This glove combines warmth, dexterity and durability in one slick package. I used a pair all last season and they showed little signs of wear. They are definately the one pair I look to grab on the way out the door - awesome gloves.

These are extremely warm - plenty of insulation at the fingertips mean warm digits. It also means a loss of dexterity and the insulation at the tips tends to catch in carabiner gates when fumbling for ice screws, etc. Wouldn't choose them for sports requiring dexterity but great for holding ski poles, etc.

I thought these were fully h2o proof but after one day of lift accessed at jackson hole my hands were pretty soggy. Maybe I'm wearing them the wrong way. I bought a pair of marmot ultimate ski gloves and they were way better in the same conditions that week.

I find this glove to be pretty warm down to the mid teens. It has excellent dexterity, leather is high quality,looks sharp,nice long gauntlet to keep snow out,easy on'off. The issues that I have with this type of glove is that although they are warm the breathability is compromised by the leather. After a full day skiing`the gloves are very damp on the inside, not as bad as my marmot patrol gloves but pretty close. If I did not have a boot/glove drier to use each night than I would not be able to wear these gloves for multiple days without some way to rapidly dry them. So overall nice day b.c/resort glove. Would buy again but wouldn't use on overnights without having two pairs of gloves.

These have nice and snug fit on my hands and don't have a padded-down feeling at all. The leather palms are really grippy and tight.

These gloves are hard to get dry. After a day of hard skiing, they are steamed up inside. Hanging them up under the furnace vent overnight didn't get them dried out, and my hands were frozen the next day. Also, the huge gauntlet acts like a funnel to fill them with snow if you fall. Frankly, these aren't any better than mass market gloves at half the price.

I bought these gloves because I needed a warm glove with leather palms for rope work. I volunteer with a mountain rescue group and recently used the Patrol Gloves on an overnight glacier trip. The gloves kept my hand warm, even when wet and it was reasonably easy to handle ropes, etc.

I had recurring problems with less sturdy gloves made of leather and fabric, these gloves are hardcore! The heavy-wear areas are completely reinforced.

The glove is immediately comfortable and supple enough to permit a reasonable amount of dexterity for Patrolling tasks. Regretfully, it does not have a removable liner. The solution: because I do not want the inside of the glove to get grungy and because I sometimes need extra warmth, I wear a separate glove liner (either the $8 thermax or $20 fleece) which can be washed or replaced. The gloves are functional and look great too.

I wore this glove this weekend on the highest chairlift in North America (the new Imperial Express Lift at Breckenridge). It was about -10F at the top. My hands were frozen after about 10 minutes. These gloves do not keep the cold out. I switched to my Drop ski gloves and my hands were toasty warm!

Because of the excellent reviews, I wore these gloves skiing on the new Imperial Express Chairlift at Breckenridge. It was -10 degrees at the top of the bowl. My fingers were frozen solid after one run. This was with hand warmers in the gloves. I switched back to my Drop Ski gloves and my fingers were toasty warm. I would not recommend these gloves.

Unfortunately I may have misunderstood the purpose of these gloves because I took them to Mammoth and within 1 hour they were soaked through. They are very comfortable gloves but if you want to stay warm you better not touch the ground.

These are some tough gloves! I use them for everything: backcountry skiing, mountaineering, snow machining, and rope rescue work. I just can't seem to destroy them, and I am exceptionally tough on gloves. These gloves are tested "Alaska Tough".

Perfect for just about all conditions. It has to get really cold for these to start to struggle. I wear these all the time and carry a pair of Marmot Ultimate Gloves in my pack for the rare occasions that these start to get the chill.

Great glove except... The gauntlet is awful. Too tight and narrow and not insulated. So, while my fingers were toasty, my wrists got quite cold!
