Bottom Line: Protection and insulation for urban or alpine conditions.
Now just as a pretense I'm going to let you guys know that I'm currently in Afghanistan and to some you may be shocked to hear that it actually snows where I am. I've grown up to be a huge fan of layering. I hate having a jacket that is too big where you're either too hot with it on or you freeze your proverbial boys off. The Blad is a great outer layer. With it's windproof laminate and it's inner lining it makes for a great light weather coat. If it's too cold outside, just throw a light weight thermal on under it and you're back in business. The one down fall I've found with it though is the lack of pit-zips. After marching around the mountains for a while you could really go for a quick cool off by opening up those little pockets. It's a great coat other wise. If you're also looking for some style, well it's got that too.
Just got this jacket today. I am 6'2" about 210lbs and in good shape. I was undecided as to whether to get a L or an XL. I usually get XL in everything, but got a L and it fits perfectly. I was worried about the chest being too tight. It was a little tight around the shoulders at first, but stretched out a bit and fits great. Sleeves are good length and good length around the waist. The only complaint that I have is that the neck is too tight. I have a big neck (17 3/4) and when I zip it up all the way I can't put my chin down under it. Probably not supposed to be zipped up all the way b/c the collar is so short in length, but would have been nice. Overall the material is good. Not quite as warm as I would have liked, but seems windproof and probably good with moisture too. Great product for the price.
This jacket is amazing. An unbelievable wind breaker. Comfy and cozy, this jacket cuts the wind like nothing you have ever experienced. It is not big and bulky. Under Armour makes the best workout/work gear on the market. It tends to be a little more expensive. But, once you have experienced Under Armour, you will be hanging Nike and Adidas on the rack. I am 5'11", 230 lbs, weight lifter, fighter, 52" chest. I love the fit.
