Comfortable piece, relaxed fit. No wind blocking, but it's a sweater, not a wind-breaker. Looks good enough to wear at the office over shirt and tie. Has a lose elastic closer at the wrists, and waist (no problems with it turning up at the waist because of this). Very good in cold conditions, yet I don't seem to overheat in moderate conditions or indoors. Slate color is grey/brown, looks more brown than shown on this site.

This top is thicker not in a bad way to some of the other Arc'teryx tops i have. Really nicely put together looks good and toasty warm so happy days.

Looks great anywhere. Worn it hiking and also to fancy dinners. Very very warm. Only complain is that the bottom tends to curl and expose the underside, otherwise very nice fit for my frame.

Ultra-soft fleece makes me never want to take this off. I take it skiing, hiking, backpacking and yet its still stylish enough to wear to work.

| Nice sweater type cover, but for $100+ its not worth it. It sheds a little water, but doesn't block the wind at all for the weave is looser than even most $40 sweaters, and the one little upper sleeve pocket is too small for just about everything.

This has become my favorite piece of clothing. It not only keeps me warm, it looks good as well. I've gotten many compliments and everyone wants to know where I got it. It it not windproof, but it works great under a softshell.

Another brilliant piece of warmth from the best outfitter line available. The first time I put this on (in the Maritime Provinces of Canada) I was sweating in sub-freezing temps. I can't wait to break this out during the next blizzard!

I love the look, the soft feel of it, and the pocket on the arm (great for a cell phone), and the snug fit. But if you wear it outside where there's even a bit of wind, you feel the wind go through it, and that kinda sucks. I mean, with similar fleece tops from other companies like Patagonia, that hasn't happened to me. With all the big talk I got about Arc'teryx being ahead of the competition on technology, how could they have made such a gaff? I got responses about it being a "layer," but that just sounds like bull&$%#, to be honest. If Patagonia can make a semi-wind proof fleece top for less money to the consumer than Arc'teryx, so can Arc'teryx.

Warm and rugged. Something different from plain old fleece and seems more breathable than fleece under a shell. It doesn't feel like spun plastic, but nor it is hot and itchy like wool. It goes anywhere when the temp's below 25F, but is as bulky as comparable fleece.

After ordering and receiving an Arc'teryx Covert Collar for my brother for Xmas, I quickly put one on my list for Santa. He came through, and I wore it for the next three days in New England. It worked well for the 0 degree trip to the diner for breakfast, backyard sledding with the kids, and skating at the hockey rink. It is super soft, warm, layers well, and covers sweater duties. A new favorite in the closet - when I'm not already wearing it.
