (AK 3L Static Pant)so that I could take advantage of the Link ZIP feature and hopefully not take on a truckload of snow every time I tossed a cartwheel. So, so worth it. I might have spent a little more than I'd wanted for this jacket/pant combo, but I can say that in chilly conditions (9 degrees, wind, snow, deep powder) I was warm, dry and totally comfortable all day long. Even with repeated cartwheels which I maintain were due to the low visibility and not my haphazard method of descending the back side of the mtn in Steamboat. For any rider who's tired of having an icy ass at the end of the day, this is your rig.
