Wind/Water resisetn outer layer. 04-20-09

Great pullover. I wore this riding this weekend in Fruita and although it was sunny it was windy and cold when you were out of the sun. This was the perfect outer layer. It let the heat escape and kept the wind from penetrating so I was never too cold or too hot. This is going to be my new go-to spring bike layer and my bet is it will be perfect for back country skiing as well.

My boyfriend surprised me with this jacket, and it has become a go-to piece for my winter runs. I live in the Finger Lakes region (upstate NY), and I find myself throwing this on for runs when temps are in the high teens and 20s and winds are light. No need to layer--I just throw it on over a sportsbra or insulating tank and am plenty warm. The fleece lining is super comfortable on my arms and midriff, the collar zips up nice and tight, and the soft lining of the collar is a great and cozy touch. The jacket is quiet and light, and the half zip really opens up to let cool air in when you warm up in a tailwind. I love this jacket. Fit was good in a medium (I'm 5'8", 34B). Sleeves hit right at the bottom of my hands, so they can't do double duty to protect hands from the cold as with some jackets, but my windmits can be stuffed into the sleeve stash pocket, so sleeve length is no defect.

My husband got me this for my birthday. I did have to return the medium for a large, but that is mostly because of layering and the sleeve length. (I'm 5'8", 34B, 125lbs) I just wore it out for a run today (15 degrees, 5 with windchill) and it was AWESOME! I did layer it over a polypro turtleneck and another running shirt. I was toasty and didn't feel the wind. LOVE IT!

I got this as a gift for my girlfriend, who is pretty chesty. She normally wears a size medium in t-shirts, etc., so I figured I would get here a large. The size was okay as a mid-layer or running jacket, but as a multi-purpose jacket, she returned it for the extra large to have room to wear something underneath. Other than that, she loves that jacket. It is soft and light weight, and will work fine for a spring/fall windbreaker.

I got this to wear running in the cool weather, but it is not cut for women who are chesty. Everywhere else it fit great, good sleeve length and perfect in the shoulders and waist. I was bummed to return it, but needed something that fit.

The fit on these is great. Medium fit is dead on. I wear medium in all shirts and jackets and the medium in this fits me great. I got to help on the sizing of this piece and it is really dialed. Great fabric feel and the color is a very pretty lavender. flap on the back side of the zipper top so your chin does not get all chaffed.
