Your beach-ball-colored rain jacket is fine for hiking and backpacking, but you want something with a more casual look for work commutes and overseas travels. The North Face Women’s Kelly Trench uses a mix of classy, trench-coat style and waterproof breathable HyVent fabric. The internal media pocket holds your music player for the subway ride and the Kelly’s hood detaches for less bulk when it’s merely misting out.
I am 5'6", usually wear M size (chest 37"). Ordered L. It looks pretty good, stylish, fits right at the chest and hips. Sleeves, however, are too long and tight around armpits and upper arms - cannot put on much layering, only light fleece or light sweater. Did not have a chance to test it in the rain.
Still thinking of returning it.
