Description of Volcom Cache Snowboard Jacket - Women's:
Zip into the Volcom Women's Cache Snowboard Jacket and hunt down the hidden powder stashes. The 10K-rated waterproof fabric and fully taped seams block moisture, so you can charge through the fluff without getting soaked. The Cache Snowboard Jacket's leather trim details and exposed metal front zipper add street style. Thanks to a wicking liner and Underarm zips, the Cache Jacket won't get hot and stuffy during spring days in the park. This Volcom shell's powder skirt keeps snow out, and an audio pocket holds your music player, so you can pull up the Cache's hood, turn up your tunes, and drown out that annoying person next to you on the chairlift.
Bottom Line: Volcom's Cache Snowboard Jacket let's you ride the pow without soaking your baselayers in the process.
The accents of leather just give this a little extra that other outwear does not have. I wear volcom in medium tops normally. This medium was a bit big and baggy on me. That might be the style they are going for. The fabric is really durable as well. I love the contrasting pattern to solid colors and leather. Great coat, very warm, I got really hot just having it on and not just hot from being so stylish!
Although this jacket is just a shell its really quite warm, riding the slopes of Whistler wearing anything more than just a long sleeve thermal seems to be way too much. This IS NOT a lightweight jacket either... I find it very heavy, and still quite stiff after 2 seasons of wear.
This is a really stylish jacket. I bought this jacket in the khaki/brown, and the leather accents definitely make this jacket stand out. As far as features go, it has the standard pockets for your ipod and pass, as well as a powder skirt. It runs a bit large, but gives you plenty of room to layer up (which is great, since this jacket seems to be just a shell). My only complaint is that the ribbed part of the jacket is way too tight on my waist, which eventually tends to ride up. But other than that, it's a sweet jacket, on and off the slopes.
