Description of Volcom Lip Op Double Surfboard Bag:
Don’t just chuck your boards in the back of your wagon with all your crap. The Volcom Lip Op Double Surfboard Bag protects two boards, so you have no excuse to transport ‘em haphazardly. This zippered-entry bag’s light insulation protects your decks from extreme temperatures. The tough tarpaulin material stands up to dings, bangs, and abrasion, and the webbed binding keeps your boards from rattling around.
This is a stylish bag, but if you want to carry two boards in it, don't plan on it unless your boards are about 1 inch thick... I tried putting a 6'6" and a 6'3" in the 6'10" double bag--ended tragically. There is plenty of room at the wide end to fit one board with skegs in it and another board without, but if you attempt to zip it up, the bag lacks the volume to zip up over the thickness of the boards about halfway down the bag, even if both of them do not have the fins installed. Also, there are two fin pockets for your spare fins, but no other storage in the bag unless you want your additional accessories to rattle around in the bag with your board. My main complaint is that I paid more money for a bag that should hold two boards, but only holds one. If I wanted a bag that held one board, I would have paid less money for a single-board bag. Granted, the two boards I tied to put in are about 2.5 inches thick, but it seems to me that the bag should fit any normal board dimensions. Otherwise, the bag is made of great materials, and the design is cool. Other than lack of storage and volume, this bag is the jam.
i bought a 6"5 bag and was able to fit my 6"2 and 6"8 shortboards with ease with their fins on. I even was able to fit my 6"2 with a 158cm snowboard with large bindings and size 13 boots. Overall awesome bag.
