Arc'teryx Rho AR Boot-Cut Bottom - Men's
Arc’teryx takes their own approach to technical outerwear and climbing gear. Instead of imitating existing designs, Arc’teryx innovates with their own solutions. Narrow seam taping, laminated pockets, welding instead of sewing, and revolutionary WaterTight zippers are hallmarks of this Canadian company. Their distinctive designs won’t be found on the backs of every rock-jock or snow-bro, only on those adventurers that know true quality when they see it.

Decent base layer   12-14-07

Being that they are the most expensive base layer, they just didn't "WoW" me like I expected...they didn't really stand out...I have a pair of medium weight Cloudveil and light weight Icebreaker base layer pants and those did stand out as being excellent gear. I'm short for my weight, so I should have know that a boot fit wouldn't really be a "boot fit" for me. I was disappointed by that fact, so these arrived and they look like capris on me...lol..I guess thats better than the alternative of buying the full length and being several inches too long! I just put my socks and kept these above my boots when I was putting my ski boots on, then they kind of "swim" above my boots. I guess it still reduces the material that's bunched up or getting in the way. I think i'll have these tailored to my height to make them work like they are meant to be. The description doesn't tell you but these are made from a thick Polartec material (about the thickness of a sweatshirt). They do keep you warm.

Still too short!   04-10-08

I'm not the tallest guy in the world at 5'9" but am surely near or above average in the skiing world. The S,M and L of these are all the same length and unless you're 6', they're probably going to require a bit of rolling to sit above your boot top. Great otherwise.

Best of Class   02-25-09

I have worn mid-layer bottoms from many different manufacturers over the years but nothing comes close to these when it comes to comfort and warmth.

I found the length fine...   12-14-08

You look a little weird wearing 'em with no shell pants on but it's a great concept. Huge fan of the Powerstretch fabric as a bottom baselayer under shell pants.

had these on today in 10 degrees with wind that made it feel colder. with just the Rho AR and my stingray pants, i was nice and toasty. my legs didn't feel the cold *at all* highly recommended.

Excellent Layer   12-14-06

These boot-cut pants are the best middle layer I have seen. I tried Patagonia as well as bean fleece. The RHO AR leg pocket is great. I hate rear butt cheek pockets. I also have the SK bib pants and they work well together. No ankle material to get in the way of your boots. Highly recommended.

Nice quality, a bit long....but I am a bit short   02-27-08

If you're average height (5'9"ish) you'll probably want the small. Your typical excellent Arc'Teryx quality and comfort. I liked them so much that I'm going to buy the small so I have a pair that are actually boot cut instead of capris.
