When you think of sun-protection clothing, you usually don’t think of a stylin’, soft, stretchy dress. And when you wrap your brain around the idea of a stylin’, sun-protection dress, wicking fabric doesn’t usually enter the picture. Brace yourself. The North Face Celestine Travel Dress has UPF 30-rated fabric with VaporWick, plenty of stretch, and a mix of recycled polyester and organic cotton. The Celestine hits just below the knee and has an elastic loop at the inside neckline so you can roll this dress up and secure it for compact packing.
Bottom Line: Earth-friendly, UV-blocking, wicking, and stylin’.
With a name like Celestine, I had higher hopes for this dress, but found the fabric clingy and somewhat thin, which does not work for my body type (hips...). Also, the placement of the tie back seemed arbitrary and the overall fit was odd. I returned it.
