Sizing is SMALL   02-28-07

Hi Ladies! I just got this harness is the mail today... so I can't really tell you how it works, but I can tell you to order a size or two bigger. I am a pretty universal size 8- you know, occasionally a 6, occasionally a 10... and the size 8, well, I barely sneak into it. I am returning it to get a bigger size- thought I would save you the time! Cheers & Happy Climbing!

Two Thumbs up.... super comfy, functional harness!   05-06-07
alpinejewlz (9): rating
I bought the Diva to replace my old cragging harness but it is so light and comfortable that I think it will be my new alpine harness as well. At just 10 1/2oz, you'll be hard pressed to find a lighter harness. Even the stripped down, no padding, very utilitarian Alpine Bod is heavier. With the Diva you won't have to give up comfort however thanks to the padded waist and leg loops. The leg loops are not adjustable but have elastic so they should work with a range of sizes. My only complaint about this harness is that the leg loops don't drop when nature calls but to be honest I very rarely used that feature on my old harness anyway. I found the gear loops to be a little small but they are textured which is nice as it keeps your gear from bunching up on the loops. (That being said, I think I will cut them off anyway as they would be quite uncomfortable with a pack on so I think I'm just going to McGyver up some webbing loops so I can use it for alpine climbing and glacier travel too.) I've read in other reviews that it fits small but I didn't find that to be the case. Best to try it on before you buy it anyway though. Time will tell if this ultralight construction can hold up but it is reasonably priced and it's probably a good idea to replace your harness fairly regularly anyway.

True to Size   05-29-08

Bought this harness for my wife and the first comment was that after wearing gym harnesses this felt like wearing nothing at all! The sizing, we found was true to the sizing guide provided so probably rather than immediately going up a few sizes, take a tape measure and get the important numbers around the thighs and waist.. no matter how much the truth hurts! All in all this is a great harness at a fantastic price. Doesn't matter that its made in China as long as its made to BD's standards.

Diva Harness Women's? Why not for men...   04-14-07
Petrosini (2): rating
Bought that one simply because it was that cheap and I did not see any reason why it should not fit a normal sized man. I already have 2 harnesses. 1 Salewa (old) and a pretty new Black Diamond Blizzard for mixed and ice routes. So I decided to use it as a replacement for my older Salewa. And it is perfect. Freedom of movement in all directions. You hardly recognize that you're actually wearing it. Size I'd say is according to the BD size table and I chose a 10 according to my measurements, which turned out to be perfect. I wanted to give the harness 4 points because of missing Ice Clipper sleeves, but what the heck, that's not what it is intended for. But I do love that Ice Clipper system for any gear besides quickdraws. So if you also have a lot of gear on your harness, then try one that can actually hold some Ice Clippers. Truly great. Aside of that really good gear from BD, as usual!

Small size, light padding, but very lightweight   03-08-07
EmpressCao (1): rating
This harness definitely runs small--I'm a size 8 and I needed to get the 10. Another thing to keep in mind is that the thigh straps are not adjustable, so if you have very skinny or very large thighs, you won't be able to control the fit. This harness is very lightweight, and sometimes it feels like it could have done with a little more padding, but I can't complain when schlepping it into the backcountry.
