| Awesome pants! 06-09-09 |

| These Bc pants are my favorite for hiking and bouldering, even in summer weather (below probably 88 degrees or so). They breathe like no other pant I've ever worn, while still holding up to scrapes and bumps against rocks, thorns and branches. Another thing I love about them is how stretchy they are, which makes scrambling up and around boulders much easier. ROCK ON BC!! |

| If these fit you, they are nice pants for hiking or travel. The pant legs are on the slim side, so if you have athletic quads/thighs, they will be somewhat tight on you. The stretch fabric does avoid binding, though. The zippered cargo pocket is big enough to hold a passport, but not much more. |

| Great in the Backcountry 08-23-09 |

| Just got back from my first official test of the Overhang pant: Crestone Peak, CO. These pants were great in the backcountry. They're very light weight, super breathable, and quite a bit more durable than I suspected at first. Coming down from the summit, there was a lot of scraping my @$$ on the rock of the class 3 gully, but the pants show no signs of wear at all. The material is thin and stretches quite a bit, and they breathed enough for me to stay comfortable on the trip in temps ranging from the mid 40's to the low 80's. The pocket on the right leg was great for easy access to my camera too. Haven't had a chance to see how they shed water yet, but I've been impressed by their dry functionality. I usually wear 32x32 jeans (fitted casually - I'm 5'11, 160 lbs.) and the medium fit great, with just a little bit of wiggle room in the waist. Solid product BC, keep it up. |

| When my shipment came i wasn't sure they put anything in it. These things are light and stretchy. power shield is my softshell material of choice. I wear a 36x34 and these fit great in the XL. These are great multi purpose pants, wear them in all seasons, just throw some long underwear bottoms on like the BC primes and these make pretty good snow pants. |

| I have a 38 waist and 33 inseam and the large pants fit really nice. They are extremely comfy and shed water. They feel good but look a little "plasticky". The color changes somewhat on the amount of light available. It ranges from dark brown to a mauve-ish color. Besides that they are extremely light weight, don't make me sweat and don't catch cat hair! |

| Wore these on a three day hiking trip in the Sierras 10/2009 and they performed great! Never felt uncomfortable after 24 miles wearing these pants and a Patagonia Cap3 base. I wore a small and they were a bit snug but the build of the pants and the stretchiness of the fabric gave it amazing freedom of movement. Protection from the elements proved to be really good as well. Great wind protection and water beads on the fabric and rolls away. Highly recommend these pants! BC products are great! |

| if it's a single garment, why do we call it by a plural term, like 'these'?
Anyway, I've gone for three fall hikes in this pant and I love it. Didn't overheat on the nice days, and I think I can go colder without any layers.
The pockets feel a little weird, to the point that I don't put anything in the hand-pockets, and only featherweight items in the cargos. I got away with leaving my cell phone in the right-back pocket, which has a little sleeve inside for just such a thing, and it didn't make my behind too sweaty underneath.
Also, I agree with the other posters who say that the fabirc is tougher than it appears. Having bushwhacked with them (I should have stayed on the trail...) I say that from experience. |

| These pants are a great all in one pants. Great water repellency, wind resistance, and breathablity. Just went on a hike in about -10C with the wind and i felt nothing come through the pants. Oh and to top if off these pants stretch so no matter what position the pants are always comfortable. |

| Great pants for cool weather hiking and rock climbing. Not suitable for ice climbing or mountaineering.
These are actually very thin, lightweight, stretchy pants. They are not very warm or windproof, but on the other hand they breathe like no other. I'm 33/30 and I got a large, but probably should have gotten a medium. With a pack on I think the pants would get pushed down on my waist due to the loose fit and stretchyness (unless I wear a belt). |

| These are seriously the most comfortable pants I own! They move extremely well and don't seem to snag on much of anything....so far. The only thing I would change is the waist. The waist is just a little too big for me but I need the length, yet I don't want to wear a belt so for now I'll either wear a belt or deal with droopy drawers. Either way they're my favorite pants in the collection! |

| super resilient, lightweight, breathable, stretchy. Perfect for backpacking, climbing, or just about anything athletic outdoors. I'm 6' 190lbs with a 34"waist in denims, the Large fit spot on. Too bad backcountry doesn't recognize that they have such a good product here to offer it in more colors. |

| I got a pair of these on SAC. I'm a 32x32 and was worried about the length given the sizing however the waist and the length of the medium were just fine. They are definitely a lighter/thinner softshell but they block the wind very well. For colder temps in the winter I'll put a baselayer underneath. The fit is comfortable and nice and stretchy. Good for strenuous hiking/scrambling or anything where you want good freedom of movement. Nice # of pockets and a couple with zippers. Only functional complaints: I prefer an integrated belt and it would be nice to have adjustable cuffs on the legs for use in the snow. However, my biggest problem with them is the color. I usually don't care much about looks or fashion, but these will not go with anything in your wardrobe. The color and look of the fabric make them look like they belong with a bad 70's polyester suit. I wear them walking the dogs pre-dawn and in the backcountry, but not where anyone will see me. |

| I've been wearing these while training for my Nepal trip. They will be good for low-land trekking and will also be good under my waterproof pants up above Namche Bazaar. They are still too short though. I went up to medium to get a little more inseam, but even that is a little short. I also wish there was a way to tighten the waistband. I hate to wear a belt when I carry a full pack. |

| This is a lightweight stretch woven pant. Quite water resistant, haven't had to try it in the wind yet. Material is fairly soft to the touch but is pretty durable so far. I'm 5'10" with a 30" waist and 33" inseam, the medium fits me well with a belt. It's comfortable in up to 90 degree weather. |

| Unfortunately i was unimpressed by this product - the fit was shocking...short legs with my ankels unprotected and the crotch hanging way too low and the leg design is extremely poor!
I will be returning this item.

| For some reason, I haven't had much luck fitting into BC.com clothing. Either the article was too big/small or was just plain weird fitting. Along comes the Overhang pant at 50% off. Fits like the tailor around the corner made them for me. That being said, I usually wear a medium, for these I sized to to the large. Perfect. Although it's too hot in NYC to wear these right now, I'm looking forward to a lot of use when hiking come fall. Fabric feels light and right. With a layer underneath, I can even imagine wearing them while spring skiing. Cheers. |

| I wear 30x32 pants and neither the size s nor the size m would do it for me. I returned them in the end.
These pants are ultralight and they work well for hiking in lots of different conditions (rugged - despite the stretchiness of the material). When it rained, the feeling was kind of strange -- the raindrops felt cold, but there wasn't a sensation of wetness. Anyway, if they produced a size somewhere in between S and M, I'd buy it. |

| These pants are absolutely awesome. I'm usually 29x30 or 30x30 and the small fits perfect. The slim fit is really stylish and comfortable but it doesn't restrict your movements because the material has the perfect amount of stretchiness to it. They breathe well, I wear them on light hikes when its in the 70's. They're also super durable - I wore them bushwhacking through thick vegetation in the middle of the night with no tears or anything. Definitely my favorite pair of pants. I love BC gear! |

| Like previous reviews, love these pants. They are not real stiff and burly softshell material, but they strecth/breath like crazy. They shed light rain nicely and are very comfortable in temps up to mid-high 80s. Highly recommend these for bouldering/climbing and or any outdoor activity. The belt loops a nice plus (my REI softshells have these too) and there are a ample pockets for all your needs. Medium fit me great, normally wear 32-33 waist and 30-31 inseam. |

| Great great great. very nice looking with subtle lable and pockets. great fit but fits a bit small. I'm a 30 x 32 and the small is a bit small but perfect for climbing. Very light weight and durable. I can't say enough about these. Similar to the black diamond BVD pants but lighter and breathes better. probably not as durable though. If you need climbing pants these are perfect. Did I mention the fleece on the waist for chaffing under a harness? |
