Vans AV Era Skate Shoe - Men's
Since 1966 Vans has been putting shoes on the feet of skaters and surfers. Their canvas shoes with gum rubber soles gripped onto slick piers and skinny skate decks like nothing else before it. In short time their waffle pattern sole and colorful uppers became synonymous with southern California board riding culture. Throughout the '70s and '80s skatedecks grew bigger, surfboards got smaller, and music got louder. It was during these fast times that Vans solidified their reputation with legendary skateboarders and original punk rockers, Tony Alva and Steve Caballero. To this day, Vans shoes have been worn to more skate missions, mosh pits and surf breaks than any other.

The Vans Men's AV Era Skate Shoe gets its basic design from the original 1976 Era, but, with the help of Anthony Van Engelen, Vans reconstructed it to withstand the abuse of modern street skating. The high-quality canvas and suede uppers lend the AV Era its signature style and durability. An EVA midsole cushions and absorbs shock on hard impacts, and the all-new Boardfeel technology adds vulcanized grip and sensitivity to a cupsole with increased support. The AV Era's slimmer profile reduces weight and improves flex, giving your feet more natural movement than ever.

Bottom Line: Vans gave the AV Era Skate Shoe all the benefits of the classic Era, but taught it some new tricks.

These shoes are very light and comfortable, but the only thing I did not like was the heel slips. If you have skinny heels, these shoes may not work, or size them down, they pack out pretty well. Otherwise a decent shoe

If I could use one word to describe these shoes I would have to choose DURABLE. Aside from the the quality of the shoe, it gives off some sweet style. AV ERA HOLLA BACK.
